After the little incident she had with Rhett, teasing him about Nina, she finished her game of darts and her beer, heading back to the garage to just have that time alone. She didn't mind spending time alone as it gave her time to consider the different workings of the engines she wanted to build and rebuild, being creative with the welding torch and figuring out ways to reinforce the cars that came in.
As she came back in to the shop, she left the jumpsuit open and tied around her waist, steel toed boots shuffling along the ground as she moved to her tool box to make sure everything was still in order. She wasn't worried about anyone taking her tools, but with this rowdy group, one could never be terribly sure.
She moved to the Jeep she had been working in, going to the workbench next to it and sitting down as she picked up the alternator and looked it over. It wasn't in bad shape, but there were a few stripped teeth from the gear head and she would likely have to find a new one. As she tinkered with it, she thought about a good place to ransack for more parts and remembered a place off A1A that had likely gone untouched. Raiders and scavengers were looking for food and gas, clothing and essentials like soap and toothpaste. They didn't consider when their cars broke down and that's when people from the Wasteland became Gods.
She wiped at her brow a little considering how hot it got in the warehouse and just took her time. She hummed quietly to herself, realizing she was singing Sweet Home Alabama that had just played on the jukebox. It was at that moment she realized she hadn't been thinking of Jimmy. Slowly he was starting to disappear from her mind, day by day and that thought made her a little sad.
She sighed and continued to work on the alternator, seeing what other parts she would need for it to keep her mind busy.
