Aron felt like an idiot, leaving the group was an idiot's idea. He should have remembered what it was like to be alone. In the group, he was a bit of an outsider, but it was better being on the side with an odd conversation here and there rather than being totally isolated.
Aron found himself stumbling in a small Colorado grocery store. Everything inside was either taken or rotten. He began singing to himself, he had nothing else to do. Shattered he was, he'd been walking for miles in search of somewhere to stay and now that he'd arrived, he didn't like the place one bit.
Aron hadn't secured the place or looked through the entire building for now, if that did happen he'd run but for now he rested. He slept for an hour, right in front of the counter. When he woke up, he knew his plan, he was finding his old group. He knew roughly where they were located, the only thing he was worried about was if they were still there. If not, he'd be alone.. again.
Aron decided to check the back rooms, he had nothing lose. Mostly junk. Right at the back. Aron spotted something. There were two garbage bags. Without hesitation, Aron went over to see if there was any gear he could take. The thing he noticed and stared at for awhile was a framed photo of a smiling Indian family. He must have stared at it for near enough five minutes, something like this was like a chunk of gold back in the past.
After awhile of staring at the photo, he was grabbed down. Aron smashed his head on a nearby wall, hard enough to make his vision to turn blurry. He went to swing the walker but realised that he no longer had his axe, as it had flung across the room after hitting the wall. The nearest thing to him was the family photo. The jewel had to be destroyed in order to defeat the evil. He impaled it deep into the skull of the walker, killing it instantly. Afterwards, he rested and took a breather.
Only minutes later, a scream could be heard from outside. At first, Aron thought it was himself thinking about the family crying in his head but after a second scream was heard, he knew it wasn't that. Instantly, Aron rushed to the person's attention. It appeared to be a large man, obviously weak. He was being chased by a single walker yet screaming for his life like it was a big deal. Aron killed it in seconds.
"I see you got yourself a van. I need to be taken to my people. Understand?" Aron questioned the man. The large man didn't respond. "I said are you going to take me to by people?" Yet again, the man appeared as if he was too afraid to speak. Aron realised that negotiations were going nowhere like this, he looked down and it his axe and nodded. He raised his axe close to the man's face. "Now you gonna take me to my people. And if you ain't gonna budge, I guess you ain't gonna see tomorrow." Ultimately, Aron wasn't going to kill the man, even if he refused. Aron just knew how to intimidate the man and realised it was necessary to proceed. The other man nodded.
Aron began putting his gear in the back of his van. Bang. That was the last thing he remembered.
