Appearance:
Blair is a lithe young woman in her early twenties. She stands at 5'5'' and is slender in stature. Her hair is naturally a dirty blonde and is kept long, falling around the middle of her back. It was layered prior to the outbreak, but is now mostly outgrown. Her eyes are a dark brown, but they are wide and have a hint of innocence just beneath them. She has full lips and is conventionally attractive. Her lean form is usually adorned with jeans, hiking boots, and a tank top underneath some kind of jacket or pullover.
Occupation (studies and job before the outbreak):
Before the outbreak, Blair was a sophomore in college. For work, she ran the counter at her father's gun range.
Hometown (city, state, country):
Blair was born and raised in Tallapoosa, Missouri.
Relationships (relatives, friends,...):
Blair was born into a rural farming family. Her father worked the land and ran the local gun range, and her older brother, Tommy, worked full time on the farm. Her mother ran the local bar. Which is unfortunate for Blair, because she currently has no idea if anyone is alive.

Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Blair was born in the tiny town of Tallapoosa, Missouri to a rural farming family. Both her father and her older brother, Tommy, worked on the farm. But while Tommy devoted his life to it, their father ran the town's gun range on the side. Blair's mother ran the local bar, and Blair's childhood was very cozy. In a town with less than two hundred people, everybody knew everybody. Growing up, Blair had many friends and life was warm and familiar for her. Like everyone else, she learned how to farm and how to shoot. She was a tomboy growing up and always wanted to hang out with her older brother, who was ten years older than she was. He and her father taught her everything they knew, from hunting game, to fishing, to growing her own food.
But Blair wasn't content to just be a little farm girl forever. She wanted to go out on her own and move into a city. She wanted to go to a fancy college and experience life outside of the dirt. Her family was very reluctant to that idea, and they wanted her to be like Tommy, to never leave the nest no matter how old she got. But after persisting, they agreed to let her go to a college in another state if she passed her first two years in Missouri, and only if she passed with flying colors.
Blair hit the books and made sure that she passed all of her classes during the two years that she was enrolled in the local college. On the side, she worked the counter at her father's gun range. During the time that she was in school, she became close to a girl named Becky, who had grown up just a few streets away from her. They had always known each other and played together, but it was their shared dream of moving to a big city that made them the best of friends in school. It was also their newfound friendship that made Blair's parents much more open to the idea of her moving away to a bigger college.
Once Blair's first two years of college were a success, she set her sights on a few universities in Florida. Together with Becky, they flew to the state to scout colleges.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
After scouting a few colleges out in Florida, Blair and Becky decided that they wanted to have some fun. Their last college had been in Orlando, Florida, and Becky found out about a huge music festival that was taking place. Neither of the girls had ever even really been to a concert, let alone a large festival, and they bought tickets to embark on an adventure together. The festival was outdoors, celebrating Electronic Music, and the little farm girls had their minds blown throughout the day. There was loud music, lasers of all kinds, girls in skimpy costumes, and plenty of recreational drugs. For two girls who had barely even had a beer at Blair's mother's bar, this was like a whole new world.
Although they didn't really enjoy the music as much as the other festival goers, they enjoyed spending time together and getting a new experience in. The music was loud all day, and there was barely any cell reception. The pair had no idea about the news of a strange virus outbreak, and they went about their day. A vast majority of people at the event were on drugs of all kinds, and so neither of the girls thought it was strange when they saw a person or two limping around the event once night fell. They just assumed that the people were high, and went about their business. But once people started limping into the crowds and attacking people, everything went to hell. Panic raced through the festival, but as many were inebriated, they were quick and easy prey for the walkers that had invaded the party.
Becky and Blair tried to escape, but there were so many people trying to leave at once through one exit. It was no hope and people were being picked off one by one. The pair of girls ran through the crowds and the chaos until they finally arrived at the string of port-a-potties. With the dead attacking all around them, they rushed into one and locked the door.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
The night spent in the waste-filled port-a-potty felt like an eternity. The girls heard all of the chaos, all of the killing, and thought that they were done for every time a walker would accidentally run into the plastic box. They waited all night, until the groans stopped. The two ventured out of the port-o-potty once they thought that it was safe, and although they weren't immediately attacked, the dead were still wandering around the grounds. Together, they raced for the exit, but Becky didn't make it. She was tackled and eaten alive at the gate, and Blair had to go on alone with a heavy heart. She tried to call her family, but nothing would go through. In the early days of the outbreak, Blair held up alone and tried to wait for the chaos to pass. But it never did, and once the technology officially crashed and was proven useless, she decided to leave the apartment she had been squatting in and try to get home.
But it wasn't easy. She didn't have a lot for weapons or food by the time that she made her move, and getting out of Orlando was almost impossible. She found luck in a small group just outside of Tampa, and together, they made plans to move east. They had heard of safer grounds out on the coast, and together, they tried to get out as far as California. Over the last three years that they traveled together, they weren't even lucky enough to get through Mississippi. There was always a set back, whether it be sickness, death, or walkers. But one of the good things that came from their extended time together was Blair's opportunity to hone her skills in hunting, fishing, and foraging. She kept her group alive in that way, and in exchange, they taught her how to fight and defend herself.
But there was no defense that could protect them from the horde that moved through the state a year ago. Blair and her group tried to escape, but ultimately, everybody that she had grown close to over the last few years died before her eyes. Only Blair survived, and even that was by the skin of her teeth. Alone, it took her a full year to safely and successfully navigate her way back to her home state of Missouri. By then, she was desperate to see her family, or even just a familiar face. A she finally returned to Tallapoosa, she saw plenty of familiar faces. The only problem was that they were rotted and decayed. She traveled to her father's gun range, hoping to find him or any weapons remaining, but all she found was a corpse that was so badly decomposed that it could have been anybody's father. Upon returning home, she found her family's farm burned to the ground, and the charred remains of who could have been her mother in what was left of the house. Tommy was nowhere to be found.
Alone, Blair is travelling around Missouri and looking for any hope for survival. She survived well in a group and desperately craves human contact. She knows that if she can find people, she can learn from them and survive. She has never had an organized group, only the handful of people that she had met in Tampa. But at this point, even just one person would do.
