Hearing his voice made her jump a little and when she looked to him she nodded. "It's that obvious?" came her reply to his initial question. She composed herself and cleared her throat. Closing the gap between them she waited for him to move. He didn't.
Of course he didn't. Why would he? He literally could take up the entire path to the hatch and he was indeed doing just that. Taking up the entire aisle. Jace dropped the Rosary on a bunk to her left but her eyes were fixed on the exit behind him. His next words made her sigh but it worried her. It sounded as if she was more of a prisoner than anything else. She would simply have to 'find' a way through him but his dramatic 'kill me' is what put her on edge.
Next came what looked to be a ring and he dropped that on a bunk to her left as well. Her eyes darted to it for a second and when she saw it for what it was, her eyes met his for the first time since he blocked her path. "Are you listening to yourself? How dramatic you're being? I'm leaving. I'm not a prisoner here and I'm not 'taking you out' are you fucking kidding me?" She walked right up to him and tried to push her way through him. He wasn't moving. When she tried to cut to his left and then his right, he shifted to continue to block her in.
"You're in the way..." Her voice was small now, but she remained focused on looking behind him to the exit. That changed when he grabbed the barrel of her M4 and raised it to his chest. Her body tensed immediately and she quickly attempted to jerk the weapon out of his hand and away from his chest. "Don't put your hands on me or my things," she hissed through clenched teeth.
The hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end and she was worried like she had been with her encounter at Polk. She wasn't here to play this stupid game of his and she certainly wasn't willing to be a prisoner of his either. What made it worse was this 'kill me' attitude he had and she suddenly felt very foolish about allowing herself to get close to him. But he was acting hostile towards her now. However, she wasn't caught in a near incapacitated state like she had been with Myers. And if things were to seriously escalate, she would do whatever she felt necessary to protect herself, like she had done with Myers.
