Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Bryce grew up in the Crowe family home, one of 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is the eldest of the brothers and went to police academy after getting low scores in high school. Once he joined the force, he quickly excelled and made his way to rank of Lieutenant early into his police career. He was in the same class as Jay Leckard and they often times patrolled together or worked the same shift. He was not as clean cut as his superiors thought though. He was always looking out for his family as they were number one in his life. He loved his mother and father dearly and protected his brothers with a ferocity. When they would get into trouble, he would often times fix the paperwork or get them off, erasing charges and keeping the family name in tact. He took bribes and often times used his position of authority to force people out of their homes and off their property for his mother, Francine. The disappointment came from his mother Francine when Bradley was put away and he couldn't stop it. He never seemed to hear the end of how she let him down for Bradley taking the fall for his crimes.
Bryce met his wife Mira while she was at the academy and they started dating immediately. Right after graduation, they were married and she was pregnant a few months after that. Bryce stayed in Poulence, close to his mother who still had full control of the family and their father died soon after. Things changed in the family dynamic and Bryce stepped up to help be the man of the house, even though he forbid Mira from working. He had to take even more bribes and go deeper into corruption to make that happen.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-Bryce was on stakeout when the first call came in about something happening around the country. At first, he thought it was just another attack happening in another city and when it started trickling into the bayou things started to get chaotic. He wanted to stay with his family and bring Mira and Allen there, but she refused. It was a heated fight that lasted days, but finally, he caved to his wife's wishes to find her family in Virginia. He had to concede to her wishes as she threatened to go alone with their son who he knew he would never see again and he couldn't let that happen. The ride to Virginia was tense between them but he had already come up with a master plan to get them back to his family home in Poulence. He also knew his mother may never forgive him for leaving like that, quite possibly his brothers too. But he did what was necessary and the darkness that followed was the undoing of his marriage. It was because of him that Mira killed her own son before taking her life, right in front of him with one of his department issued glocks. The blood was not only splattered on his hands, but completely stained...a stain that would never wash out. But it didn't break him. It only angered him that she would be so selfish. He knew he was right for what he did and she was wrong for her actions.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
Bryce left Virginia moments after his wife killed herself, vowing never to turn around and never to go back. His only mission was getting home. It took him months of getting through hordes, raiders and other people that got in his way. For a period of six months he was with a small group that moved from place to place, eventually settling in Washington D.C. with some latin guy, but that's not where he wanted to be. They stayed put and he kept going. It's been almost three years and now he is finally home. But not quite yet. He's been holding back, watching the property to see who is there. He was scoping out other homes in the area finding some activity here and there, but at the Crowe family home, so far, he's only seen Beau, Buck, Boyd and Randi. His grand entrance would be quite a welcoming. He wanted to know where his mother was.
