Life before the Apocalypse:
Remy grew up in New Orleans and studied medicine at Tulane University. After graduating, she went to go work for the Louisiana Department of Health in epidemiology. She was jaded however as she continued on, watching as people ignored health warnings and continued to take things for granted. She was and still is single, no children and had two dogs in her little home outside New Orleans. In her spare time she enjoyed going to the gym, spending time with friends having a drink here and there and actually did swamp survival school in the Bayou, more for fun rather than necessity.
Life after the Apocalypse: She found herself with a small group of friends when the first walkers started to turn and infest, killing and turning others. She knew what to do and fleeing the city was her only option after bugging in became impossible as more and more walkers took to the streets to find living flesh. One by one, her friends could not survive, either being attacked and overwhelmed by walkers or being attacked by the living who wanted what little supplies they had. She found herself in great demand as a practitioner of medicine, raiding pharmacies and stocking up where and when she could, eventually making her way to the outskirts of town. This is where her story starts…
