Lachland watched the blonde approach, a pudgy man following her. Lachland cocked his shotgun before letting it hang from his belt. He listened to the banter and talk back and forth, watching the reaction of them all. He honestly didn't care. These people didn't wrong him, if Adolphus didn't have the upper hand he would join them. He did whatever he could to get a head and that was final.
When Adolphus said for him and his bodyguards to go get Andrei he nodded. "As you wish Sir," he said nodding for the two mountain of guards to follow. He led them to where Andrei was, both guards armed, one with an Assualt rifel, the other a shotgun. Lachland pulled his own and held it up Andrei's face.
"Time you come with us Pretty Boy. Now you can either come with use the easy way or that hard way. Either way Dolph wants to see you. Hand over your weapons, hands up. Dont make any sudden movement."
Holly stood there and watched. She was not far behind her father. How could this woman do this? Just come running up , to her death? She stared at the blonde, and recognized the male coming behind her. Anthony. No doubt he would remember the red head and Lachland from the camp. She glanced at Lachland. He was cold, and didn't seem to give a shit about right and wrong.
Holly listened and watched. She heard Dolph speak to the blonde and watched her fall and cry. She felt a welling up inside her. Anger, real anger. She heard her Father request Andrei, and how he had used him to hurt the woman.
Holly moved, she forced herself to move. One last act, you can do this. Holly watched as Lachland and his men circled Andrei. No. She realized in this moment, that she gave a shit. Andrei had led them to Remy, why did she feel like she needed to protect him? She didn't stop. She walked right up , and got inbetween them. Lachland to her front and Andrei to her back. "Leave it, Lach!" she raised up on tip toe and took her hand to grip his gun, moving it from her face." I will bring him to my Father!" she glared at Lachland. "I have a feeling he would want him with less damage than you can guarantee." She stood her back to Andrei, and her gun stuck up out of the back of the waist of her pants. God, please see it!
Holly stared Lachland down. He knew what she meant to Dolph. Would he push her? Would he challenge her? Holly backed towards Andrei, her back against his front. "I will take him to Daddy, you can go!" she snapped at Lachland, "Call off your dogs!" she reached back and gripped Andrei's arm, 'Move , back, from them." Holly was giving him an out, she was trying to help him. They were gonna kill him! He had outlived his usefulness, and someday, she would too. Dolph couldn't love her , care for her, none of them did.

Damon watched all unfold, Remy was confronting Adolphus, through his binoculars he caught a glimpse of a guy from Bear Lake... Dan... Andrei? He could hardly remember. Whoever he was he was being lead toward Remy. Suddenly it seemed like some Red head was helping.
Back with the others he heard commotion, saw that punk had hit the biker... and some stand off occurring. He took his rifle and tried to follow Dexter's hand aiming for the gun but some girls head was in the way... "The enemy within... or the enemy at the gates?"
After some contemplation he returned his rifle and attention to Remy, Anthony and to keep an eye from his cover on what was occurring with Dan 'Andrei?
Lily just sat there on the counter while the others talked plans and shit. Remy was saying something, but she was too tired to really pay attention. That was when Dexer came in and whacked the biker upside the head with a shovel. It would have been funny if she saw it on TV. Even in her tired state it was hard to miss and she was the second person to have her gun raised on him after Dallas. Lily didn't know either him or the biker well enough to tell if they were assholes or not. She didn't care, either. Only thing she cared about was the threat of somebody pissed off and having a gun.
“Kay. He's an asshole. You good? You got that out of your system? Because you're a shot away from someone using that shovel to dig your grave.”
Assuming there was anyone left who would bother burying him. The guy took his eyes off of them and Dallas took that opening to take him down. Lily ran off to one of the shelves in the store to find something to tie him up with because she wasn't going to wait around for someone else to do it. She found a resistance strap and came back, getting down on one knee to wrap it tightly around the man's wrists and looked up to Luca.
“He's all yours, Guy.”
Lily went over to where Riker had fallen and rolled him over onto his back to check him out. If he started turning pale she'd know to hightail it.
“Uhh... Anyone here got a medical degree?”
Lily wasn't getting any sleep tonight at this rate.
Grant watched the bikers girlfriend start to leave, taking the keys to her car. She was going to leave with Skyy and her family, get to safety. They would need the numbers, but they could spare them. Grant disliked that she didn't listen to him, that she was following the biker who didn't think rationally and was flipping and changing girls like he did magazines for his gun in a firefight. They needed order, Remy should have made a call.
Then Dexter came out. He watched the kid smack the biker, then hit him again. The biker went down and Grant stepped toward kid. "Let's stay calm. We don't need this right now," he said putting hisbhand up to keep calm, "we have bigger problems then fighting amoungst ourselves." Grant looked at the gun and then at Sam. The other blond guy had stepped in, taking Dexter down. Now they had two less people, two less fighters.
Grant gripped Sam's arm as she went by. He held it tightly and pinned her against the car. After he took the keys he tossed them to Aaron. He let Sam go and looked at her and Skyy. "With Riker out we need you two. You can still stay here, stay safe but we may need you. You can't leave." He stepped back, Sam wasn't going anywhere, she wasn't going to abandon them.
"Aaron you take Dexter, like the guy said, watch him or tie him up. He won't do anything stupid again if he's smart," Grant said as he listened to the other man call him. "Damon, you keep watch with Luca, Sasha and Skyy can help. If Sam doesn't want to fight she can take Dexter, Skyy's family and head inside. Everyone needs to stay sharp."
Grant jogged up to Dallas, caught up to him at his side. "What's the plan," he asked getting low, "I'll follow your lead."

Remy looked at Adolphus and for a quick second, she saw ..something. His eyes looked pained as he watched her tears but just as quickly it was gone. That was her opportunity to take advantage and move quickly, but she would wait. Her calculations were meticulous and she would take advantage of the seconds she would be given. It was the only shot they had. The others thought she was either stupid or crazy for doing this, but there was a reason and she just saw it in his eyes.
She looked towards Lachland and Holly who seemed to be standing protectively in front of Andrei. What had transpired here? What happened after his attack on the Settlement and what happened to Andrei? Her focus came back to Adolphus as she looked up to him. Her hand gripped that bat even tighter now and she could practically feel Anthony welling up behind her. "This world ain't full of monsters. You want there to be to justify what you've done. I'm a survivor..you? You're a murderer."
Adolphus turned around sharply at the commotion Holly had caused. "What are you doing?" his voice was urgent, yet calm. This was not characteristic of Holly, and if she persisted, Adolphus would put a bullet in her knee. "Holly, step aside." This was curious, indeed. Holly had never shown any signs of disloyalty, nor much resentment towards Lachland...nor any affection for Andrei. What was this? And what would Remy and Anthony think if Adolphus couldn't control his own. Adolphus turned his attention back to Remy, but uttered one more command to Lachland. "If she resists, Lachland, put one in her kneecap. Something's gotten into her, I fear."
Remy had accused him of being a murderer. Adolphus snorted at that. "A heavy accusation, though you seem to have forgotten that both Lilly and Greg were trying to kill me. Even under the laws of the old world, my actions were not murder. Logan and Bear Lake...well, I suppose that is, indeed, another story. Good thing we do not live under the old laws. You classify yourself as a survivor, and I suppose you're right by a certain account. You have survived. Though the actions about to transpire will render that statement incorrect." Adolphus raised his rifle to Remy's chest. "Your call, Remy. You, Andrei, or Anthony first? Who will it be?"
Post by Remy LaCroix on Jul 13, 2015 5:45:06 GMT -5
Remy looked at the commotion that the red-head was causing with Andrei. What was even more curious was that it seemed to take Adolphus by surprise as well. She had a good mind to bring her bat into his chest while his attention was thwarted for just a minute, but she knew her hit would likely not be deadly enough to turn this in her favor. There seemed to be discord in his camp though and that brought a bit of relief as she turned her head and made eye contact with Anthony. She said nothing, but her look was that of determination. She wanted him to get ready.
When she turned back, she saw the rifle pointed right at her chest and it took her breath away for a moment. Clearly, Andrei was a prisoner as he spoke about killing him, her and Anthony. She had never had a gun pointed at her so close. Adolphus shot her before and she had the scar to prove it. But this shot wouldn't leave a scar; it would put her in the ground. Her heart was racing again as she wiped the tears from her cheeks trying to come up for air as the rip current of this situation just became more deadly.
Post by Dan-Andrei Moldovan on Jul 13, 2015 20:54:27 GMT -5
The current situation was an overall clusterfuck. Remy, yet again, let her emotions get the better of her, and just charged for Adolphus. When this whole thing began, Andrei was hoping she would keep a more level head, and use the advantages they had. To make matters worse, Adolhpus was now planning to shoot him in front of her, and a woman from the group got in the way of his plans. At first Andrei was somewhat angry with her, since she was hindering him as well as Lachland, but she was soon threatened with being kneecapped for doing what she thought was right. This was a golden opportunity.
The young redhead was making it obvious she wanted to help Andrei. Under different circumstances, they might have gotten close.
"It feels good, doesn't it? Standing up for something." Andrei whispered into Holly's ear whilst Lachland's goons took their positions. "Do you see now, how expendable you are to him? You're nothing but cattle to him, like all the people that died before you." he continued, whilst following her towards Adolphus with his hands raised.
Strategically, he moved close to Lachland and used this opportunity to strike, but not before saying "Help me!" to Holly. It was as good a moment as he would get. With unexpected swiftness, he struck, one hand moving Lachland's weapon to the side, and the other striking towards the man's larynx. The strike would probably prove fatal. Continuing his motion, Andrei would pull Lachland over his back, as cover from the goons' shots. Once a window of opportunity would come, he would unload the man's shotgun into one of the goons. Andrei normally couldn't hit something with such a weapon, but given the close proximity, and the nature of the gun, a sure shot was easily achievable.
The battle was starting. Once it was over, Andrei would either be dead or have a lot of explaining to do. He was aware that Remy and the others would likely send him away or not trust him at all after this, but that didn't matter. What mattered was stopping this madman from hurting anyone else, especially anymore of his friends.
Lachland watched as Holly stepped in the way. He was surprised. Andrei wasn't on their side, he wasn't with them. She was supposed to follow Adolphus, not some long haired hippie. This man was a stranger to him, he wasn't an ally. So why did she protect him? Why did se put her life on the line to protect some fool?
"I had my orders," Lachland said glaring, "now steps aside. I don't want to hurt you. But I will." He moved his gun to the side. The shotgun, clearly visible. Adolphus gave home more orders and he nodded. "Your father just gave me orders to shoot you if you don't listen. I don't know about you, but I don't want that. This gun would cause a lot of damage. You'd be lucky to walk again if I fried at you from this range. The shot would explode your knee, a chance of taking it off. It would be bloody, messy, chunks of flesh everywhere. So it would be best of you backed off."
Then the man struck. Before Lachland could react he felt a chop. Lachland went to fall, gasped for air. He expected his knees to hit the ground and to fall back and instead he was pulled forward. He was pulled forward to make a shield, felt his weight on the man. Lachland continued to gasp for air, but none came. His body went into shock, no air coming to him. His vision faded, slipping into blackness. He was gone, unconscious.
---
Grey and White Attacked with their fists. They were never one for guns, instead brute strength. White brought his fist down toward Andrei, both raised up. He swung down hard but Lachland took the blow as he was pulles to a shield. White saw the gun be pulled and heard the shot. The grown giant took the shot to the chest and fell back, landing flat on his back. He was dead, it would not be log before he turned.
Grey's face flushed with anger. He pushed Holly aside, swinging his arms. He then charged at Andrei, pushing his whole body forward. His goal, to knock into Andrei. At the speed he was going he would topple any man over, a wrecking ball of destruction.
Holly stared at her "Father" as he gave orders to shoot her. He proved her thoughts about him, right then. Her mind was filled! Her eyes went to Lachland in front of her, her ear listened to Andrei echoing her own thoughts. Dolph didn't care about her. She was a tool, something he could use on his sick mission of perfection. His twisted need for vengeance against people just like her. Others who just wanted to survive, to live as best they could in this nightmare.
Andrei was behind her and Lachland was trying to reason with her. He didn't want to hurt her. The blonde said she was pregnant and pleaded with Dolph. Lachland didn't want to obey Dolph, he wanted her to move. Holly could see it in his eyes. Maybe he gave a shit about her?
She was struggling to absorb it all, for her mind to make a choice and her body to react. It was in that moment , Andrei moved past her. Her struck so fast, she didn't realize what was happening. He pleaded for her to help him as he struck. Holly felt like it was all happening in slow motion. She saw him strike Lachland, lift h and turn. The muzzle flash of the shotgun as he took out one bodyguard. The next moment was impulse. Holly saw the second man moving for Andrei. Huge bulldozer of a man. The gun was tucked in the small of her back. She pulled it and as the goon went past, she fired. The shot didn't need to be aimed well. His back and the back of his head were huge targets at this range. Holly trembled as the recoil shook her arms. Blood spray splattered her face. She held the gun as the large man fell. It was pointed at Andrei," let him go, please." She wanted Andrei to release Lachland. Holly didn't know if he was dead or alive, but he had been nice to her. He hadn't wanted to hurt her and she wouldn't let them hurt him.
Within seconds, chaos. White, one of Lachland's men, was dead. Holly had defected, and was helping Andrei, and Remy announced she was pregnant. Anthony raised his shotgun at Adolphus, but Adolphus raised his rifle at the man in return. Anthony wouldn't fire on Adolphus if Adolphus has the rifle trained on him. Still, the situation was quickly spiraling out of Adolphus' control. "Gray! Lachland! Kill them both!" Adolphus shouted at the two men without turning. If he did, Anthony may well shoot him, and Remy could get a swing at him with her bat. Adolphus gritted his teeth as he heard the fight behind them. There was nothing he could do, and he'd have to handle the situation in front of him very delicately. If he could take down Remy, Andrei, and Anthony--and Holly, now--he could leave. No need to fight all those in the town. He had no concern for them, unless they elected to fight him.
Employing this same kind of logic, Adolphus was not one to kill people he deemed as innocent, and an unborn child was innocent. Adolphus had his rifle trained on Anthony, and he was staring at the man. But his words were for Remy. "How long?" was all he asked.

Remy watched as the barrel of Anthony's rifle came up beside her while Adolphus turned and pointed his gun straight at Anthony. She wanted to lunge but she froze as everything seemed to go down all at once. It seemed the redhead that was trying to protect Andrei wasn't sure which way to go. She seemed to shake as she pointed her gun at Andrei and she wasn't sure exactly whose side she was on this time.
But just as she had assumed, Adolphus hesitated. It was that moment that she had been waiting for through all this. Telling him she was pregnant made him stop and reconsider. The barrel of the gun was pointed away from her and that was all she needed to take her own actions. The bat switched hands and she lunged at him with the hardest swing she could muster in her arms. The nails, newly drilled into the bat, got their first taste of blood as she plowed the nails into his back and shoulder. She planted her feet into the ground as she used the bat as a wedge to turn him the way she though he needed to go...clear from her.
"That ain't none of your business."
When she finally turned she looked at Anthony, holding on as tightly as she could before Adolphus could turn his body and fire off a shot at her.
"Anthony! Now!"
She looked over her shoulder where Dallas, Grant and a few others were.
Riker woke up with a pounding headache and the sound of gunfire. He was bleeding and disoriented as he started to get up. His vision was blurry and he immediately grabbed his shotgun out of instinct. Pushing forward, he stumbled a bit as he looked towards the other group and cursed loudly.
"Shit!"
He saw Remy and Anthony standing there with both men pointing rifles at each other and Remy caught in the center. Without any real attention he barged forward and fired off a shot from his shotgun towards Adolphus. The shot completely missed though, hitting a car behind them and richocheting to hit a tree.
Post by Dallas Hatcher on Jul 17, 2015 20:16:27 GMT -5
Dallas stayed hunched down, hidden in the tree line. When Grant did come up to him to learn the plan, Dallas first asked if the man had ever served in the ARMY. Or any ARMY for that matter. The man had answered Dallas' suspicions. He was a former soldier.
"Good." He said with a nod of his head. The plan was simple, one of them would move off to the edge just off to the side. One would hit from the front, and one from the side. The cross fire would serve in a way as to throw off the enemy. It was a tried and true tactic, but one Dallas would never get to tell Grant.
Before he could ever get the words out, Remy had announced that she was pregnant. The news caught the man off guard. What the hell was this woman doing!? Charging off into the center of danger with a child on the way!? She was out of her fucking mind!
"Fuck! God Dammit, move!" He said to Grant when Remy attacked the way she had. She started spouting off, telling people to open fire. Dallas came out of the trees, gun lifting and taking aim. He fired two clean shots at Adolphus before casting a glance on the other grunt of a male. If Grant didn't take care of him. Dallas would open fire again. He just hoped the other man would handle the brute.
With the older man, and the brute, taken care of his attention was turned towards the red headed woman. "Drop the gun." He didn't know who's side she was on, and from what he had seen, she didn't know either. But so far, she hadn't shot anyone. He could only prey that his luck held up and it all stayed that way. He didn't want to shoot a girl, and he didn't want to be shot himself either.

Damon saw everything kick off and began to fire some shots seeing a few men run through the woods. One had a rifle moving towards Remy and Anthony when he shot. Damon heard footsteps approaching and stood up to see a young man holding a knife. Damon pointed his rifle at the kid and waited for a few seconds contemplating whether to shoot.
He sighed "If you win, just tell them I hit you..."
The kid looked puzzled before receiving the butt end of a rifle to the face. In reaction the kid moved his arm in a protective motion which lead to the knife making a two inch cut on Damon's left arm.
Damon slung the rifle over his shoulder and kept low, drawing his handgun with his good arm and waiting to see if he was needed and protecting his wounded arm.
The bat found its target, nearly knocking Adolphus to the ground. He recovered quickly, however, and quickly turned back to Remy, raising his rifle with one hand, clutching his scarred, bleeding face with the other. Before he could get off a shot, Adolphus heard gunfire. A man from the group came charging at them, telling Remy and Anthony to flee. Adolphus flinched, but it didn't take long for him to notice that the man had entirely missed--with a shotgun. In spite of the pain, Adolphus snorted in amusement. He raised his rifle and fired three quick shots at the man's head before turning back to Remy.
They'd set up an ambush. Men were emerging from the brush--there could be a dozen, for all Adolphus knew. They'd gotten the better of him. He was enraged. With blood streaming down his face, he began to scream at Remy. "Enough! Enough! I will not allow some--" Adolphus was cut off--he hadn't noticed that Anthony was no longer behind Remy.

"Okay" Andrei replied to Holly, who took out the last of Lachland's brutes. Slowly, he set Lachland's body on the ground and stepped aside. He would die and turn soon. For a second, Andrei looked at the body still having slight spasms, as the brain was shutting down, and the muscles were struggling to get air flowing again. "I'm sorry, I had no other choice. In the end, if you didn't let them have me, he would've obeyed Adolphus' order. In that scenario, you being able to walk would be a distant memory and a dream. And you would've been tossed aside and left behind at the first walker herd." Andrei spoke calmly. He didn't want Holly to die or get hurt. She seemed to not adhere to Adolphus' sick vision for the future. Maybe she could come with them. Or with him at least. It was doubtful Remy would want to be within 50 feet of him after this clusterfuck. There was shooting and yelling all around them, but him and Holly seemed to be stuck in a world of their own.
"Things aren't looking good for your group." Andrei continued, as he saw Adolphus' group losing. "I can help, just...put the gun down. Please. You're a good person." his chain of thought and speech was interrupted when a man emerged from the bush, pointing his rifle at Holly and telling her to drop it. The clustefuck was getting more fucked up by the minute. As she would turn to face the new man, Andrei moved behind her silently, looking at Dallas and nodding. He hoped the man would understand that he's to keep her distracted. Once he'd get close enough, Andrei would quickly grab one of Holly's arms, throw her on the ground and keep her immobilized there, by applying pressure to certain joints in the arm he still held. This was to make it clear that if she tried anything, he could break it.
"Don't worry." he whispered to her. "You won't be hurt. I promise."
Despite Remy's best efforts to get Adolphus under control with her bat and turn him towards Anthony who had the closest shot at the man, he still managed to fire off a shot. Anthony was instructed to shoot him, but he didn't and that would prove to be fatal.
As he charged forward, looking to protect Remy, he shouted out at Anthony. "What the fuck are you waiting for?" But it was too late. The bullets that left Adolphus' rifle made contact. The first missed, the second connected with his head, the third with his shoulder as he went down. He was stopped in his tracks as the blood poured endlessly from his head and his eyes remained open. The shotgun fell from his hands as he turned into a lifeless corpse.
Holly was so confused as the groups exploded together. She was shaking the gun in her hands showed that. Andrei was talking to her, as he dropped Lachland to the ground. Her eyes stared at him, wide with fear. He said her group. They weren't hers, they were Dolph's. He said she was a good person, was she?
She backed a step and turned when a man came from the woods, gun pointed at her. She glanced at the bodies around them," they're gonna turn." It was what her mind had latched onto. She heard guns go off, the world around her was chaos. Yelling and guns! She wanted it all to stop! Just stop!
She felt someone touch her and flinched. Andrei had taken advantage of her distraction. Seconds and the gun was down and so was she. She struggled, fearing they were going to hurt her. Dolph didn't take prisoners, why should they? Fear caused her to struggle and pain shot through her arm. She yelped and fell quiet, since it seemed he wouldn't let her go. She turned her head to look at Andrei and the other man. Andrei said he would t hurt her, first lie. She knew what pain felt like as it flared through her arm." Please, they're gonna turn!" She looked at White's body and saw it twitch. She cried and whimpered. Were they gonna let the dead take care of her? God, not that!
Holly struggled a bit more, her fear driving her. Feet digging into the dirt under her. He said he would t hurt her!
