Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Clancy grew up to be the elder sister of two siblings, two siblings that would split up in terms of their future. While Robert, the younger brother, grew up to live a rebellious life of crime and petty independence, Clancy was much more of a rule-follower and easily kept a clean streak throughout school, making high grades and good friends. That wasn't to say that Clancy wasn't afraid of anything, though, because at a young age, during a powerful supercell, there was so much thunder an lightning that there was fire all over the place, earning her to gain a fear of such things. Eventually, due to her high marks and outstanding potential, Clancy was recruited into the United States Navy, where she took an aptitude test to figure out her placement, barring training. Her results came in and she was placed in the piloting program for their aircraft, she was responsible for cleaning the interior and giving maintenance checks for the jet, a beautiful F/A 18F jet. As a subtest, she took a piloting simulator that measured both defensive and offensive capability, and piloting for an F-18 Hornet, which she was planning to pilot. Her results came back with her lacking more on the piloting side, especially when simulated how she'd pilot during a thunderstorm, but was commended excellently for her pragmatism and judgment on using gunfire, flares, and missiles during the simulation, landing her as the co-pilot and Weapons Systems Officer for the jet, making her responsible for all defensive and offensive actions, while her pilot flew the aircraft.
During her education, she had come to meet with Tamara, a good friend of hers, who had chosen to go into piloting a helicopter, and she a jet. Well, it was fun, wasn't it?
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
During a day where Clancy and her pilot were patrolling the skies, disaster hit. Their radar went dead, as did their radio. It was at night, so it was fairly easy to see sectors of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and other cities in many states systematically go down one by one, a pitch black event. Without radar, they had no reading on their location, and no way to check up on their carrier. Just prior to changing direction to head back to the ship, which thankfully was lit up by emergency flairs in a runway-sort of method, Clancy heard a distinct BOOM sound behind them, several miles back. She turned her head to look, and saw an ominous cloud of smoke and a large fire from several blocks in one of the cities...what was the world coming to?
Things didn't stop there. Upon arrival back on the carrier, there was news that there was a lockdown situation. Someone aboard the ship was causing trouble, and there was no way to enter the carrier. She smelled something..like gas, like the whole thing was going to explode. She quickly turned and ran back to the jet, gesturing for her pilot to start the jet back up so they could get out of there, yelling that it was about to explode! And so they flew out of there, sweat galore, and flew over the dark lands below...
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
Times after the eventual crash of humanity when it met with the scourge of the undead, Clancy had to make do on scavenging up fuel from other planes. Her jet had crashed, and her co-pilot died due to ejection being too late for him, and he died on impact..3 years later, Clancy took up flying a biplane which took considerably less fuel to maintain, which was a plus for her, so she got to stay in the air as the undead roamed the Earth. She still didn't know where they came from or what they were, but she knew she had to stay away from them. She wouldn't stop flying until she found Tamara...only landing the plane to refuel and resupply on food and drinks, hardly ever using her standard-issue handgun, even after these 3 years.
She knew that planes were very high maintenance, especially an old biplane, so she had to take the time during her land-based exploration, preferably at airports or air fields, to get maintenance supplies to help clean and fix the plane parts.[/div]
