The engine of the camaro thrummed and as she hit the gas, the exhaust growled from the tailpipe. The car behind her was fast, but not as fast as she was. Raiders. They had been following her and when they caught up to her, they were expecting everything on her. She gave them the slip though and as she drove through the windy roads, she knew better then to take the off road driveways that were only dead ends into farms at the base of the mountains. The windows were a bit dirty, but she could still see outside. She heard a couple of shots fired, but she was able dodge the bullets. There was a problem up ahead though.
A wall of walkers.
She could either stop and let the raiders take care of the walkers but that meant she was going to be left for dead. She knew a way around this. Her foot hit the gas pedal even more, barreling right towards the horde until the last minute. She yanked on the emergency brake, causing the car the spin out on the already damp roads until her tail lights lit up the walkers behind her and her headlights were pointed right at the raiders. She grit her teeth and hit the gas, spinning out on the pollen, leaves and debris on the road and dared to play a game of chicken with these raiders. Either they were all going to die or one of them would take evasive actions.
Closer and closer they got to one another until it was too late to turn back. Her sports car was about to become a pile of twisted metal but the raiders made the first move. The car ran off the road and into the ditch to the trees leaving behind a scorched welt in the grass. She heard the CLUNK and assumed they hit the tree line. When she looked in the rear view mirror, she saw the horde swerving to the right, headed right for the scene of the accident. This left her free and clear.
Several miles passed as she was looking for a feed store and farm. She knew there were cows and milk to be had as she used to hear them. She would raid stores and make trade with any farmers that were left - clothes and linens and in return get some fresh fruit or veggies. However, as she approached the farm that had already been raided by a group, she saw a girl walking and shivering. She was alone, save for two cows with her, and didn't look to have anything on her. Slowly, she pulled up and rolled down a tinted window.
"Hey! You shouldn't be out here alone. You need a ride somewhere? I'm headed to a milk farm."
