As Matt watched Jack, he remembered Jack telling earlier he liked runs better then being in a tower. “You know, I have to agree with you, I’m a pretty calm person, but being in a tower just isn’t like me either.” Matt spoke. “Besides hanging with you guys while working is awesome.” He added with a smile.
Matt chuckled as Jack grabbed a candy from the jar and described the taste. “I need to taste for myself.” He said grabbing a candy, unwrapping it and nearly throwing it into his mouth. “Yup agreed on the taste.” He spoke with a smile.
Matt nodded as Jack spoke the picture. “Agreed very weird, might be photoshop.” He joked. He looked down to the drawer as Jack said he found something. Matt his eyes got big as he opened the box. “Indeed, this is first aid for addicts.” He said a bit startled by what he saw. He nodded as Jack said it was heroine.
Matt didn’t react when Jack asked what to do with the box, he was still processing. He blinked a few times to get his focus back as Matt spoke about a flask and gun. “Well both of those are good.” He said with a little smile referring to the gun and flask as he watched Jack add it to the bag.
Then they both looked back at the box with drugs. “Just leave them, drugs is always bad news.” He spoke calmly. “Addicts need to stop using it and I wouldn’t want non addicts to get addicted, so it’s a lose, lose.” He added crossing his arms.

Yameki left and Sam watched. The glass of the vending machine wa smashed, making it so they were able to grab whatever was inside. It wasn't smashed enough to reach all the way, just enough to grab what was in front. As Yameki came back and smashed the glass Sam helped reach inside, pulling out a few snacks sized bags of chips.
"The cupboards," Sam asked calmly as yameki pointed and suggested another place to check. "Yeah we can check there. Doubt there's much." He walked over. Pulling open the first cupboard door he saw a coffee pot, some sugar packs beside it. Taking it carefully he set it down on the counter. The next one held various mugs, and dusty and dirty.
Keeping moving down the line there was six left. The left held plastic spoons and forks, large packages. Sam added those to the counter and opened the door beside it. It was empty for the most part, odds and ends they didn't need. Leaving the last two for Yameki he stepped back. "Think we got everything we could here. Let's hope the others found more junk."
Hearing the sound of a walker Sam spun. It was coming from the main store area, loud, coming this way, "shit," Sam said quietly, getting low. "Let's be quiet."

"Cupboards," Yameki repeated, saying it a few times under his breath. It was a word that he had never heard before, and the connecting consonants were similar enough to where it gave him difficulty. He made a mental note to look it up in his dictionary later and watched as Sam scavenged around in the cupboards. There wasn't much of note, and there wasn't too much in the remaining two, either. A bottle of soap rested on its side, open, in a pool of its own spilled fluids. Yameki reached in and pulled it out, eyeing the little bit that remained in the bottom of the bottle. He showed it to Sam and smiled, but before he had a chance to say anything about keeping it, the low growl from the lobby made him freeze. His smile dropped, and fear washed over him as it sounded like it was getting closer.
Sam instructed him to be quiet, and he happily obliged. He crouched down beside Sam, his eyes trained on the doorway. Luck had been on their side. Yameki was relieved that he had gone back to the main area for his pipe, and he held it in his hands with a steady grip. He anxiously awaited the approach of the walker, and was ready to bash its head in if it attacked them.
He had a feeling that he and Sam could take care of themselves. He was still tired, still a little weak, but Sam probably wouldn't be out on runs if he couldn't take care of himself. Matt was kind, but that didn't mean he couldn't fight well, and Jack seemed more than capable of defending himself. Yameki just hoped they heard its approach as well. But with the way that its snarls echoed down the hall, he didn't know how they couldn't.
Jack looked at the drugs again. "You're probably right," he said calmly, "best to leave it. We don't need it. But maybe we should destroy it, so no one can." He didn't know how, they didn't have anything to start a fire with. "Naw, you're right. Just leave it." He moved back grabbed the small lighter and tossed the case back in the drawer. "Hey, at least there was a gun." Giving the lighter a shake he hesrd it was nearly empty but still added it to his bag.
He smiled and stepped back away toward the door. "Think we got everything here. If we head back now we can make it back just after lunch." He smiled. "Wonder what would happen if you shot the biters up with the drugs? Think they'd like even react to it? Or would they just like die from it." He looked back at the drawer. "Probably wouldn't even affect them."
Hearing a snarl he stopped just before going out the door. Taking a quick peek out he saw three walkers stumbling into the store. A few more were behind them, not much maybe ten in total. They had been drawn here by a sound, but besides that, didn't hear them. He turned his head the other way towards the door where Yameki and Sam were. A door was further down the hall, toward it.
"Shit, there's only two in here, seven outside. We can take them if we play it smart." He grabbed his knife from his belt. "Let's put the wrist gauntlet to good use." Jack moved out the door. Coming up he stabbed the first Walker in the head, leaving the other two for Matt. He didn't know if Yameki or Sam were coming, but they would wait till they peeked out.
Once Jack was sure they were taken down he turned his attention to the Seven in the parking lot. "We each take two, be fast, maim for the head. Then we haul ass to the SUV. Toss our shit in the back and go."

Matt was glad Jack agreed about leaving the drugs. “I’m always right.” He joked. He nodded as Jack spoke about destroying it. “We should, but I have no idea how, there is nothing here.” He replied looking around. Then Jack once more told him to just leave it. “Alright.” He said as he watched Jack put the case back in the drawer. Matt nodded again as Jack said they at least found a gun. “Yep.” He spoke with a smile.
Matt followed as Jack stepped towards the door. “Yup agreed stripped the place clean.” He said with a smile. “And lunch sounds good indeed.” He added. Then Matt raised an eyebrow as Jack spoke about giving the walkers a shot of drugs. “Let it go already Doctor Cortex.” He said with a chuckle, before giving him a playful nudge.
Just as they wanted to head out, they both heard something. Jack peeked and told Matt about the walkers. Matt nodded as Jack told him they could take them, if they played it right. He chuckled as Jack told him to put the gauntlet to good use. “On it.” He said as he checked if all straps where still closed, then he followed behind Jack.
Matt planted the knives of his gauntlet through the eyes of the first walker, before turning around and slicing/knocking the head off from the second walker. Then he rushed behind Jack, making their way over to the outside. “Understood.” Matt replied as Jack explained the plan.
Matt ran to the two on the right. He kicked the first one so it was on the floor, before planting his knives to the side of the other one his head. “One down.” He said. Then he kneeled to the first one and pushed his knives through its head. “Next.” He said as he turned around to check on Jack.

Sam hesrd Jack and Matt exit their room. Moving forward he quickly followed suit. The bag rattled behind him as he pulled the knife from his belt out. Watching the two take the the walkers that wandered into the store, Sam looked back, making sure Yameki was ready in armed. When Jack gave the plan he nodded.
Sam rushed forward. Moving toward the first Sinner he put his hand on it's forehead and drove his knife in deep. He then let it fall and did the same to the other one as it stumbled forward. His two were down, he was safe, for now. Wiping the blade on his pants he made sure the others were safe and had dealt with their dead.
Seeing they had he relaxed, leaning down to catch his breath. He looked up calmly at them and offered a smile. "Alright, let's get going to the SUV." As they made their way to the SUV Sam tossed his gear in the back and climbed around to the passenger rear door. He climbed in. Jack or Matt could drive, the other of the pair taking shotgun, Yameki beside him.

Yameki kept his pipe in ready hands and followed Sam out of the room. They moved through the gas station, decayed bodies now laying where they had been sitting. He nudged one off of his guitar case with his foot, and crouched down to grab it by the handle. He vacated the gas station and saw the others dealing with their targets. Yameki dropped the case in the snow as one approached him and met him half way, using the last of his strength to swing the pipe like a baseball bat. As if trying to hit a home run ball, he knocked the walker's head with such force that its neck snapped and the skull burst upon impact. As it crumbled to the floor, he looked back to Jack, but saw that he was already taking care of the others. He grabbed his case and followed after Sam, the brief burst of adrenaline already beginning to wear off. He watched Sam pack everything away, and helped out where he could. His pipe and guitar case got situated in the back, and he climbed into the backseat with Sam.
It had been a long time since he had been in a car, over a year. It wouldn't have helped had he had access to one anyway; he didn't know how to drive. It simply wasn't a necessity in Japan, and he hadn't learned before coming to America. He leaned back against the seat and let out a low, small sigh. He had been terribly exhausted before they met him, and now, in the comfort and safety of a vehicle, it was all catching up to him.
He found a blanket and wrapped it around himself, fighting to stay warm and stay awake. His body ached, beaten by the weather, and his eyes stung and throbbed. Try as he might to stay awake and alert, neither of those things happened. Once they started driving, he curled up into himself and nestled in the warmth of the blanket, and his vision blurred. It was just his head at first, bobbing and waking him up on occasion, but once they hit the open road, he was out. For the first time in a long time, he crashed into a deep, much needed sleep. And as the road rocked him about and he eventually came to rest against Sam, he would sleep until they arrived at his new home. Or at least that's what he hoped it would be.
