It had been days since Daniel was on the soft soil of Belle Isle. And with Fall coming around with it's cold air, she would need to get things ready for when the Snow came. Her rotation had finally came for her to come back to the Beautiful Island. Her gear was packed in her truck and was now on her way back to the island from the Airport where she was one of the very few mechanics around that could fix the vehicles there and generators. Sitting in the driver seat, she relaxed a bit since the Russian and American Armed forces were around to help them out and keeping the roads safe for them to travel back and forth from the two different locations. With her shotgun sitting on the floor of the cab and her handgun inside of the center counsel between the two seats, she was driving about 50 miles per hour. It would take a bit of time before she pulled onto the McArthur Bridge, but she was enjoying the time of solace and peaceful silence instead of hearing the dead and people screaming out in pain. So much blood shed had happened and it had covered her hands and clothing. Danny was ready for the break she was given. Her mind wondered a bit as she was thinking of how everyone else was holding up since she was away for so long. Sighing a bit, she turned on her CD player and began to hit the different buttons on it as she was skipping CD's inside of it until she stopped on one CD. The first song that came on was a song Called 'Sinners Prayer'. It was written and sang by the lead singer of what use to be Godsmack. It was a relaxing song as she cruised down the road.
After Twelve minutes of Driving and singing along to the music that was playing, she saw the bridge coming up as she drove along the side of the river. Out of habit, she hit her turn signal and turned onto the bridge and heard over the CB Radio, -after she had to turn down the music and stop her singing-, "We have Daniel's truck turning onto the bridge and driving towards Belle Isle...opening the gates." The gates moved as she came closer with the gates behind her closing. As she passed by the guard shack, she waved at the couple of guards who were inside. Slowing down a bit, she drove her truck right to her little mechanic shop and stopped it when she saw the bay door shut. Putting the truck in park, she hopped out of the dodge dump pickup truck and went over to the door. Kneeling down, she took a hold of the shutter door and lifted it straight up and let go of it as the bay door slid fully open on it's own after her initial movement. The lights were off which was expected. Going back to her truck, she hopped back inside and drove the white work truck inside the bay, parked it and then killed the engine. Opening the door again, she grabbed her firearms and slammed the door shut behind herself. Stepping to the side of the dump bed and slinging her shotgun over her shoulder, she climbed up onto the heavy duty tires and reached into the bed and grabbed her bags. Daniel would then walk over to the office door, opened it and reached inside. Touching the few light switches, she flicked them up and the lights all over the Mechanic shop turned on. Stepping inside of the office, she closed the door behind her and closed the blinds so that if anyone was to walk into the shop, they wouldn't be seeing what she was doing.
Looking at herself in her mirror on the wall, she saw just how bloody her clothing was. Sighing to herself, she took her weapons off and set them down onto her desk and then stripped out of the dried up bloody clothing and tossed them into her trash can. Reaching into her locker, she pulled out her one duffel bag which had the Initials of the College she went to and unzipped it. Pulling out a pair of bra and underwear, she quickly slipped them on since she didn't want to stay naked in the cold office. Then she sat down on the cold leather seat and slid on her black socks. Reaching into the bag for the final thing, she pulled out her mechanic one piece suit. Sliding her body into it, she reached down and zipped it up til it was at her collar bone. Then she put her boots back on and then just sat back down in her seat. Leaning back a bit so that the seat leaned back, she kicked her feet up and rested them on the desk's top. Sighing as she relaxed, her back cracked a bit from the tension she felt throughout the length of her back. "Aaah...it's good to finally relax and not have to worry about something for a bit now..." Lifting up her one arm, she draped it over her eyes and closed her eyes. Her mind started to wonder what Hannah was doing and how she felt about how long her pranking partner was away for. Frowning a bit, she remembered how she felt for those long days and nights of how she missed Hannah and all the things she wanted to say to her. That she loved the blonde and that she wanted to be more then friends with her, but she was scared that Hannah would reject her.
