Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Connor grew up in a rather quiet town. He was your casual guy with a casual dream around casual people. Or was he? Connor grew up seeing his father and mother become a sucess in the business indestry. They would prefer spending time working and very little at home. They always lived in the future, where Connor was blind for such a life.
Realising that he enjoyed helping people out, putting himself to the max and testing his judgment, while having little control from his parents side, Connor decided to begin the firefighters training. A dirty, yet a much more to his liking job, rather than counting numbers. A sad truth, but Connor wouldn't even remember when was the last time he saw or heard from his parents after he moved out. Sometimes he wasn't even sure if he ever had parents.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- It had to be a normal day at work, but it wasn't. On the news you'd hear about accidents happening. Road blocks, fire going out of control, shooting, massive panic. Something was happening, but every news channel claimed a different thing. It wasn't long before similer things started to happen in Maine state.
It was at the point when Connor with his team got to a street, that had not only cars blocking the road and massive shout and panic, but dead man walking. It was happening before Connors eyes. A man who would die, would come back to life as one of those slow walkers. Captain of the firesquad ordered to put on breathing masks as he believed it was a bioweapon of some sort. Seeing that Police wasn't in control anymore, countless injured and dead people walking, there was little they could do.
The next order was clear as sky that day. Get the hell out. They were no longer in control, no one was. Helping one or two people on the way, Connor and his team returned to the Fire Department. They took anything usefull and everyone scattered. Some heading back to help, others to their families and in search for safety. Connor was one of those. Returning home, he grabbed all the stuff he could take and drive as far as possible, trying to find out where was the safe spot. Yet he did not hurry there. A mass gathering of people was never a good idea. And to everyone's horror, he was right. It wasn't long before all meeting point created by the gotherment fell, one by one.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- Connor learned how to survive with the things he had. He could improvise, he had hands growing from the right spot, he was in good shape and he was swift. After a a week or so he lost contact with the civilisation. Streets were dead, roads blocked, shops scavenged. At first, people were gathering in small groupes. Helping each other out. But that was until food and water became an issue. In a sense it was strange. So many people Connor met seemd smart, yet only few would even think, let alone bother to boil the water from the rivers or lakes. People would get illnesses and diseases from things that should have been easily avoided with a bit of common sense. But he couldn't blame all of them. Some people simply had no idea what to do other than to count numbers. Others simply didn't try to. Everyone including Connor himself lived believing that everything will get back to normal in a few days and that they just had to live through this. But it never did.
