Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Randi was born in Houma Louisiana and raised in Poulence nearby. She grew up in the Bayou before heading off to college at the University of Alabama where she studied business finance. It was a normal life as an only child, keeping her nose clean and staying out of trouble. Coming home with her bachelor's degree, Francine Crowe, the head of the Crowe family immediately offered her a job working for her at the mansion working the books for her property management company. Before she left for college, Randi and Buck Crowe were dating, although she saw it as a casual relationship during high school. It was often times too strained with his attitude and trouble making. It was why they broke up before their father died. When she got back from college, she immediately started dating Beau Crowe, which she also saw as a very casual relationship. Beau and Randi have always had an on again, off again relationship which drove the both of them to sometimes say awful things to each other, but just as quickly make up for it with tenderness. Working with Francine Crowe gave her a lot of insight into the Crowe family dynamic, seeing each of the boys with their own personalities but Francine loved each of them in her own way.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
Randi was at home when the outbreak started, at first, not really thinking much about it. She was doing a site survey for Mrs. Crowe when the news started to hit the networks. At first she thought it was another outbreak like some sort of bird flu or ebola that was making bigger news then it really should have. It wasn't effecting business locally and the Crowe's were still managing the business and taking care of default payments with what she called their redneck justice. She lived in her little two bedroom home, which she thought was a ramshackle shed compared to the Crowe mansion and although she heard the news, she didn't think much of it since they were so far out in the sticks. She figured it was a big city problem. She tried to go on as normal, even as she saw people packing up and completely abandoning their homes.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
-A few weeks, maybe a month had passed when the world started getting completely out of control. Although there was lawlessness, she could handle that. What she couldn't handle was people eating other people. Mrs. Crowe had begged her to come and stay with her and the boys at the mansion, which she defied until there was no more room for such. She had no choice but to stay with them. She was given her own room, but between Beau and Buck, things were tense with her. She had sometimes used Buck to make Beau jealous and that not only strained the relationship between the brothers, but between her and the man she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. As time passed, Mrs. Crowe died and it was up to her to take care of the boys. It was Mrs. Crowe's dying words to her. As time passed in the mansion, she had been taking on some personality traits of Francine and now that she was gone, those traits started to ring louder and louder.
