Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Jordan, from the moment of her birth, was a proud daughter of a police lieutenant that was not only a leader in the precinct, but he led his own SWAT squad but made its principles different by adding other subjects, such as bomb disposal and fundamental training in other categories. Through the years, Jordan grew to hate the attention being an accomplished man's daughter brought her, even in school, since that would lead to high expectations to be held above her head wherever she went. Things went sour one night, however, when the constant attention and praise got to her mother, because the press would not leave her alone every day, she couldn't go to work without someone getting into her business about it all. So she left, the stress taking its toll and she ended up abandoning her family. Furious, her father, Gregory, came home late from a go-out with friends from the force, a bit drunk. That night, Jordan, 12 years old, and her elder sister Brianna, 16 years old, were gloating about how it was her birthday and how she was showering in the praise being Gregory's daughter brought her. The night was February 15, and that is where tragedy happened. Just prior to Gregory returning home, Brianna the troublemaker decided it was a good idea to show Jordan one of her father's pistols to help "make her a woman", and even gave it to her after loading it up with bullets in a magazine.
That was the mistake of her life, for the next instant after basically preparing her own death by making the gun hot to fire, she turned her head as she heard her father's arrival into the house. When she turned her head back around towards Jordan, she would be greeted by a hard shot to the head at such a painful angle that it left her with mere precious moments to live. Shocked, Gregory entered the room that was where all of his stuff was to be secured, and found one of his young daughters on the floor, bleeding horribly. After berating Jordan for what she did, grave news fell when it was found Brianna McAllister did not survive her trip to the hospital. Angry, distraught, and extremely sad, Gregory sent Jordan to live with her aunt while he practically disappeared off the face of the Earth, so it would be for 7 long years later.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- Jordan was in various states of the United States, at 19 years of age, after she had picked up a penchant for travel. After graduating from high school with very high marks in science, notably chemistry and biology, she used the money she accumulated from her job at her local Wal-Mart Supermarket to take a vacation and to travel to take her mind off her past. She went would eventually reach a Wal-Mart in Georgia but found it to be riddled with "sick people", so she took advantage of the situation to get some food and supplies for her trip to Chicago, Illinois, and left the city with a beautiful pale brown, light single-strap backpack meant for light traveling across her back and the strap abreast. Then, after exploring Chicago, she made her way to and entered Indiana with intention to head to Michigan, namely Grand Rapids or Dearborn, where her grandparents lived, to rest from her travels, but that is where trouble started that day she was in Indiana...
There were cases where cannibalism or hostile residents attacking other people started to grow more rampant, even to the point of home invasion starting to be an actual thing here. This left Jordan paranoid as she would choose to sleep on the top floor of an apartment in a town in Indiana with a baseball bat at her side, ready to be used, and chose to travel during the day in fear of confrontations at night.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- After the apocalypse started, Jordan has been on the constant but paced run about Indiana, wanting to make her way to Michigan to find her grandparents. They had to have sanctuary from the hell she was in, right? Part of her wanted to believe they were okay even at this point, but another part of her gave a gut-wrenching impression that they were NOT okay. She hoped it was the former as she utilized stealth and quick-thinking to bypass the streets of the undead and living alike.
