Annie heard Mirek come behind her, and glanced back at him, "Well, we can't have them staying in there freezing, we have to arrange some things." She stared at him and he would tell by the look on her face, she was overwhelmed. She pointed to the house, "Just go back in and get warm." She turned around and kept moving towards the barn. She just needed a minute, without everyone looking at her for answers. She moved inside and pulled the door. She moved over to a bale of hay and sat down. She shivered, it was getting colder by the minute with the snow falling. She was alone, no one watching her, and here she broke.
Annie cried, and hugged herself. She didn't know what to do, her mind raced, worrying about enough food, warm clothing, all sorts of things. She wiped her eyes as she heard Zack come in, "What is it , Zack?" She glanced over at him, but soon her shut the door and they were left again in darkness. She should have lit a lamp, but just needed the quiet and the dark for a moment.
Zack squinted in the darkness. "Holy shit its dark in here." Zack wished he'd brought his flashlight but didn't think the barn would be that dark. Taking out his lighter he gave it a flick. The small flame lit up the area around Zack but it wasn't a large area. "I just wanted to see if everything was ok. You looked a little upset."
Walking around the barn with what little light he had he searched for Annie. "I also wanted to say thanks for taking in Sisa while I was held by those cultists."

As he finished reading from the scriptures, placing his bookmark back inside and returning the book back to its' leather-bound case, Joe looked around the interior of the farmhouse. Wonder where everyone went? he thought, watching for a moment as snow continued to fall outside in the darkening light. Getting up to stretch a bit, he walked over to the window and stood near one of the other newcomers...looking over at the man, who looked to be with his son - at least that was his guess - he quietly said, "In case anyone hasn't said it, welcome," adding, "My name's Joe...Joe MacMillan. And you are?" trying not to sound intrusive as he asked.
Annie had refused to let the newcomers stay in the barn. They'd have to find another place to put them then. Mirek didn't know if the house would be too crowded with all of those people were in it. Also, maybe Dean wouldn't be too happy with them getting to stay in the house while he was forced to sleep in the barn for a couple of days. He looked at Annie with slow nod. "I'll organise a house meeting". He then turned back to the house and ran inside.
He made it inside and slowed down. He spoke aloud again so everyone could here him. "Hey everyone, there's gonna be a meeting at the dining table in a moment. Get your asses over there". Mirek was the first one to sit down at the table and awaited everyone to be ready and sit at the table with him.
Annie felt bad , Mirek didn't deserve for her to act like that to him. And now here was Zack, and he was being sweet and thanking her. God, help her!
She sighed, and stood from the bale of hay. Moving over to the wall, she ran her hand up and found the lamp hanging from a peg. Annie took a moment, and then moved towards Zach , 'Light this." She spoke softly, and then stared at him with moist eyes."I am sorry Zack, I just needed a moment, it's a bit overwhelming at times." She wiped her eyes and looked around, "Go on back, I will be back in a little bit. Tell Mirek the new people will stay in the barn, at least for tonight. I just need to make sure the supplies are hidden. I just can't trust everyone."

A smile came over the tan pregnant women as the man took the cough drops. At least she had done one thing good which barily scraped at the big mistake she made. Dark brown eyes glanced at the man asleep on the couch. Thankfully the shot hadn't killed him. Even when she was in the mind set to shoot all she wanted to do was make him not a threat. Killing another person would turn the young women's guilt with more strength.
"It's the least I could do." She said to the man who had his son wrapped up. Her eyes looking at Mirek who had just announced a meeting. Quickly she turned back to the man. "Well it is nice to know you two are ok. Hope my child ends up likes your son." Sisa meant for it to be a compliment before she walked to the room where Mirek sat. Secretly what she was referring to was her want for her baby to be alive. Despite the smile she had for six months now... the dangers of what could happen at birth was eating at her. Shaking her head causing her long back hair to sway a bit trying to drop the though. "Mirek what is this about?"

"Hey everyone, there's gonna be a meeting at the dining table in a moment. Get your asses over there"
Before the other man could answer Joe's answer, he heard Mirek's voice calling from inside the kitchen. Well, so much for conversation, Joe thought, pausing just long enough to make sure Vince was okay - no sense disturbing him, he thought, adding, where's he going to go with the weather as it is? - before walking into the kitchen.
Sitting down in one of the chairs around the kitchen table, Joe leaned forward, head in his hands, and wondered for a moment what was going on...
Zack lit Annie's lantern. Seeing her tears Zack felt bad for her. "Sounds like they're gonna have a meeting. I'll tell them." Zack turned to leave the barn. He stopped and looked back at Annie. "Whatever happens I got your back. I trust you."
Zack smiled at Annie as he pulled his hood up as he left the barn. Back into the cold winter air he darted across the snow following the same footprints he followed to the barn.
Zack came into the kitchen and held up his hands. "Hey uh... New people you gotta sleep in the barn for tonight until we make some room for you." Zack looked around. "Alright I'm done nothing else to say. Deuces" The archer left the kitchen going back to the room he shared with his raven haired beauty.

As Joe sat in the kitchen and heard Zach's words on where all the newcomers - himself included - were going to say overnight, he looked over towards Mirek and asked, "Has he thought about where Vince is staying overnight? With that bullet wound in his shoulder, he's not in any shape to sleep outside out in the barn...and for what its' worth, I wouldn't recommend moving Vince overnight either; let him rest on the couch tonight."
Pausing for a moment, Joe added, "But I'll leave that decision in your hands, if you want." He hated putting Mirek on the spot, but he also hated raising a fuss over the whole thing. All I know, he thought, is that I have a patient to tend to here...where he goes tonight, I go tonight as well.
Mirek watched everyone else sit down at the dining table. It was time to tell the newcomers where they were going to sleep tonight. It was still undecided as the barn was off limits according to Annie, they may have to squeeze a few people in rooms. "Right, I called for this meeting to discuss where you'll all be sleeping tonight" he said with his hands wrapped into eachother. Then Zack had come in announcing they would all sleep in the barn. Did Annie change her mind? "Well, I suppose you'll be sleeping in the barn after all".
Them Mirek head Joe's voice raise up. He spoke about not moving Vince as he was injured. Mirek looked at the table thinking of what to do. "Listen, I know we want everyone to be safe here, but it's a risk I'm unsure we're willing to take" his eyes apologised for him, he did show a bit of sadness in them. Vince had been shot though, when meeting him, he was clearly scared. Also, he surrendere almost instantly, maybe he wasn't much of a danger. "Okay, Vince stays in the house, but the rest of you will be sleeping in the barn".
As soon as Zack left, she moved around and turned on the small heater. A large burn barrel stood in a corner and she got it lit and soon enough a fire would be going in it.
She made sure the stalls with the under ground cellars were locked. A quick look around as she grabbed some horse blankets from the tack room, and she headed back to the house.
She didn't say alot as she went inside and took off her coat, but moved out to the kitchen. She glanced around at faces, and cleared her throat. Anyone that got a good look at her face could tell she had been crying."alright, Mirek ,I got it," she stood and leaned against the counter, folding her arms," we don't have alot of room inside, so some of you will have to stay in the barn. Sisa is pregnant and the guy who has been shot need to be in here. I've got a heater set up and a burn barrel , so it ahould help with the cold. There are some extra blankets in there and i got some extra clothes in here. This place has two bedrooms , so until we clear attic space this is just how it has to be. I'm sorry." She glanced at Mirek." Where's Dean?"

For a few moments Joe actually considered challenging Mirek's decision but eventually he started to understand where the other man was coming from. Given how many people arrived here today - myself included, he thought, I don't blame them for wanting to watch us overnight.
Looking over towards Mirek - and taking note of Annie, who'd walked inside the kitchen as everyone sat there - he said, "Fair enough. I hate leaving any patient alone overnight, but I won't argue the point with you....your place, your rules," glancing over at Annie as he spoke.
Everything was settled then, the newcomers would be sleeping in the barn, how long? It was really undecided. Maybe for a couple of days, maybe it was permanent as the room in the house was little, it was Annie's house. Joe had agreed, but mentioned hating having to leave a patient over night. Mirek wasn't sure if this was an attempt to get himself inside the house, but it wouldn't work. "Don't worry, us in the house will take good care of Vince, he'll be perfectly fine" he said with a reassuring smile.
Annie had also arrived listening to Mirek's announcement, she had tried to make the newcomer's stay as good as she could. She put on heaters, go blankets, set up a fire, they should all be okay for tonight. It seemed them staying in there was temporary until they cleared out the attire for room space. Mirek was fine by that. Then Annie asked where Dean was, he hadn't actually known. Dean never came to the meeting, he had only seen him a few times since the newcomers arrived. "I don't know, it never actually crossed my mind" he said with a shrug towards Annie. "Last time I saw him, he was with one of the newcomer guys".
The raven haired women didn't mind that they would be sleeping out in the barn. The young women hoped they at least gave them something to fend against the cold. Her dark eyes landed on the teenage black kid with a blanket around him. In her eyes be seemed to have walked a long while and was cold. A silent sigh came out of her lips before she mumbled before speaking up. "That boy is probably cold.. Maybe he should be inside" Shrugging her shoulders not trying to be a bother. Shortly after she heard a mentioning of a newcomer guy. Sabita figured they must of been talking about Nick. "The man or teenager you speak of is Nickiah. Your friend probably stopped him from making a new lake" Sliding her pointer finger down her cheek to represent a tear. Then the raven haired women went back to sweet silence.

"Fair enough," Joe said, reassured that all would be well overnight; he wasn't going to press the point and figured since he was one of the newcomers anyway, he wouldn't win, no matter what he said. Best to let it go...besides, he mused, Vince'll be alright overnight. Morning comes, I'll check the wound, redress and see where we go from there.
Annie was getting a tad fed up. She folded her arms, and looked at everyone. Other than Joe and Vince, no one ahd even bothered to introduce themselves. She shook her head, "Look, it's for one night, as long as everyone pitches in and does stuff, we can make room in here." She glanced at Mirek, "So, no one knows if he is alright, if he is alive or dead? For all we know that boy, "she glanced at Sabita, 'Nickia...Nickiah, he could be dangerous." She threw her hands in the air, "Ya know, I just ." She shook her head, "You know what, no,by all means, you all feel free to take the house, sleep in my bed, eat the food , my family stocked, and hey, what ever else ya 'll might want, have at it." She shook her head and snatched on her coat. She grabbed her rifle from by the door, and marched out into the snow, slamming the door behind her. She was fed up. All these people showed up and half of them didn't even have manners enough to give their names, least not to her. She moved to the gate, to see what she could see, any sign of Dean. After a few minutes of trying to find a sign, she headed back in and then went to the barn. She needed to just leave it for the night. She ahd been relieved when the doc, Joe had showed up. Since Sisa was starting to concern her a bit. It worried her that so many would find them, practically right on top of one another. She was becoming paranoid as time seemed to go on. She was worried about failing, anout not being able to keep this place going, and keep it safe, and those here safe as well.

Hearing Annie's frustrated voice and watching her storm from the kitchen frustrated - and saddened - Joe a bit. We're tearing ourselves to pieces here, he bitterly thought....for a few moments he rubbed the bridge of his nose before, without warning, he slammed his fist into the table with an anger and fury loud enough that he felt certain even Annie, who'd left the room, could've heard it.
"Dammit! You know, Annie's right," he said, turning to look at everyone inside the kitchen. "All of us here and none of us had the common decency to introduce ourselves, even under the circumstances of earlier..." The way Joe felt right then, he didn't care what the others thought; he was going to speak his mind and come hell or high water, he was going to. "I mean, seriously, folks: who knows if we'll all be alive in the morning, or the next morning, or whenever, but we've got to start working together, right now..or we're going to end up at each other's throats, if not worse. Look at me, for instance: I've got a patient in there with a bullet wound in his shoulder," pointing towards the living room, "and a woman," pausing to look for Sisa, "who in a few months is going to become a mother, so I already have enough on my plate to worry about without wondering whether we're going to go to pieces in hear."
As he spoke, he made sure to look each person in that kitchen right in the eye, so they would know how serious he was. "All we've got, folks, is ourselves - each and everyone of us here, against God knows what out there: bandits, walkers, who knows. Least we can do is introduce ourselves." For several moments, he sat there, arms folded in front of him, leaning on the table. "Since no one else wants to start, I'll start the introductions. My name's Joseph MacMillan." Looking over towards Mirek, he pointed to him and asked, "And you are, sir?"
(We are pushing ahead with the storyline. Any reaction to Joseph and Annie can be made her. Otherwise, please post a next day intro into the new thread. Thanks, Annie)
