Lila tensed up as the dog perked up and a quiet moan wafted through the air. She had her hand at the holster, but relaxed when Aaron and Knuckles did. She still hadn't asked the dog's name, but she wasn't sure she needed to. She wasn't sure how long she was even going to be around this pair. As far as she was concerned, she was going to be gone before sundown after gassing up her truck.
"Love? I...I hadn't even thought of that since I left. I mean, really, who has time to try and find love? The only thing I've been looking for is food, water, gas and safety." She put her hands on her knees and rocked a little at the odd discomfort of this conversation. "Seriously, I haven't even been laid."
She laughed nervously as she said that with another rise of blush coming into her cheeks. Jesus Christ, what was she doing? It probably seemed like she was totally coming on to him. Who admits they don't get laid to a complete stranger? He spoke about the hot water and man was she happy for that change of subject. She figured he would probably mull over what she just told him. She couldn't blame him. She would ask him about his own life when she got out of the shower.
"Hot water? Oh man, I'll take that. I'll take cold water too, just a shower would be nice. It's been a few days and after killing a few dead ones I'm feeling a bit grimey."
She got up immediately and started towards the stairs looking forward to that shower more then anything in the world right now. She didn't even care that she was in an empty house with a complete stranger. The shower was calling to her. It was the little things that kept her going and this was one of those little things they used to just take for granted. She would owe him for this.
