"A court martial is a fair trial. You're talking murder..." He said to the kid, yes, this outbreak changed everything. And people now-a-days were forced to grow up much sooner than the older world, but age was still age. The mind matured at the same level, nothing changed about that. The fact was, people died all over from the outbreak. "And reading about it, and seeing it first-hand are not the same." He was showing this kid a level of respect, not at all treating him like his was five.
Dexter came up the hill, gun pointed at the group. "No one is going to shoot you kid, now put the gun dow-" He hadn't even gotten the chance to finish the words. Dexter had pulled the trigger and killed Grant. Grant who had done nothing in all of this.
Quick reflexes kicked into motion and Dallas raised his pistol, pulling the trigger twice at Dexter's Core. (Chest to groin area for anyone who doesn't know.) His gripped the pistol so hard his knuckles turned white. "DAMMIT!" He shouted. "What the fuck is wrong with you!?" He took a few heavy breaths before walking over to the kid. No one had said anything about killing him, why had he forced this? He stood there, watching while the kid choked on his own blood. When he had passed, Dallas put one more bullet in his head, keeping him from turning. And then headed down the hill, not saying a word to anyone else.
((WILL EDIT THIS POST IF DEXTER DOESN'T WANT TO DIE HERE.))

Dexter had been let out of his hole. The only person he knew that was with him was Skyy and her two kids and when he came out waving his gun and ranting, she looked towards Dallas and Grant, shaking her head. Anthony was right. No one needed to die. She didn't want the kid dead, she just wanted him gone, more so then she wanted Andrei and the readhead gone. She was heading back towards the SUV to get it ready to go when the shot rang out. When she turned around, she expected to see that he had shot a bullet into the air. Instead, she saw the blood spray from Grant's head and the man fall to the ground.
"NO! Grant!!"
This man had backed her up and vowed to protect her, to make sure she got to New Orleans, come hell or high water. She had a good mind to run up to Dexter and plant the nails in the back of his head. But he had the advantage of the gun. Instead, she ran over to Grant, dropped her bat and fell to her knees as she tried to cradle him in her arms.
"Grant, Grant. Talk to me. Tell me you're alive. Tell me you're still with us. Please, tell me you're still alive." Her voice sounded almost desperate as she spoke to the man she barely knew. He called her out on her shit and she appreciated it. He also supported her through all this and now, he was gone too.

Damon had been mulling on the mans words. A court martial. Was he joking. What courts did they have to do anything. And the man was then to his mind insulting him further. Damon felt this world was worse than war. That was his opinion. The walkers and people like Adolphus.
Dexter then appeared and as Damon reached for his handgun everything unfolded. He watched and looked in anger as Dallas walked. Damon held his tongue but he warned them something like this would happen. He just hoped the group would not make this mistake again.
Damon knew Grant... not very well but still he was there when Grant arrived at Bear Lake. Damon was not sad... but he didn't feel normal as he saw his dead corpse with Remy cradling him. The only feeling was anger. Anger they had not killed the kid like he said. Anger the kid had escaped. He picked the smoke he had spat out in the shock of what had happened and stood near Grants corpse looking down. He had no faith left to make any prayer of sorts so instead said nothing. Just stayed silence in respect of the departed.

Grant hadn't spoken up. There was nothing he could add, Dallas and Anthony both were right. Dexter didn't need to die, he could just be sent away. Grant would spare him some supplies, and ammo. He wouldn't send the kid out with nothing, he would let him have some decency. He was kid, though he deserved to die he wouldn't be the one to pull the trigger.
Then he heard a shot. He felt the bullet enter his head and in seconds he went dark. He fell to his side, no chance of turning with the clean kill. Grant was gone, dead, Dexter had killed him.
Luca had been standing off to the side, his thumbs hooked through his belt loops. He'd been listening to the various conversations, some were grieving for Riker. Anthony, Dallas, and Damon were debating about what to do with Dexter. The traitors were, for some reason, allowed to be together and free. They would not be accompanying them any further. If Luca had his way, the woman would be killed, and Andrei would be sent off alone without supplies. The only reason he wouldn't be killed was for the sake of the good he'd done the group in the past. A fair ruling, Luca thought.
As for the Dexter situation, Luca saw both sides. Killing the kid for being a punk didn't seem right, but Luca wasn't about to let the kid come along. Maybe he'd send him off with Andrei. Seemed fair, too. Luca was pleased with himself for arriving at comparatively peaceful solutions.
But then Dexter emerged, shooting Grant in the head. The Australian fell to the ground, lifeless. He saw a pained Remy run to him, begging him to be okay. But he wasn't. Luca's eyes widened as he grabbed his revolver. "Fuck this!" Luca raised his revolver and fired all six shots at Dexter, his shots firing at the same time as Dallas'. Dexter didn't stand a chance, not with all the bullets that went into him. Dallas put in the final shot as Luca reloaded.
In the silence, Luca shot once more into the air. "Everybody listen and listen good! We bury Grant with Riker, and then we put a bullet in the redhead bitch and in Andrei, and then we go! Me, Remy, Anthony...anyone else who's coming to New Orleans leaves in thirty fucking minutes! No debate!" Luca turned to Andrei, pointing his gun at the man. "You and your bitch girlfriend better start digging. Do a good job, and I'll put one through your head nice and clean. Don't say a fucking word, either."

Dexte as still on edge, his gun raised, and pointed at the group members that stood all around. Before he could shout another order, a shot went through him, knocking him to the ground. He felt another shot, and another, falling back. His finger squeezed his trigger, spraying shot after shot all around blindly. Soon his gun clicked empty, and he fell back.
He was flat on the ground, blood pooling in and around his wounds. He felt liquid in his mouth, an irony taste. His eyes were wide open but void of life. He was dead gone. Soon he would turn, to wreak havoc again on them. Unless something was done about it, Dexter would become a walker.

Dallas was on his way down the hill when Luca shot a round into the air and went on about killing the girl and the fella with the long hair. He should have left it alone. He should have ignored what was being said, gone down the hill, packed his shit, and left. He should have put this whole fucking insane group behind him... But he couldn't. His fists balled up so tight his knuckles turned white. His jaw clinched. Red flashed...
He turned around, marched right up to Luca, and without saying a word, threw his fist as hard into the man's jaw as he could. He was hoping to break it, but would be happy simply knocking him on his ass.
"No one is shooting anyone! We've had enough God-damn bloodshed for one fucking day! What the fuck is wrong with you people!?" If Luca had tried to get up, he would kick him in the jaw again, if not... he'd simply go on speaking. "We've lost two good men now. Men who died a senseless fucking death. And you all are wanting to string up more?" He motioned to the red head and the male Luca had just threatened to kill.
"Well, it's not going to happen. You're not shooting them, you're not shooting anyone else!" He took the gun from Luca. The damn fool clearly didn't need it in this state of mind. "We turn on each other and we are no fucking better than that old man! I don't know the history between you all, and I don't fucking care. But if you all can't see this is wrong then you need to relook at your life, good n' hard."
Had they all fallen so far in the two years of this outbreak? Kids not able to be kids. people killing others just because they were outsiders. Where did the madness end? Damon had said that Dallas and Anthony were relics of the old world, but this new world was dark and without mercy. The dead killed without thought. They had to be better. They had to show people that they could survive, they could look out for each other. That no matter how bad things got, the human race was willing to help on another out. Otherwise, what was the point of living? Why were they still fighting to stay alive if this is what it was going to come too. Shoot first so you survive? No! Dallas was not going to be part of that world.
He walked over to the woman and the male. "Get up, and come with me, now. No one is going to harm you, you have my word." Outside of Lily, Dallas knew no one in this group. Andrei and the red head had never wronged him. He wasn't going to leave them out to dry simply to save his own life. Once they were standing, he would walk them down the hill towards the town. He would make sure they were safe. He had buried Riker himself. And had things not fallen apart like this, he would hae laid Grant to rest. As it was he walked past Luca with the man's revolver in his hand. "Bury Grant yourself." He said coldly to the man. And He escorted the two down the hill. Hopefully, the violence was over...

"Some time ago, I would've said you'd be okay with them, but now...I'm not so sure. They seem to have a few people who know what they're doing, but I can't vouch for anyone besides Anthony. I have no idea who the hell this Dexter is" Andrei took another breath from the cigarette, consuming it until it was almost at his fingers. He threw it on the ground, pressing his foot on it, to put it out whilst exhaling the smoke. "As long as you're coming with me, you should know. My plan is to get a boat and sail to Europe. I've had it with this place. You can go your own way at any time, if you want."
Not long after he finished his last sentence, Andrei saw someone walking up the hill, gun in hand. He could smell trouble brewing. "Get behind me!" he told Holly, whilst getting his bow and arrows ready "If I get shot, you run towards my car. You don't stop, you don't look back, you just run, understood?"
He turned his head in time to see Grant get shot, followed by Dexter soon after. Then the hot-head Luca turned on Andrei and Holly, threatening to kill them and to make it quick if they dig their own graves. Andrei already had an arrow drawn. His reply to Luca was simple. "No.". Before he could loose the arrow and run, the man who did the digging earlier came and punched the former cop, knocking him to the ground. His words were spot on. Things seemed to be getting more and more messed up in Andrei's former group. With Remy being too much of a coward to face her problems, and Luca being too much of a moron to find a solution that didn't involve shooting, it was no surprise. Once Dallas' speech was done, Andrei stopped pulling back on the bowstring and followed him downhill, gesturing towards Holly to come as well.
"Thanks. Name's Andrei, this is Holly. What the hell happened since Bear Lake?"

None of this was supposed to happen. Grant was her friend, or at least indicated that they would be friends when he offered her such support and protection. She admired his focus and his ability to make her see what she couldn't see herself. And now here she was, sitting in a pool of his blood while holding his head. He wasn't coming back, that much was clear. She had sat with him for a good five minutes but there was nothing left. Another pop and Dexter was dead.
A third shot made her look up to see Luca had fired into the air to get everyone's attention, which he did. But now, there was another threat to Andrei and the redhead. She didn't want Andrei to stick around, but she didn't want him dead either. But Dallas took to manhandling the situation as he had the audacity to punch Luca in the jaw.
"Luca! Dallas stop it! No more killing each other! No more attacking each other!"
She left Grant on the ground until they could dig another grave and approached Luca. She moved up between Dallas and Luca so no more punches would be thrown. She had a feeling she would be pushed aside so Luca could get a shot in but she knew what this could escalate to. One of them may not make it out of Oklahoma alive if that were the case.
As Dallas walked away instructing Andrei and Holly to go with him, she stayed with Luca, hoping to hold him back.
"Please, no more. Not Andrei."
Andrei may have led Adolphus to them, but he did take out a few of his minions. She wouldn't say why she wanted Andrei to live. She looked at Luca with eyes ready to burst again. She hated the fact she could be so emotional at times when strength was required. There was desperation in her voice to keep Luca calm and away from Dallas.
"Let's bury Grant and leave. I just want to leave. I just want to go home. Grant promised to get me there no matter what and now he can't even do that. My apartment is near the Quarter. My landlords had two generators on the roof and I lived on the third floor. We can start there. Even if it's just you and me, we start there. Okay?"

Aron stood on his own after the fight with Adolphus, not wanting to get involved with the camp politics. Everyone seemed to be arguing about what to do to the kid, if the kid had heard, he'd probably be even more pissed. As far as Aron was concerned, they had to make a decision and stick with it, instead of just arguing in front of the apparent traitors.
Aron's attention, like everybody else, had moved to Dexter who had his gun raised. He wanted to talk him down, until the kid had shot a bullet through Grant's skull. Dallas and Luca's reflexes helped take down the kid, he'd stood no chance. It had all happened so fast, he had no chance to take in what had just happened to Grant.
Then Luca fired his gun into the air to get the attention of the whole group, threatening the two "traitors", Aron shook his head. "Luca, that's not the solution." Though, his voice needn't matter because Dallas had stopped Luca for the time being. He didn't hate Luca but he needed the punch. Aron listened to what Dallas said and agreed completely. He watched as the man walked away Andrei and the red-headed one. He picked up the shovel and started digging, he'd do it himself.
Luca's eyes widened in fury as Andrei said only one word: no. The man had an arrow on Luca, but Luca's .44 was bound to do more damage. Before Luca could get any more words out, the crunch of bone on bone--someone had decked him in the jaw. Luca was on his back, looking up at Dallas. "You're gonna undermine me, and defend Andrei and that bitch!?" Luca almost got up, but Remy ran over to him, begging him to stop. She asked the same of Dallas. Just let it go, she said. She was right. Nothing good could come of this. One of them would end up dead, and nobody needed that. Luca overheard Aron, too, tell him violence was not the solution. Luca inhaled and exhaled slowly, his eyes closed.
After a moment, he raised his arms above his head and got to his feet slowly, so as to show he meant no harm. He turned his head to Remy. "Thank you," he whispered. He looked over to Andrei and Holly, then to Anthony, who was clutching Adolphus' rifle tightly, and then to Dallas, who'd taken Luca's gun. "Alright, Dallas, okay. Okay. I...flew off the handle, there. I...it...sorry."
Luca rubbed his jaw, it hurt like a mother. Guy hit hard. It'd be good to keep him around, especially now that Grant was gone. "Well, I still wanna get out of here quick, here," Luca grabbed a shovel and started digging a second grave. "Help would be appreciated, though."

Damon had been right, they should have done something. Dexter blew Grant away, and was quickly put down by Dallas and Luca. Anthony raised Adolphus' rifle, too, but did nothing. It would have been unnecessary. He was more surprised by what came next. Luca fired a shot into the air and commanded Andrei and Holly to get to work. Anthony understood that. Who did Andrei think he was, leading Adolphus to them and then sitting around smoking? He had to answer for what he did, as did Holly.
Anthony found himself on the verge of shouting a warning to Luca as Dallas approached, but nothing came out. Dallas punched Luca to the ground, which Anthony didn't think would end well for anybody, but surprisingly Luca did not retaliate. Anthony was pleasantly surprised. Instead, the ex-cop got to his feet and started digging--which he had previously commanded Andrei to do. Anthony smiled a bit at the action, and grabbed a shovel himself, next to Luca.
"A noble response, Luca," Anthony offered as he began to dig himself.
"Don't sing my praises. Sing Remy's," Luca said back, evenly.
Then it all came back. What Remy had told Adolphus last night, and how she was with Luca a lot. How she whispered in his ear after he was knocked to the ground, and how Luca came running for Remy last night. Could it be...?

When Luca got up off the ground, she backed away and rubbed her blood stained hands on her pants. It was Grant's blood and she went back over to him. He was motionless and expressionless. Another one taken down in his prime. She knew they would take his weapons and leave, but she hoped he wouldn't be forgotten. She knelt down next to his lifeless body while the second grave was dug. She passed by Anthony, but stopping only for a second.
"You and me are gonna have words about Adolphus." She kept going to Grant though, giving him his last rites, just like she gave to Riker. She knelt down next to his body and placed her hand on his arm gently.
"I'm sorry this happened to you Grant. You're the second one here that took a bullet and you should never have died. You vowed to protect Anthony and you did. And you did a good job."
She thought for a few moments and couldn't think of anything else proper for him to say. He came to this country and got stuck here. Now he would be permanently buried here. When she was done saying her quiet words to him, she turned to Anthony and motioned to Grant.
"You should say something. He came here for you, after all."
Once they were buried, the plan would be put in motion. They would have to leave. Her and Luca were going to New Orleans and the others would have to figure out their plan of action. She didn't even know if she should go after Dallas, but she knew he would be her best bet, at this point, to organize people.

Holly saw the man coming with the gun. She scrambled up to her feet, spilling her drink on the ground. Andrei instructed her to get behind him. She wasn't sure for a moment, then moved behind him. He told her he wouldn't hurt her, or let anyone else. She still was t sure if she could trust him. She had trusted Dolph and look how that turned out.
Holly was scared! Hell, she was fucking terrified! She wasn't cut out for this shit. Her adult life had been lived in her apartment and on the internet, not dealing with real people. She reached out and gripped Andrei's side. She was close, too close , maybe. He could probably feel her shakes breaths o. The back of his neck.
The kid with the gun walked straight in and shot someone!! What the fuck! Who the hell was this kid? It didn't matter. He was dead next! Everything went crazy! Shots fired, the dark haired guy, the cop, wanted them dead! Holly was shaking, crying. She dug her nails into Andrei's side, but she never made a sound. Moments, seconds, and the guy who had aimed at her earlier knocked the shit out of the cop. They were insane!! All of them!! It looked like every survivor here had lost their damn minds!
Holly felt Andrei move and go off to follow Dallas. She followed on his cue. Paces behind him, head slightly down. She didn't look at anyone she passed. Traitors! How could she be a traitor to them? She didn't know any of them, and she did help?
Whilst digging, Aron expected the worst from Luca, expecting him to kick off, causing another to die. But he was pleasantly surprised, his reaction was quite the opposite, admitting that he did wrong and moving on. It was a good thing he did this but he couldn't help but question if this was going to be a recurring theme with a man, constantly kicking off and having Remy calming him down.
Aron looked to see Luca and then Anthony start digging also. What were they doing? He had already started digging. Well, three diggers would definitely help quicken the process but it was still a little odd though. The other two were having a small conversation, which Aron awkwardly avoided and pretended not to hear.
He looked back to see a lifeless Grant in a pool of blood, it didn't feel right, he was the one supposed to be alive. The man had gotten himself and Anthony this far and could only thank him for it. Aron believed he displayed the qualities of a perfect survivor. He was smart, strong, respectable and a leader. Grant was gone but not forgotten.
Anthony nodded at Remy, both for her suggestion to say something in honor of Grant, and to speak with her regarding Adolphus. The thought scared him. Maybe she was upset that Anthony had accidentally led Adolphus to them back in Florida. If not for Anthony, Remy and everyone she knew may still be alive, and they'd be living a good life in that mansion with Clem and Dakota and Ash and Greg and Lily and Phillipe and Krista and Logan Frost. Maybe, maybe. Anthony shook his head, not wanting to focus on the hypothetical.
Anthony placed his shovel down, the grave having been dug sufficiently with his help and that of Luca and Aron. He clasped his hands together at his waist and inhaled slowly as Luca helped lower Grant to the ground. "I met Grant in Bear Lake...we met during a training drill. We worked together, me with a shield, him with a knife, I think. We did pretty well...Grant was a good man, a selfless man. He fought for us bravely when Bear Lake's walls came down, he fought for us bravely last night. He saved my life from Randall, he helped save us all from Adolphus...his only mission, he said, was to get Remy and I to where we needed to be. To care for us. He'll never be able to accomplish that mission, I fear. But we can honor his memory by doing as he would: by helping others. Rest in peace, Grant..." Anthony trailed off for a moment, but not before remembering a promise he made to Grant yesterday. "Grant has a brother, possibly alive. I owe Grant my life, still, and I promised him I would help find his brother. Grant, I swear I will make good on this promise."
