When someone said count your blessings now
'fore they're long gone
I guess I just didn't know how
I was all wrong
They knew better
Still you said forever
And ever
Who knew
Living hell was the only way to explain what she had been through. From the minute she found her way out of the stronghold. Away from the devil himself She was running. She was so afraid and tormented. Still in pain from healing wounds Black and blue from bruises and mental scars from being raped repeatedly by him. She found herself away from the place and back where she had been captured. A few walkers there she killed with a crowbar she found on the ground.
The last walker bringing up the rear of the crowd was the one thing she wasn’t prepared for. Tears in her eyes she saw Chris before her as one of the dead. Shaking she took the crowbar and swung it at his head. The body hit the ground and she stabbed the crowbar into his forehead. Crumbling to the ground she started to cry sitting beside his lifeless body. “I’m so sorry baby. I..I love you” She said to him as she searched his pockets. Finding the keys to her car she found her feet and walked away.
If someone said three years from now
You'd be long gone
I'd stand up and punch them out
Cause they're all wrong and
That last kiss
I'll cherish
Until we meet again
Finding her car still parked up the road she unlocked the door and climbed into the driver’s seat. The engine came to life and she drove the car away from it all. She needed to distance herself from everything that had happened to her. With a full tank of gas she drove day and night only stopping to ciphen gas from cars and find supplies. She had come across and map and used it when the roads would get to bad one way. After driving approximately 1,600 miles she found herself inside of Louisiana. When the engine light came on her dash the hood started smoking. She pulled into was looked like a old service station. Seemed to be not far from houses which meant a town was close.
Shutting off the car she looked in the rear view mirror to see Marcs face in it. He had that evil grin on his lips Jess quickly got out of the car and pulled a knife. Looking around she realized she was alone she moved to the building to try and find anything of use to travel with. Finding the office she found old rags with dried blood on them. Her eyes scanned the room the see Chris standing in the corner. “Jess how could you leave me? This is your fault. All of what you got.”
He said to her which made tears form in her eyes. “I didn’t want to leave. I didn’t know what else to do. I didn’t think..” She stuttered to the ghost. “That’s right you didn’t think and now im dead.” He said in a cold voice and before her eyes his face turned to that of his walker self. Lunging at her she jumped back into the wall of the office. When her back hit the wall she looked up to see herself alone. She slid down the wall and started to cry.
Her eyes became so heavy she fell asleep crying.
