It seemed like this whole situation had gone to hell pretty damned fast. Haley reacted quickly, the kid on her own initiative sprinting as fast as she could, keeping her head down, moving to help push the barricade vehicles into position. Sure, the pipsqueak wasn't exactly much in the brawn department, her pushing barely making a noticeable effect as she strained to move it, but hey, it was the thought that counted. Probably. "Bam! I think it's high time we get the fuck out of he- Shit!" The fire started coming in. Thick and heavy, barely after they had time to shoot out the tyres. Haley tucked and rolled, behind yet another engine block. Car skin was not going to be enough to stop rifle rounds. Hell, even the big blocks of steel probably weren't the best, but, it's all they had to work with right now.
She readied her Famas, glaring as she peered down the sight, another round cracking as it whizzed by her ear as her every instinct told her to just squeeze the trigger down as hard as she could and just spray at these people, instead though she held back. The recoil from this comparatively large weapon was bad enough by itself, let alone when firing on full auto. She managed to actually bring a few of the scientologists down, remaining ice cold and focused as she let off careful shot, round after round leaving the barrel as the brass clinked down on the arid desert floor.
Empty. She ducked down, quickly reaching into one of her vest pockets to pull out another magazine, but, as she did, a round smashed clean through the vehicle mere inches away from her head, spraying the girl with oil, and coolant. She gasped, falling onto her back, magazine dropping out of her hand. "Shit shit shit!" She stopped a moment to collect herself, slamming the magazine back into place with a shaky hand as a small brush fire had started behind her, glass from a shot through window shattering, spraying her with fine fragments of the laminated window. Haley had no idea if she had been hit. What she knew though, was that she was still breathing and that there were people out there looking to hurt her friends. That wasn't going to happen. Not while she still had anything to say about it.
She held her ground as long as anyone else did, withdrawing with them and scooping up that dropped magazine, firing off single well aimed shots as she did to keep their heads down as she made her way back to the vehicles, saying nothing as she hopped aboard Bam's truck keeping her weapon pointed in the direction of the Scientologist crazies, still shaking slightly with a mix of fear and adrenaline.
"God... I think I'm gonna hurl... Whew."
