Avatar Photo:
Age: 24
Race: Japanese/American (Mom/Dad)
Gender: Female
Appearance: Stands about 5'4", skinny with brown hair and brown eyes. A beauty mark on her upper lip in the center. A small cherry blossom tattoo on her right shoulder.
Alignment: Good
Occupation: Bookstore Owner
Where they are from: Charleston, West Virginia
Relationships: Fiancé (status unknown)
Weapons: Wakizashi and 4 Kunai
Items: She wears her engagement ring around her neck so it is closer to her heart. Cross-shoulder bag that she made out of what remained of an old quilt she was given by her grandmother on her father's side (American). Inside she keeps an old tattered copy of Memoirs of a Geisha, a gift from her childhood best friend (location unknown). A small photo album of her most precious pictures. A small notebook with a cheap pen that she found.
Vehicle: Vespa - left behind
Personality: A caring woman who knows how to kick ass. She's begun to keep her distance from strangers, learning that not everyone is as good as they seem to be. She proceeds with caution but can be the warmest person. The loss of her mother to a walker has made her worrisome that her best friend and fiancé are also dead but she holds out hope that they're just a strong as she is...and just as lucky.
Special Skills and Strengths: Her father, while American, had a deep interest in Japan and it's many art forms. He signed her up for karate at a young age and taught her to use the weapons he owned (like the Wakizashi and the Kunai) incase she ever needed to defend herself.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Stubborn, she doesn't know when to give up. Her constant need to help others prevents her from getting to Chicago sooner.
Prior to the Apocalypse: Lived a happy life with her Japanese mother and American father in their rural community. She grew up with her close friend Alexis and the two were inseparable. Even into college the two kept in touch, even if they could only see each other a few times a year and didn't talk every day. When Kiku graduated from WVU, she settled down in Charleston, WV and opened up her own used bookstore. She'd met her loving fiancé Al in college and they were planning their wedding for the next year. He left to go to Chicago for a business trip and she hasn't seen him since.
Post Apocalypse: When all hell broke loose she was at her store stocking some books. She heard screams and looked out her front windows in confusion, mobs of people were running with looks of terror on their faces. Taking no chance's she ran behind her counter to grab her keys to the apartment upstairs. As soon as she got inside she saw the terrible things happening below. She grabbed her bag and a few personal items (sure she'd never return again) and her Wakizashi. She began heading to her door and ran back for the Kunai her father had left her in his will that she nearly forgot she now owned. When she made it to street level she fought her way to the Vespa she owned and left behind the building. When she got to her mother's home it had been too late. She saw her mother on the porch dead with a walker eating her. Fighting back tears she tore out of the subdivision, dodging any traffic, she headed West towards Kentucky. She'd later abandon her Vespa for a number of other vehicles. Her goal was to get to Chicago.
