Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Growing up in Beverly Hills was a luxury his parents always seemed to remind him and his sister about. They were a pair and were sometimes made fun of because of their names. It seemed like a little joke from their parents, but they were actually named after their grandparents, Jack and Jill Coltrin. Him and his sister embraced the names and wore them proudly like a badge to discourage bullies. It was a good life with their father opening his own business, having spent the first few years of infancy in Silicon Valley, before moving to Los Angeles to start his own company. They knew the value of hard work as they watched their father work up to 16 hours a day. Their mother stayed home and with that, often times took them out to Santa Monica, where they grew up on the pier and the beach. Both he and his sister loved the waves, the water and as they turned pre-teen, found a love of surfing. They were both good at it and as they reached their formative teen years, their talents were discovered as they joined the pro circuit. Many years were spent traveling to South America, the East Coast and staying in California for competitions and they were stars in their own right.
With the blessing (and financial aid) of their father, they both moved to Santa Monica to live full time and surf full time. Jack and Jill shared a condo on the beach and it was a good life. Salt, sand, sea and parties were the mainstream of every day life and often times they could be seen paired up as the cover or feature story in sports magazines as the brother/sister team to beat on the circuit.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-From the first day, his sister had a bad feeling. Something was not right and she knew it. His sister was empathic, he was sure of that and something didn't feel right in the water. Like a tsunami was coming but she couldn't put her fingers on it. He didn't believe her and kept on with life, until about a week into the apocalypse when Los Angeles started to fall. It spread like wild fire to the outlaying cities and for a time, him and Jill went back to their parent's mansion in Beverly Hills where they locked the gates and stayed inside.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
-It was about a year into the outbreak when his parents became sick and died. They turned too and having watched endless hours of television until there was no more power, they knew what had to happen. But they couldn't stay in the mansion after that. No power, no food and raiders. That's what the once richest city in America had become...a place for bandits and beggars. They had to get back to the beach. Back at the condo, it was a rocky ride for a while. They met up with strangers and became friends, helping to lock down the building, secure and protect it. At least, to one side they had the beach even though straggling walkers would shamble through the sand. They set up an alarm system of cans and strings if the biters came on the condo property and after another year him and his sister were starting to perfect the art of living in a world that no longer had sweet luxuries.
