Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- A journalist and former TA reserve. He left Britain as a political correspondent ion Washington for the BBC. He had many contacts inside Washington and was on speaking terms with a few senators and congressmen. He grew acclaim for his writing and reports of the controversy over the Iraq invasion and the 2008 election. He was soon expected to be moved back to London and become the lead political editor or run for parliament himself. His family owned a pub and had occupied Birmingham for generations. His brothers were still in the TA and worked in Britain at the pub or local bookies.
During his time in the TA reserves he served in Iraq in 2004 for a short tour. He also wrote an account of his experience as part of a shared experiences biography. During the Iraq invasion he was wounded with a bullet to the shoulder and a piece of shrapnel in his abdomen. He has scars.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-He was interviewing a congressman when the security cordon went up. He managed to barter a ride in a police car and pick his sister up from work. He was forced to kill an assailant on the front door and their police escort was killed. Afterwards he stayed in his apartment with his visiting sister who was working as an intern at a lobbying country. They held up in their for a few weeks.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- Travelled around the North East Cities and Washington DC. He attempted to find one of his former contacts with an attempt to gain passage home. Such attempts failed as many politicians knowing the true extent of the disaster avoided acquaintances and used their resources to save themselves rather than others. He attempted to find a boat on the coast for a few months. However his sister and he were divided during a herd and therefore he has remained in the United States searching for her. Eddie has spent many months yet cannot come to terms with the probable demise of his sister and his family back home. He was raised to believe the Finch family were invincible. Bred from a different stock. Too ashamed to return home and face his family with out.
