Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Before the apocalypse, Serena lived a very plain life. Her life spent with her parents was regal and posh, and she lived in the lap of luxury from the moment she was born. Her father was frequently away on unknown business, but her mother's presence was felt even when she wasn't around. She lived in an affluent neighborhood in Washington D.C., and it was in her own town that she met her husband, Jason. They were introduced at a gala event for one of her mother's newest interior design successes, which was on a property that he had in his possession as one of the biggest realtors in the state. They dated soon after their initial meeting, and together, they formed a power couple through their marriage. She soon joined him as a realtor, and there wasn't a property in the Greater D.C. area that didn't have their fingerprints all over it. They were successful and happy, though for Serena, she was more content than anything else. Her life was great, her marriage was solid. But that's all it was. Her life was dry, despite all of her successes. She found herself bored more often than not. She needed something more, she just didn't know what it was.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
The day of the outbreak, Serena had been prepping a house for a private showing. Her husband had been handling all of the documentation, allowing her to use her eye for detail to make the place pop. The prospective buyers ran a half hour late, and eventually called to let her know that their child had gotten the bug that was going around and that they wouldn't be able to make it. Dejected, Serena started to gather her things to go home, but Jason called her and told her not to leave, and that riots were beginning to break out in the streets. Serena was in disbelief, but sure enough, tides of people soon started swarming the small subdivision. She locked herself in the house, down in the basement. She tried to call Jason, but the towers were jammed. They got through the line once, and he swore that he would come and get her, but never did. She rode the riots out in that basement, the house above getting torn to pieces. Once things settled down, she returned to her own home and stayed there until it was no longer safe to wait for Jason.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
It didn't take long for the community to become unsafe. She survived for as long as she could on her own before she came to the White House, and met Eric Folsom. She was smart and able, and was accepted among their ranks. She currently lives a safe and comfortable existence compared to those outside the walls that aren't as lucky, and makes herself useful by plotting and planning the expansion of his reach. In a way, he saved her life by allowing her to stay within the stronghold, and lives each day to fulfill her duties to him, regardless of what they are.
