Tala was loving and hating this all at the same time. She was growing restless, didn't like staying in one place for too long. The power, though rationed, was nice , along with the water. They had scrounged food and some supplies from a lot of the campers. At first, she hadn't realized how big this place was. It had its own little supply store and gas station on the premises, and she had taken Wyatt with her to check out the shop and a few other buildings. One was a bath house and the other had turned out to be a recreation room. After two weeks, they needed to leave the scope of this RV park and search some of the surrounding area for supplies.
The park wasn't so bad. It had food, water, a place to sleep. It wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a lot better than what she had before. Which was nothing. Mary had mostly kept to herself, not trying to be rude or anything. She was still awkward around so many people she barely knew. Mainly only speaking when spoken to. She never left the safety of the park, either. Mary didn't show much desire to leave. She wanted to find her friends, sure. But... But what if they were already dead? Mary thought she was better off here where she had a place to sleep and food to eat. Wanting it to last as long as possible.
The first time the water touched her skin when they got it running felt incredible. Mary couldn't remember the last time she had a bath. Her nether regions looked like a wasteland. Perfect metaphor for the state of the world today, but not so great when it was a part of your body. Mary tended to be a little jumpy. Freaking out at the tiniest of noise thinking it was a walker close by. Those things still haunted her nightmares after two years. Remembering back to when Shinta went mad and killed a bunch of them with a chainsaw. The eyes of that undead woman who fell through the basement window always stuck with her. It was nearly impossible to get the image out of her head. She didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to think about what she'd do if walkers drove her out of this place, too.

It had been two weeks now, Wyatt couldn’t remember the time when they were able to take such a rest. Well of course it wasn’t like they just could kick back and relax, they still checked everywhere for supplies and other stuff. Wyatt was mostly paired with Tala and they checked some things out. But it seemed like they all agreed that two weeks where pretty long to stay in one place.
Yes it was nice the water and the power, it would have been a good base, but they still had people to find. Their friends or even more important for Wyatt his brother, he still believed he was out there somewhere. But he would remember this place to come back to. The group they had now seemed to grow a bit closer, it was only Mary the new girl, she still seemed a bit in the background.
Everyone was clean, since they all got the opportunity to shower. Wyatt just walked in the RV park doing a daily checkup on supplies and to see if things where safe. He passed a car, stopped and sat down on the hood. He looked up to sky and sighed. ‘How could this world turn into this.’ He thought.
Oliver hadn't mean to stay with them, but they just kind of didn't leave. They wouldn't leave the park, used up his water and food, and kept bugging him. For two weeks they had stayed, he expected them to just move on, but they didn't. They looked like they had no plans to leave any time soon. He was slowly getting used to being with people again, trying not to be so bitter.
He still made fun of Emry, and Wyatt when ever he could. They were to easy, ecspecially Emry. The new girl who joined, she was hot, but had a stick up her ass. She was really jumpy though, always freaking out at little noises.
Oliver helped out where he could. He looked for supplies, kept around the people, it was nice not being alone.
He was currently outside their main set of RVs, and Sitting on a lawnchair. He has stones in his hand and cans set up across the way. Every so often he would flick a stone, attempting to hit the can.
Robert had stayed mostly quiet these last few week. While offering advice and his opinion he didn't really converse with anyone. He didn't use many of his supplies, opting to help scavenge for some before he used his own. He did lend out the clothes he had stored away, after all they did need them. The shower felt nice, beat his portable one he had with him, spray was bigger.
Over the two weeks he was surprised these people stayed. While willing to drive them anywhere, they had declined and wanted to stay. At least there was no army or walkers attacking them. They could breath for the time being. He didn't know what they would do next, by now all the RV's and tents were picked clean.
He saw Wyatt on the hood of a car. "So what's the plan for today? You know the RVs have fuel, well some at least. If we syphine some, store it away, we can travel after your friends. That where you all wanted to go right? Or what about the bar, maybe swing back there, the sniper could still be there."
Tala walked out of the RV she had sorta claimed, and stared at Oliver. He was throwing stones at some old cans. She walked past him and nudged his chair about time he took aim." Oops." She chuckled softly and then kept walking, moving over towards Wyatt and the old man.
As she got closer, she heard the last of what Robert was saying about the gas." That sounds like a plan, but we can't all ride in the monster with all the gear, supplies and gas. We need to find another vehicle that still works." She folded her arms across her waist and leaned her hip against the fender of the car Wyatt was sitting on.
Mary looked around the park to see where people were at. Wyatt was on top of the hood of a car talking to Robert. The kind old man she tackled to the ground her first day here. She still felt bad about that. Maybe if she had more of a grasp of time she wouldn't be. But it didn't feel like two weeks have passed. Only felt like a couple of days at most. Mary always did take longer to get over things. Especially when it involved forgiving herself.
She noticed Lara nudge Oliver's chair. Reminded her of something Lily would do. Oliver reminded her of Nex to an extent. Always making wise and hitting on the ladies. A little less crazy than Nex was, and somehow lacked the same charm as he. Maybe Mary was biased on that front. She knew Nex all her life. His good points and bad points. Saw a side of him not many people have seen. A lot of her friendships didn't make sense to an outside observer, but that was just it. They were outsiders. When you knew people better or less than someone else, then you have a different perspective of that person. Some times friendships could happen between the unlikely of people.
Maybe that was why Mary had a hard time engaging in conversation with these people. They reminded her too much of her friends. Friends she didn't know whether they were alive or not and that hurt to think about. She assumed they didn't make it. Walkers attacked the camp and Mary was lucky to survive. What were the chances of everyone else making it? Dallas had the training, but she never saw him anywhere. For all she knew they were dead. Dead and burning in hell because she failed to save them.
Mary walked over to where Oliver was sitting. Not a big fan of the noise he was making. Afraid it'd alert a walker or some bandits to their presence. Even though they didn't run into much of either the last two weeks and they made some noise a little louder than that. It was hard to keep her nerves steady. She had often prayed about that in her alone time. But her nerves were still unsteady. Maybe he was testing her?

As Wyatt was deep inside his own thoughts he was joined by Robert. Wyatt shook his head as Robert asked what the plans were, followed by his idea of what they could try. “Nice idea, sounds good indeed, searching for Marko is a good plan too, would be great finding him.” Wyatt said softly and even a little absent. He once more thought of his brother, he should get priority, yeah of course he cared for all the others, but Nicolas was his own flesh and blood. Once more he was deep inside his own mind, he didn’t even hear Tala joining in.
As he thought of all the misdeed opportunities and all the things they lost he felt anger rushing through his veins. Wyatt then turned around jumped off the hood and smashed his fists in the hood of the car. “But I would fucking love to find someone that actually saw my brother, just any freaking sign he’s alive.” Wyatt said once more smashing the car. He stopped closed his eyes and looked away from the other two. ‘What am I doing, come one Wyatt don’t give up, Nic will be fine.’ He thought.
Robert watched as Tala came to join them. He smiled at her as she listened. "Your right. Maybe we can get this car working? Anyone know anything about cars, I sure as hell dont." He let out a laugh. "If not one of the campers maybe, more space."
He looked at Tala. "For today we can head back to the bar, hopefully your friend is in and aroud there."
He looked at Wyatt. "Where was you brother last? We could always go there."
Oliver lifted her arm and took aim. He had it lined up and as he went to release something hit his arm. It launched from his hand going sideways hitting the dirt. Tala rushed past him and he just shook his head, reading another rock to toss at her. "The fuck was that for," he asked, though smiling. "Look I love that you want to flirt with me, but I have to say no." He chuckled and leane back.
He lowered his arm as she recached wyatt and Robert, deciding not to throw rocks at her.
The tight wound chick walked up to him and he looked up at her. He blinked a few times. "Yeah I'm fine. Though a kiss would be great." He winked at her and let out a loud laugh. "Come on just a quick one. Little lower in region."
Robert asked if anyone knew how to work on cars, and she laughed." Born and raised doing in, five brothers and my father owned a garage for a living. So, yea, I can get one of these running."
Wyatt slammed his fist in the hood," whoa, calm down." She reached out and took hold of his arm," don't get like that." She stared at his face, then released his arm. He'd mentioned his brother before, and she knew he wanted to go and look for him." We are going to look, for all of them." She glanced back at Olivet and saw Mary talking to him." We need to be smart, do a run, then we move out, we need to get everyone on board, gathering water, and gas here, while we go for food and supplies." She moved around and opened the driver's side door. She popped the hood and checked the engine.
The power and water was just fantastic, certainly something that he could get used to. It was nice not smelling like a walking garbage can for a change, the showers were definitely something that he was greatful for, there was no doubt about it. Though, he knew it was unlikely he was going to be staying, as Tala and Wyatt seemed pretty keen on going back to try and find the others. Like a loyal canine, he'd follow them closely, it was due to them that he was still standing at the RV park, had they not took him in, he'd probably been dead from the attackers that the group had originally dealt with.
Although his time at the camp was coming to an end, he'd enjoyed his stay at the camp. Oliver still teased him sometimes, which was rather annoying at times and perculiarly, somewhat amusing at times, which was very odd, seen as most jokes ever aimed at him were usually hated. Robert kept to himself, they spoke rarely but from what he could tell, was a very kind man. Mary, he was still anxious around her, but that was more due to the fact that he was always wary of new people, that was still yet to change.
Emyr wandered over and saw Oliver and Mary, he appeared to be going for a kiss. Emyr laughed, he found it funny how someone else was being teased for once, he just found it so odd, it was always him instead.
Mary's face twisted up as she took a step back from Oliver. Grossed out by the idea. She was starting to see why no one else was around him. The man was disgusting. Mary opened her mouth to say something, but was too shocked by the man's request for any words to come out, so it closed soon after. Looking like she was going to puke before turning around and storming off, folding her arms around her chest as she did so. That's what she get for being nice. Mary walked up to where Tala, Wyatt, and Robert were. Wondering what they've been talking about, but knew better than to pry.

Wyatt tried to calm himself and in the background he heard Robert asking where he last saw his brother. Wyatt thought for a moment and felt how Tala grabbed his arm and spoke. Her words seemed to make him feel better. “Thanks and I’m sorry for that.” He said softly as he looked at her.
He then nodded as Tala said they would look for all of them. “I know, I think I just needed to let everything vent.” He replied. Then she said everyone should be given task, while they would check for food and supplies. “Yeah sounds like a plan.” He replied as he watched her open the car door and stepped out of the way as she opened the hood.
He then turned to Robert. “To answer your question, I saw my brother last just hours before the outbreak.” He said with pain in his eyes. It hurt so much to say that, he knew there was only a small chance he would live. “So yeah I have no clue where to go.” He added. Then he looked away and started again. He remembered they had made a phone call too, but it was all so vague. He shook his head and looked back at Robert. “But something just tells me he’s fine, he has to.” He said softly.
Shortly after they were joined by Mary. She asked what the plans for today were. “Hi there, well there will be a meeting in a bit and I will give everyone their tasks.” Wyatt replied with a little smile.
"Bummer man," Robert said to wyatt, "im sure you'll find him though. You'd be surprised what fAte does for you. Worla wonderful things man. You'll find him, probably stumble upon him."
He looked at Tala, "and that sounds good. If you get this car going I'll go with whoever and get supplies. We can swing by that bar, maybe a few other places, and head back here. Then you also need someone here, to keep watch while you work. Everyone else can go with me."
He watched Mary approach. "That work for everyone, or does someone have a better idea."
Tala looked at Mary and smiled as Wyatt told her what they had been talking about." Yea, we are working on getting us moving again." She listened as Robert spoke," yea, I can work on it, might need some fresh oil, we can siphon some gas, spark plugs might need checking. Probably worst thing is that it has sat for so long. " she raised the hood and bent over looking into the engine." Yea, sounds good. I can stay here and work on this , have someone here to watch my back and help hand me tools and hold the light, while some go check places out and scrounge up supplies." She lifted her head and smiled at Wyatt," I will be fine." She knew he was going to protest before she even looked at him. He was getting to be protective, not that it was bad, but she didn't want to come off like she could t handle herself.
Tala glanced at Emyr," he could stay and help me, he was handy with the generator."
Mary smiled back at Wyatt. He was nice. Him and Robert. Come to think of it, most of them have been nice. A lot nicer than Mary would've thought anyone would be given the circumstances. It was a relief to see that after two years of the apocalypse there were still kind and generous people out there. That smile soon faded from her lips when they talked about moving. Concerning entering her voice as she spoke again:
“M-Moving? We're leaving?”
She looked to each of them for an answer. The fear becoming more apparent with each passing second.
“Do we have to? We have a good setup here. Why leave?”

Wyatt nodded as Robert said bummer. “Well that’s an understatement.” He said with a little smile as he looked at Robert. But then Robert spoke again giving Wyatt exactly what he needed, some fresh hope. “Thanks old man.” Wyatt said with a wink an smile, before softly patting his back. Wyatt then heard Robert his plan, he hated splitting up, but it was a good idea, thought he didn’t like the sound of leaving Tala alone. She was the person he was closet too, he felt like they had to stay together.
Just as Wyatt wanted to suggest to stay behind with Tala, she spoke telling him she would be fine. Wyatt smiled a little, it was good that they knew each other so well. “You better be alive and kicking when I come back or I’ll swear to god.” He said with a big smile. He heard how she asked for Emyr to protect her, Wyatt didn’t like the idea, but he was better than Oliver, so he nodded. “Sounds like a plan, I will start giving everyone their tasks.” He said.
Wyatt then heard Mary her questions and saw her panicking. He was a tough guy yes, but he also had a heart. He walked closer to Mary and looked her in the eyes. “Hey, relax it will all be fine, you are in a group now and if you stay with us, you can count on us to protect you.” He said softly. He was getting used to the new people, the connection he had with Tala, wasn’t the same he felt with all the new people, but he always was and always would be a good guy, trying to protect innocents. “But we hope you’ll do the same for us.” Then he smiled at Mary and stepped back.
He turned to Robert. “Can you get Oliver and Mary ready for the trip?” he asked with a smile. After that he got over to Emyr, he softly grabbed his arm and gently pulled him away from the others. “Look, plan is, we got to the bar and some other places to find supplies, Tala is staying here and wants you to watch her back.” He said looking at him talking softly, cause he knew how shy Emyr was. “But please kid, keep her safe, she’s important, can you do that for me?” he asked.
"So there we go. Let's get ready we can leave now," Robert said folding his arms over his chest. "You gonna be safe here," he asked Tala, "don't risk anything. Keep an eye open while you work."
He looked at Wyatt, "I'll get them ready," he said calmly. He looked at Mary. "Come on, follow me. We'll get ready for the run." He walked forward, hoping the girl would follow.
He walked over to Oliver. "Hey, you're coming with us on a run. Let's go," he said. He didn't wait for the kid ton repond, instead walked over to the Ambulance. He pulled open the doors. "Either of you have a weapon? Or ever fire a gun?"
It seemed like the group was splitting for the moment, to get on with their own missions. Tala suggested that he should stay behind with her, calling him handy with the generators. Emyr was shocked, of all the people, she picked him, he couldn't understand why. If he had to pick someone to help out, someone like him would be the last person he picked, he felt useless. At least Tala saw something, that was all that mattered.
Then, he got swept away by Wyatt, who softly pulled him away, separating the two from the others. This gave him a second to think about the many times he had been swept away by people grabbing his arm, he didn't know why, but it had happened a lot since he'd joined the group. At first, he thought he was in trouble and tried not to look him in the eye. Instead, all he wanted was to know he could take care of Tala. "I uh, I uh." He noticed his stuttering coming back. "I will." Emyr found it hard to visualise himself looking after someone, it was more the other way round. One thing he did know was that he was going to give it his best shot.

Luca Sultana: Really sad how this website went from being so active, with dozens and dozens of daily users, to a ghost town. We had so much fun here especially from like 2013-2018. What a fun few years. I probably won’t log in after this. Take care, everyone!
