Appearance:
Madalyn is a lithe woman in her late twenties. She is French, and her facial features are defined. Her eyes are a bright blue, and her cheekbones are high and prominent. She has a soft nose and full lips. Her hair is red and kept long in wavy tresses. She stands at an average 5'5'', though her body is womanly in its appearance, with full breasts and a round bottom. She is conventionally very attractive, and has no tattoos. Although independent of her brother in her hair and build, she shares her eyes and her sharp features with Parnell.
Occupation (studies and job before the outbreak):
Before the outbreak, Madalyn worked as a veterinarian.
Hometown (city, state, country):
Madalyn was born in Orleans, France. Due to her mother's unfortunate passing, she moved with her family to Poulence, Louisiana when she was ten.
Relationships (relatives, friends,...):
Madalyn grew up in a loving environment, and as such, she was close with all of her family members. Her father was busy running his restaurant, and though she missed him, she grew close to Parnell and stuck by his side like glue as they grew up. She was close to her mother and idolized her, and as such, was wrecked by her sudden passing. Once in Poulence, Madalyn was more social than her brother, though it was mostly superficial. She made a friend out of Randi Appleton during her years in school, and found an unlikely friend in the form of Jude Hastings. On behalf of Randi, she helped patch up the Crowe brothers when their antics would go awry, and met Bryce as a result. She attended their parties, much to Parnell's disdain, and played nice with the boys. Despite Bryce's marital status, the two embarked on a fling that would span the course of a few years, though it was on and off.

Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Madalyn was born in Orleans, France. Her father was a restaurateur and her mother was a baker. Growing up, she lived a very happy life, and was cherished by all of those around her. Her father was very busy running a restaurant, and she grew close to Parnell as a result. The two were inseparable, and both children had a fondness for their mother. Unfortunately for them, she was stricken with cancer and passed away when Madalyn was ten. The family was wrecked by the death, and her father moved them to Poulence, Louisiana for a fresh start. At first, Madalyn was terrified to speak anything but French and often hid behind her brother. But as the years went on and she became more comfortable with English, she blossomed into a confident young woman. She was the more talkative between herself and Parnell, though she still kept to herself and stuck by his side. She was academically advanced and set her sights on becoming a veterinarian. She enlisted in dual enrollment at the local college while still in high school, and as a result, she had half of her undergraduate studies completed by the time she graduated high school. She went off to college to complete the remaining two years, and after that, proceeded to take an additional four to achieve her veterinary goals.
While in school, she served tables at her father's restaurant. It was Michelin-starred and she did very well there, working beside her brother and Jude Hastings. She loved the allure of the New Orleans lifestyle, but there was also something quaint about Poulence that she couldn't deny. She continued to live there and travel back and forth, and once she officially worked as a veterinarian, she chose to work out of an office in Poulence, the same one that she had been interning at during her studies.
Life was busy and bustling for Madalyn, but trouble still seemed to seep through the cracks and find her. Parnell stopped working at their father's restaurant abruptly, and Emilio, her father's investor, started making passes at her. She dodged his advances until it finally became too much, and she quit. While she dedicated herself to interning, and then working, at the veterinary clinic, animals wouldn't be the only things that she fixed. Randi, her friend from school, came to her one night in search of assistance. She had come on account of the injured Crowe brothers, and asked for Madalyn to help patch them up in secret. Madalyn agreed, not wanting to shoo away one of her only friends, and through those encounters met Bryce. While she played nicely with all of the brothers, there was something different about Bryce, and the two of them embarked on an on-again-off-again romance behind his wife's back for years.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
On outbreak day, Madalyn was having a hard time holding it together. The animals were going crazy, barking and crying, and the news on the television wasn't making her feel any better. There were stories of riots and viruses, and the only distraction she had from all of the hysteria was in the form of a woman who rushed into the office in a frenzy. She had been walking her dog nearby when a man came out of the woods and bit her on the leg. She managed to escape, but just barely. Madalyn explained that she wasn't a doctor, though she would call one, but the woman refused to leave. Madalyn had her sit down in the waiting room while she tried to call a doctor, but the lines were clogged. Once the woman started to complain how sick she felt, she tried to call Parnell, the virus on her mind, but the call never went through.
Madalyn moved the woman to a table in the back and let her lay down. It seemed as though she was beginning to pass out, and she had a high fever. Madalyn inspected the wound and was surprised to see how infected it was despite the woman's claim that she had only been bitten briefly before arriving at the office. Her vitals started dropping, and as Madalyn started to call Parnell again, he rushed into the office in a panic and told her that they needed to go. Madalyn tried to explain the situation to Parnell, but he wasn't having any conversation and forced her out of the clinic.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
Madalyn and Parnell waited the first few days out in their home, but when their father didn't return from New Orleans, Parnell insisted that they go and find him. They traveled into the panicking city, only to find that Emilio had killed their father for supplies and safety. Madalyn was beside herself, but Parnell took action and killed him. They gathered the supplies and returned to Poulence. Something was happening, something big, and they decided to get supplies from the veterinary office. When they returned, they found a horrific sight: the woman with the bite from before had turned, and she was feasting upon the animals in the office. Again, Parnell took care of the entire situation, while Madalyn waited outside.
Once they gathered all the supplies and medical paraphernalia that they could, they stumbled upon Jay Leckard at the police station. He had a group set up, and although Madalyn wanted to go and look for Bryce, she knew it was against her better judgment and stayed with them. It would prove fruitful, and as the siblings stayed with Jay and his group for over two years, she was able to get her bearings and adjust well to the new world.
But things would not stay as simple as they thought. Jay's brother tried to join their ranks, and when Jay refused, Owen burned the place to the ground out of scorn. Most died, though Jay survived, unbeknownst to the siblings. They traveled in the opposite direction, until they finally found themselves back to the veterinary clinic and the small home situated above it. Together, Parnell and Madalyn locked the place down, and they have been living there for the last seven months.
Madalyn is currently doing whatever it takes to survive, and her brother is making sure that he's on the top of his game. Family is everything in this new world, and Parnell is all she has. She's happy to have him by her side, maybe the last two people on earth, but lately, she finds her mind wandering back to Bryce. Perhaps three didn't have to be a crowd, though she knows her brother wouldn't agree.
