Tyler smiled and looked at her. "It's okay, Elias is right. I know I'm nothing to look at. Why most people run away or ignore me. But now that there's no one left they don't have to run. I may be one of the only people left that you'll ever see. So I make the best of it," he wiped the side of his cheek and smiled again. "Have to look on the bright side right?" He appreciated her saying he was fine the way it was, even if it wasn't nessasiarly true. He knew his appearance turned most people away. Only Elias really didn't care, most others always brought it up.
He looked at her as she spoke about her dad. She looked so sad he wanted to hug her, but he knew he shouldn't with the quiet guy standing there. He didn't want the guy to hurt him if he over stepped his bounds, or to scare her off. Loosing people after not seeing them for so long was the last thing he wanted. He needed to be around people. Elias was great but he was to lazy. Maybe with more people around he could go explore and search the town. It would be fun.
"I'll look after the. Elias, don't worry," Tyler said with a smile as his friend walked off. He looked back at the pair. "We have plenty of food to spare, the cruise ship was fully stocked and lots of the food kept well. Some went rotten but we saved the rest. If you guys wanted you could stay there. It's empty, and there's Lots of rooms. Here we only ave cots and the stone walls are cold at night." He shrugged. "We worry about bad people, but I know Elias can handle them. He's tough, he fought a lot before this. He knows how to kill people and the dead. He's kept me safe so far."
Tyler smiled and looked at the ground."we haven't seen to much people to really be concerned. It's quiet most days, no cars, no people. Not even any animals if it's hot out. We caught some fish though, maybe if you stay we can catch more and eat them. Better than canned food and chips." He looked st the man beside her and smiled again. "To drink we mostly have water. The ship takes the one from the sea and makes it able to drink. We also have some bottles of stuff that Elias says I can't drink. But if you and your friend want some I can sneak some away. It's mostly pop and booze."
She spoke about the radio and he smiled. "Your dad will probably hear it. We broadcast on a few channels. Anyone close by would pick it up clearly, out of state would be staticky. I want Elias to hook up some speaker around the city, but he won't let me, say they're to loud." Tyler smiled, an idea coming to him. "If you make a message maybe he can hear you. Know it's you and come here." Moving away he smiled. "Follow me and we can make a message for your father."
Moving into the small onclave of a radio room he sat in the chair. "All I do is push the button and you talk. Then I can add it to the recording so it loops. It's really easy to figure out. Elias and I made the original message." He wiped the drool fro. His face. "If you want your father to hear this is the easiest way. Just let me know when you're ready and I'll push record."
