Randi drove home, away from the Crowe house with the words of Buck burned into her head. He said she didn't have the balls to do anything and he was right. That's what pissed her off the most. She didn't want to turn brother against brother, but if he did, she would tell Beau. Although right now, she wasn't saying anything. She and him were not even on speaking terms right now and she had no one to turn to. She would talk to Jude about it all, but he was back at the house also. She barely saw him anymore he was so busy.
She didn't live too far from the Crowe house, only a few miles or so and she hadn't even paid attention to the sound of the dirt bike that was following. Not closely, but it could be heard if someone was listening.
She parked in her spot and moved down the breezeway to her corner apartment, fumbling with the keys in her hand to bring out the front door key. Now she heard the bike as the whirring engine broke through the silence of the trees and thrum of cicada bugs. With the door half way open she looked back to see Buck practically throwing the bike to the ground to get to her.
Once the kick stand was down, she shook her head and frowned. "Go home, Buck. I ain't got nothing to say to you."
She had a lot to say to him but she felt like a wounded dog right now. Beau and her were fighting, Buck was acting crazy and she just wanted to be alone to try and figure all this out. She wanted to throw out the flowers and the notes. She wanted to clean her apartment and move so they couldn't find her again.
"Just go!" She didn't want to make a scene outside and garner the attention of her neighbors. She knew Buck would get in trouble and they would call the cops if they saw him coming at her. She didn't want him to go to jail. Without Bryce knowing the police would come for him, it was possible he would spend the night in jail.
He was coming at her fast and she went inside, trying to slam the door before he could get inside. But Buck was wiley and fast and he was right behind her, pushing the door back open and letting himself in behind her.
