Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse: With no father figure in her life and her mother almost constantly working long shifts at the hospital, Alexandra and her brothers had very little parental guidance throughout their early life. She spent much of her free time divulging in books, including medical texts, bibliographies, and historical pieces, all of which aided her in basic knowledge of anatomy, medicine, and history. From here, Alexandra decided she wants to attend medical school and follow in the footsteps of her mother - becoming a doctor, helping people, saving lives - and begins working part time at a local bar and grille to begin paying for her education. Along with working, she regularly spent time with her siblings, even after she moved out of her mother's house at eighteen, often telling tales of her experiences as a bartender (and with Chris, although she didn't necessarily mention that) to her younger brothers Wyatt and Liam. Her older brother, Chris, was often a negative influence in her life, convincing her on several occaisons to experiment with illegal drugs and connecting her to a part of Boston's illegal underworld. After a close call while working with her brother, Chris, to discover who stole his product, Alexandra decides to invest in self defense classes so she is able to protect herself.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?: Alexandra was working a day shift at the grille, which were typically slow and uneventful. She was informed of the outbreak via television, where she was informed that a deadly unknown infection was spreading around the globe - and quickly. To her dismay, Boston was no exception when she stumbled outside to find dozens of victims of the disease, torn to pieces in accidents or by biters, laying strewn across the streets of the city. Buildings were on fire and collapsing to the ground, crushing civilians upon impact. She had walked into the beginning of the new world - a living hell. Realizing it was too dangerous to risk traveling the distance to her siblings, at least for now, Alexandra locked herself and two other customers in the bar for three and a half days before being forced to flee and abandon the bar after one of the customers accidentally catches the attention of a group of biters in an attempt to leave the bar.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse: After being forced to abandon the bar, Alexandra, scared shitless, isn't sure what to do. If it wasn't for being discovered by a group of early survivors who took her to the safety of a secured bank vault where they had been holding up for days and planned to continue to do so, it was likely that she wouldn't have survived at all. Now armed, with her new group to thank, she utilizes her skills of self defense, becoming increasingly experienced at close combat and defending herself and others from biters. After about two and a half years, Alexandra decides to leave her group in search for a better one - one with more manpower, better resources - and begins on a six month trek that still continues, being kept alive by pure luck and the help of other survivors.
