Days after leaving the hotel, Tanya had found herself at her old house reading a battered letter written in Russian. There was only one person that knew she could read it. Her father! It read (in English for the translation)
"My daughter.
I came back and you aren't here. I pray that you survive this hell defined nightmare. I was stuck in a base a state over. When the military finally left, we were able to leave. If you are reading this, then I will let you know where I've went to. I'm heading to California. I heard that there is a town up north by a shipment port that the rest of the military are holding up to protect civilians. I hope to see you there.
Love, your Father"
After gathering the rest of the ammunition from the weapon vault down stairs. It was only enough to fill up the clips that were empty which was most of them. Hopping back onto her bike, she went fast and loud roaring the high pitch engine of her Bandit. Every time she had stopped to refuel her bike, she would look over the maps. Once topped off, Tanya roared the engine again all the way to California. With barely any rest, it was starting to affect her. "I need to rest...but this state is crawling with nothing but the dead...where the hell am I going to sleep at?" Finely, she found an abandoned warehouse. Riding in, she saw that the place had been ransacked of supplies, tools, clothing and even materials. She left the sliding metal door up for the time being. Getting off the bike, she pulled her AK from off her shoulder strap and held it ready. Walking around, she made sure it was clear. Only a small handful of the undead were stumbling around. Instead of using the ammo she had, she had dispatched them with her Para Knife. Then the sounds of something approaching the front was heard. People? She thought to herself.
