Father Van Aalst is a Caucasian male standing at only 5 feet and 9 inches. He's not overly tall, but not short either... He is, just about average in fact. From his build to his looks. Nothing about the man screams movie star or celebrity status. That's not to say he is a bad looking man, just not an overly sexual man that women fantasize over.

Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Father Van Aalst was a preacher for the "Albuquerque Catholic Church of Christ" Where every Sunday morning he gave his sermons, and every Sunday night served the homeless. Monday through Saturday the church was open to confessions. Wednesday night was the mid-week sermon, and sat night was singles meet and greet. Father Van Aalst lived a busy life.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- The day of the outbreak was a crazy one for many. It was also the first time in a long time that the doors to the church were closed to many. Father Van Aalst had taken in as many as he could hold and had to turn away many others. It was something that still haunts him to this day, the look on many of their faces... He couldn't understand why God would allow something like this to happen. And if he could, why was the good father still believing in him?
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- Most days Father Van Aalst drinks the day away. People don't much come to his church for guidance anymore. And he has all but lost his faith. If you drive by the church at the right times, you can often times hear him yelling and cursing at God as he throws empty bottles about the church. It's not a glorious living, but he has to live with the fact that he couldn't save anyone. And to take ones own life is a huge sin. He is beset by his ironies in life
