It was mid-morning, marking a full 8 days since s/he had last eaten, and about two days since she ran out of water, and had not been sleeping well either. Aryn was effortfully trudging through the woods, when she came upon ....
A highway divider wall.
"Om....Must be, route 70 ...." she said to hirself, not really able to pay attention to the fact that Hwy 70 was quite aways away, and much further south. Following along the wall, she stumbled along for awhile and leaned on it for support, quietly begging for just a little more strength to get somewhere safe. Suddenly, the wall veered away into a large chain-link fence gate, guarded by two people.
Stunned into weary stupidity, she just awkwardly stared back and forth, trying to will her body into reacting. No luck to be had, though, as it achingly screamed out in spent submission, and Aryn could really only collapse to the ground on her knees as her head spun.
Still not done with willpower, she managed to nock an arrow to her bow and tried effortfully to draw it back, as a voice in the back of her mind screamed 'Danger, danger will robinson, danger.' The arrow flew a pitiful meter before skittering another two feet, clattering to a stop on one of the other ones boots.

While Sean, left together with Lila and the two new guys, Ralse was up in the guard tower. Aaron had been with him for a couple minutes but left. While Aaron was making his way down the ladder, Ralse looked at the surroundings, checking the area, just to see if things where still alright. Being in the guard tower was mostly boring, but seems today it was filled with action.
Ralse noticed someone walking very close to the gates. He took the sniper and aimed through the scope. “Stop right there!” he yelled. Aaron heard him yelling and made his way back up the tower. Meanwhile Ralse saw how the person dropped to his or her knees, he couldn’t see yet if it was a girl or a boy yet. But what that person did then, was not acceptable. Ralse now guessed he was a boy, while he watched him raise his bow, aiming at them. “Stop or I will fire.” Ralse yelled. He did notice he was scared, but then the arrow flew and hit Aaron his boot, thank god it had steel tips.
Ralse his reaction was to shoot next to him, making sure the bullet didn’t hit. “Drop your weapons, the next one will be in your body!” He yelled. Meanwhile he checked if Aaron was ok and he gave Ralse a thumbs up, to let him know he was alright.

Aryn felt her stomach groan and twist and roll again as her heart raced. S/he let go of the bow and grasped the ground on all fours, and burp-cough-choke dry heaved for all that her stomach wasn't worth. One of them snatched the bow up, and then took the arrows out of the quiver on her belt/leg.
It would be clear to the others by now, that she was not in good shape, and it was an easy guess that Aryn had had nothing in the way of food or water, for long enough to mess hir up hard.
She gasped and mumbled some random slurred words. In the back of her mind, she knew she was in real trouble. No food or water or sleep, and too much walking was rough on even strong young men, and Aryn, in spite of her soldierly get-up (tactical vest, battle belt, and helmet) was.... Not really a man, anymore.
"Heh- help me." she weakly whispered. Aryn then roll-fell on her back, as the world dimly faded to black....
