He didn't react. Didn't react at all. He just laid there, then left. Arden didn't know what to do. He was looking for a fight and didn't get one. People spoke, shouted st him, but he didn't hear anything. His mind was focussed on Charles as the biker picked up some moonshine and walked away. He didn't know what to do. Anger was still boiling in him. As he looked around he saw all the faces.
Arden simply turned around. He started walking down the drive. Boots kicking up mud. He tore off the sling and kept walking. He didn't know where he was going, just not here, was ting taking anything with him, threw the knife to the ground. He kept walking.
All these people here. This wasn't home. This wasn't his home. Not any more
When the fighting seemed to cease Jace watched Charles disappear into the woods and Arden went down the driveway into the darkness. Everything seemed to be calming down again except for the gunshot in the area. That wasn’t good and Jace knew that he didn’t want everyone all hyped up again. He looked towards susan and the group and pulled out his buck knife. “I’ll go check it out.” He said to Susan and Damon and head towards the sound. Wandering through the woods he was careful not to make too much noise as to not attract any of the walkers. Not like the gunshot wouldn’t have done that already.
He wandered for a short while before coming across a woman entangled in a walker corpse. She was dressed in dirty ACU’s and seemed to possibly be military trained or something of the sort. Jace lowered his knife and stopped moving not wanting to threaten her. “Are you okay Ma’am?” He said calmly not trying to impose a threat on her. “We heard the gunshot and I wanted to come see what was going on before anyone else. Some of my friends down there aren’t so pleasant at first. They shoot first ask questions later. We've had enough fights for tonight I think.” He said with a smile just trying to lighten up the mood. This girl looked like she could use some rest and peace just like the rest of them.
“I Mean you no harm and you could return to the house with me. I’m sure you could use rest and not having to look over your shoulder ever five seconds. I won’t force you to come with me if you don’t wish to.”Jace said kindly then turned and started to walk back towards the house. A few foot away he stopped and waited to see if she would accept his offer. He didn’t see a threat from this woman or maybe the situation would be different. He wouldn’t have offered for her to return with him. He wait in silence to see want would happen.

Amarie saw something snap in Arden's eyes and it scared her. This was not the same guy yesterday or two weeks ago or even this morning. Her heart was racing as she tried to stop him. It had been a long day and he was clearly not done killing bikers. She looked back at Ernie with desperation in her eyes and when she looked back at Arden, he was already walking away. She watched as he tore the sling off and threw the knife down and she felt her heart nearly break.
"Arden! Where are you going? It's too dangerous..." He kept walking and no one else was going with him. Following him could get her head bit off by him. But someone had to watch his back and right now it seemed like no one else was willing to do it, even if he just attacked the biker that beat him at first meeting. She groaned and started to follow him, staying several paces back although knowing him, he would probably hear her coming behind him. She followed him past the driveway and towards the treeline. She was scared not just for him, but for herself too.
Time ticked away. Her breathing was steady and her eyes focused down the ACOG. Her heartbeat slowed and her lips slightly parted. There was no response at first. Whoever they were they were too busy wrapped up in their own internal drama from the looks of it. If that was the case, then fine. She could back peddle and go around. No harm, no foul.
That was before she saw one of the men who had been fighting leave, followed by the other. The two combatants headed in different directions. Several options played out in her head. Either they don't care about the shot, they didn't hear it, these guys were walking it off or they did hear it and they are now fanning out. She scanned from the house, to the fire pit, to the directions the two men went and slowly began to crawl back. That was when she saw someone approaching her. They were looking for the shot.
That was when she was convinced they were going to try and surround. Keeping both eyes open but her right eye focused down the scope she took aim at the man approaching. Turn around. Don't take another step.
She held her breath when she knew she was found out. He spoke, softly. But he had a weapon. An edged weapon.
Nicole, this is it. Violence of action. Establish it now!
It was a shitty idea and she knew it since she was outnumbered. But his words seemed to be disarming. For the most part. It didn't help that he said, 'They shoot first and ask questions later.'
Her mind was screaming. Fucking do something!
Nicole scrambled to a kneeling position, the dead body still slightly tangled on her but that wasn't a threat anymore. "Hands! I wanna see hands up and away from your body! Drop the knife and how many are you?"
She leaned into her carbine to show an aggressive stance and kept her aim steady on the man before her. There was authority in her voice, in her commands. But she was tired, outnumbered and running out of options that seemed truly appealing. He offered shelter, a place to rest, and some semblance of security but then again, you don't lure a bee with vinegar.
Jace was anxious about this just knowing this woman could shoot him and it would be over.
Our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On earth as it is heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into Temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever.
Amen.
He muttered the Lord’s Prayer before he slowly turned around and raised his hands above his head. Dropping his knife as he did so listening to the woman bark orders and ask about his friends he looked at her and let a friendly smile cover his lips. “You’ve been watching us so you know your outnumbered. I assume since you asking me these questions your trying to work out if you could take my group down. I know its hard to trust people these days but I truly mean you no harm.” He said calmly with his hands above his head.
He worried because the longer he was gone the more likely the rest of the group would start to find this to be bad and end up coming after the girl. He didn’t want any more violence after the day’s events. He wanted peace and quiet and just for them to rest for once. “You can take me down there as your prisoner but they will see it as a threat. We have lost enough people tonight and I will not be the cause of any more violence. Or you could walk to with me peacefully and I assure you I wont let anyone harm you.” He said as he slowly got down kneeling on his knees. He looked at the woman in front of him and just breathed calmly. He wouldn’t harm this woman because he was raised better. Maybe foolish on his behalf but he would rather work things out peacefully if he could.
Nicole watched as he complied after a brief pause. As soon as the knife was out of his hands, she stood up into a low crouch and began walking forward with her weapon trained on the man. It took her a moment to close that distance, especially having to shake off the body that had been tangled up with her, but she moved with tact and professionalism. Hopefully he could recognize that if nothing more.
Once she was approximately five meters away, she stopped. Her weapon was fixed on the man's center mass and she allowed herself a brief moment to scan to her left and her right with her head making sure no one was approaching from her flanks.
He had a point. It would be an aggressive act if she took him to the camp at gun point. However, simply letting him go wasn't an option either. What if she let him go back to the camp and she made a break for it, who was to say they wouldn't follow her? At the same time, stalling too long could mean she could be hit from the sides or more of his party could come looking for him. Conversely, walking into a den of lions wasn't appealing either. Those options played out in her head quickly and she came to this realization.
She was fucked six ways to Sunday. If she went with him to the group she'd lose the initiative. They had been fighting earlier and he said they lost people. How?
Her lips were pressed tightly together. With a heavy sigh, she lowered her weapon slowly and began to stand upright at the same time.
"Yoshida. Nicole Yoshida. I'm alone," she whispered. Her heart was racing now. She had given up on the fact that this was a fight she would win. Even offering up the fact she was alone left her in a vulnerable position. But she was tired. If she was brought to the camp and things went south, she resigned herself to at least take some with her. She didn't believe in a higher power. Not after what she had seen. But tonight was a special night. She prayed. And hoped that what he said was the truth.
Jace watched the woman as she moved closer with the weapon still aimed at him. He stayed calm and just watched her every moved as she seemed to be working things out in her brain. When she lowered her weapon and stood Jace made his way to his feet at well. Looking up towards the sky he nodded for not being let down by god. When the girl said her name he looked at her and smiled. “I’m Jace Williams. Call me Jace if you’d like.” He said in a friendly tone to her and turned to head back to the house.
“No worries I will make sure nothing bad happens to you ma’am.” He said leading the way back down the house. He stopped about 20 foot from the fire looking at the remaining group. Everyone else had wandered off and went to sleep or just disappeared for the night. “So Guys this is Nicole Yoshida.” He said pointing over his should at the new girl. He stood between her and the group not knowing what their next actions would be and he wasn’t gonna have anyone try and harm her tonight. He was done with all the fighting and death for the night.
“She’s alone and not a threat to the group so I would prefer that everything stay peaceful tonight.” He said firmly as he moved to sit by the fire that was dying down. He gestured for her to come and sit with them. His eyes on tobias and ernie to see what would happen next. He didn’t really trust either of them and Baron wasn’t a threat to anyone.
She nodded her head once. Following him silently, she did keep her weapon at a low ready position. Just in case. Once they neared the fire, he stopped and so did she, keeping a few feet between herself and Jace.
After he introduced her, she nodded once again but opted to remain silent. Her eyes darted from one person to the next around the fire and began doing a threat assessment. She wanted to seem passive, but no doubt the look on her face was tense and strained. Really, she wanted to sleep but now with as many unknowns around her as there were, sleeping could be an inherently bad idea. Sooner or later though she would have to and it was leaning more towards the sooner.
Once Jace sat down, explaining she was no threat, part of her couldn't help but think how wrong he was. Then again, she had no idea about them either. Maybe some in this group were dangerous. Maybe not 'trained' but that doesn't mean someone can't be a threat.
She followed him loosely. Once he sat down, she decided to sit near him but slightly off to his right with a few feet of space in between. Nicole wanted to keep him at a distance in case he went for a lunge on her. With her legs crossed and tucked under her, she rested her M4 across her lap but left her right hand on the grip of the weapon while her left hand rested near the fore grip.
She took one deep breath before she gazed into the fire. Please be chill...
It was only then she allowed herself to let out a small, "Hi." Falling silent after that she focused on keeping her breathing at a steady pace.

Baron looks over at Ernie who offers him a jar of shine. "Hell ya that's what im talkin about." He then sits down and watches as others spread out. Charles and Arden flee the scene as well as others. Baron sort of just surveys the area. These people looks beat. As if they just went through some hard times. Baron could row in the same boat. He was exiled from his group for being a douche bag. He refused to change his character just to work with others. It was his life and he was too stubborn to change it so a long while went by on the road alone. Camping out in Dollar General stores and traveling to crowded cities full of threats. Being able to sit down at a fire with some hot women and moonshine was an ideal heaven for him at this point.
Just then Jace walks up with a woman, explaining that she's new and alone. He explains how he wants things to be peaceful. And Baron, is the first one to set his jar down and step up. Walking to where she had sat down he held out his hand. "Hi Ashley my name's Baron. But you can call me big daddy. What do you say I set up my tent and we party hard tonight?" He says, adding in a wink.

Her mind seriously had difficulty processing this man in front of her. That didn't change the fact that she felt annoyed by this and more than slightly uneasy. He seemed slightly intoxicated, piggish and not unclear whatsoever about his request.
Nicole looked to Jace for a moment and then back to this 'Baron.' He either ignored the fact that her name was stated as Nicole by Jace, or that he didn't give a shit. He just wanted to use her and that couldn't be farther from her mind right now than it already was. She wasn't looking for love, she wasn't looking for a fuck. She wanted to sleep.
She didn't want to be overtly aggressive but some form of it was going to be used. She couldn't deny that. Coughing once to clear her throat, Nicole looked up at Baron and braced herself. One could only hope he dealt with rejection well.
"O-Oh. Hey there, uh... Little Dick. Nice to meet you. I can call you Dog Meat? Sounds great. So, you want some penetration, huh? I bet you do. So, have you have ever been penetrated before?" Nicole made sure to annunciate the word penetrated carefully.
Her left hand carefully reached into the MOLLE vest she wore and removed a M4 magazine from the pouch. Her right hand stayed on the grip of the carbine, tightening slightly. Using her left thumb, she popped out a single 5.56 round and it landed in her lap. Replacing the magazine in the MOLLE vest, she picked up the individual round and threw it to Baron.
"Try using that one for starters. To penetrate yourself. If you like it, well..." Having trailed off, she looked down at her carbine, her right index finger tapping the weapon just about the trigger well. "This thing could give you that penetration you are looking for. Up to thirty-six hundred meters away. Pretty far right? Well, you might be a few meters from me, so you will get it hot and hard, like I know you would like it. Right? You could get it right now."
Nicole's eyes were focused on Baron's, but she made sure to use her peripherals so that if someone else was trying something she could be ready for it. Or as ready as she could be.
"There could be a whole lot of penetration right now. But why don't we sleep on it. Talk again in the morning."
The beating of her heart sped up. This could be a bad idea, considering she just threatened one of their people, but she wanted to make it abundantly clear that she wasn't going to take this bullshit simply because she sat near their fire.
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
