Alex sat himself down at a table and waited patiently for the cooks to finish preparing the food for breakfast. He stretched his arms out in front of him and yawned again.
'I've not slept that well since... God knows when!' He thought to himself and chuckled. He then rested his head on his now folded arms and mumbled to himself "life can only get better now... Well, if we're willing to fight for it..."
Picking up one of the cups of Coffee, he leaned back and saw Alex out in the dinning area. Grabbing a second cup, he walked on out. Setting the mug of coffee down in front of Alex, Damen would nod his head to the man. Walking to the other end of the table, he took a place near the end by the wall. Sitting down, he took a sip of the black coffee. "Aaah, that hits the spot. So Mr. Hunt, how did you sleep last night?" Taking another sip, he placed the cup down onto the tables surface and looked at Alex as he waited for an answer. Hearing the Big Rig he had seen yesterday fire up, he figured that the lady Hannah was just warming her truck up and melting the snow off the hood and windshield. But he then heard her talking outside. A few moments later, the sound of the Engine roaring more and more as the sound of Metal scrapping the Asphalt was heard. "Huh, seems like we have a snow removal system here as well...fancy that still surviving."

Alex chuckled at Damen's remark and brought the coffee cup to his lips.
"Yeah... Best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Thank you, for the coffee." He gestured the to the cup by lifting it up to eye level. Alex combed a hand through his messy, graying hair and leant back in his chair with his legs astraddle.

Shifting gears, Hannah began to pick up speed a little bit as she moved the heavy snow. How she was doing it was by going straight on the road and then turning it so that the snow went into the river. Stopping, she would go into Reverse and back up. When the main roads of the Island were done, she started to head for the Bridge and the guard post shack. When they saw her moving, the guards on duty quickly got to work and got the gates down and up for when she past them. The young blonde was now plowing the bridge. They raised the other gates so she didn't have to stop or slow down. Pushing the wave of snow off the bridge was easy for her and her rig as she plowed in a road, making an Ice cold barricade. Stopping the rig, she threw it into Reverse and began to back up the full length of the bridge.
Dropping the blade again, she began to push the other sides snow. Pushing it into the make shift barricade of snow, it was now a good six to seven feet thick of snow that blocked the road on the other side of the bridge. Doing a three point turn in a small area was hard. But after a couple of tries, she turned the rig back onto the bridge and radioed up ahead to lower the first gate. Complying with her, the first gate lowered as the second raised up allowing her to get through. Once she was through, the second gate was lowered. Rolling through the area, she slowed down in front of the Yacht club and turned the beast around so that it was next to her Trailer. Killing the engine, she had saved a lot of people's backs from having to try and shovel the roads. Killing the engine, she stepped out of the Peterbelt. Landing on the asphalt, she walked over to the Trailer and closed the two doors and locked them so that no one could get her Harely Davidson in the back of it. Walking over to the Yacht club, she stepped through the door and stomped her snow covered boots on the mat. Unzipping her Jacket, she took it off and slung it over her shoulder. Taking her time, she walked towards the kitchen and leaned against the counter. "Morning everyone, no need to worry about shoveling the roads. It's all been plowed."
A couple of cheers were heard as she grabbed a plate of eggs and a freshly made hot cup of coffee. Walking towards the dinning hall area, she took her seat next to where Sarah usually sat and began to chow down. Sipping the coffee, she looked at Damen and Alex who were looking at each other. "Well Good Morning you two. I hope you guys slept well. I know I did."

After examining both Quentin and Dana in the infirmary - Alex appeared weak and had a wan expression but his gunshot wounds were otherwise healing great; Dana, on the other hand, had the most sullen expression one could have and not be a shambolic walker - Joseph walked down the hallway and pretty much bumped into Sarah as she was just stepping off the main staircase. "Oh, excuse me," he said to her, helping her back up onto her feet; as they stood there, she asked him how his two patients were doing.
"Like night and day," Joseph replied. "They're both doing better than they were the day before; Quentin's gunshot wounds are healing up great...I figure a few more days and he should be well enough to leave the infirmary. Dana, on the other hand...," sighing before adding, "...is a dope-sick vicodin addict who wants to kill herself."
"What'd you tell her?" Sarah asked as they began walking towards the dining hall.
"I told Dana that if she wanted to kill herself, she would do it once she was sober, not while she was doped up...which is also why it took so long yesterday for us to bring her back out of hypothermia; the vics' screwed up her body a good bit. Still," pausing to hold the door open for Sarah as she entered the dining hall, "if I can her sobered up, maybe she'll change her attitude." Looking over at one of the tables, he waved and said, "Looks like you got a waiting party for you, Ms. Sharpe."

Looking over at one of the tables, Joseph waved and said, "Looks like you got a waiting party for you, Ms. Sharpe."
"So I noticed," Sarah said, seeing the group sitting at one of the tables, her heart beaming at the sight of Hannah sitting there as well; grabbing a breakfast plate (eggs, link sausage and rolls) and cup of coffee, Sarah joined the others at table, sitting next to Hannah. "Morning, everyone," she said as she sat down, leaning over to kiss Hannah as they sat there at the table.

Turning her head, she saw her lover walking in with her breakfast and cup of coffee. The bite marks were evident on her neck as she didn't cover them up. Instead of being ashamed of it, Sarah was wearing them with a badge of pride as if saying, 'I'm taken by this person.' Smiling as she sat down and leaned over towards her, Hannah leaned to her as well and kissed straight forward and right to the point. Breaking the kiss, Hannah smirked as her eye fell on the bite marks and whispered to her. "They turned out pretty good. Can only imagine how the others are fairing." Smiling, she leaned back into her chair a bit as she drank some more of her coffee. Placing the cup down and her left hand resting on her thigh, she slid her right hand over to Sarah's lap and had it rest there for a while. Hearing everyone talking back and forth.
When Hannah was done her breakfast, she kissed Sarah again and said. "I'm going to take a walk around and get familiarize myself again with the Yacht Club. I'll be outside in a little while if you still want that Snow ball fight sweetie." Standing up, she looked at the rest and bowed towards them. Downing the rest of her coffee, she placed the empty cup onto the empty plate and made her way out. Walking down the hallway, she was passing the medical wing. Remembering so much that had happened months before, she stepped inside. But what she saw was something she wasn't expecting. On one of the beds, she saw Dana strapped to the bed. Dana was equally surprised to see Hannah here and even with anger deep inside of herself, she was going to try and get out of the restraints on the bed. "Hannah dear, can you please let me go from this bed? They are holding me prisoner." Hannah was shocked at what she had heard. It wasn't like the Belle Isle group to hold captives. Even though they had a major falling out, she still cared for the little woman. Rushing over, she began to undo the straps to the restraints.
Once Dana was free, she sat up and rubbed her wrists. Hannah had turned away and Dana had anger etched on her face. Getting off the bed, she rushed Hannah and slammed herself into the blond which crashed to the floor. Turning herself on the ground, she saw Dana straddle her and began to throw punches at Hannah. Raising her arms up, she would try and block them as best as she could. "You took my drugs away from me you bitch!" Dana yelled at her. Reaching around, she grabbed the blond hair and yanked it down to the ground. As her head was being pulled down, she used the strength in her legs and back to thrust upwards to throw Dana off. With the unbalance, Dana fell off of Hannah and gave Hannah time to get away from her. Her M-9 fell out and landed on the ground near Dana. Running to the other side of the room, Hannah drew the .45 and had it ready to fire. But when she lifted the gun and aimed it, she saw Dana had the other gun. "Why are you doing this Dana? I helped you out of those Restraints." Dana laughed a bit and then replied. "So? you think you getting an Addict out of those Restraints means the slate is wiped clean? You stole my drugs you dumb blond bitch, and now...you are going to reap what you sow." They each had weapons aimed at each other. The fingers both slowly squeezing the triggers.
From outside of the room, two gunshots were heard as it echoed throughout the yacht club which would cause people to look at each other and wonder what the fuck just happened. Dana stumbles out of the medical room with a decent size bullet wound her right chest. With the handgun still in her hand, she quickly moved trying to find the other exit besides the front door. Seeing people coming out into the hallway, she aimed her gun up and fired a couple of shots at them. It caused the people to duck back into the rooms they came out of and shut the doors behind them. Meanwhile, Hannah sat against the far wall with a bullet wound in her left side. Blood coming out of it as her handgun laid on her lap as she was stupid enough to believe Dana again. Tears streamed down her face as the pain was starting cause her now to cry out in pain. The bullet didn't hit any of the bones and barely missed her stomach and her intestines. The Bullet narrowly missed her liver. It went clean through as her blood began to stain her shirt and the floor below her.
Dana would stop with gun raised as people from the dinning hall was starting to pour out of the room. Firing a couple of shots, she missed almost everyone of them and one his Commander Damen square in the chest of his Bullet proof vest and made him stumble a bit and in turn called her a bitch. Dana turned around and ran the way she just come from. She was like a frantic animal trying to escape captivity. Hannah on the other hand placed her left hand over the injury and tried to stand up. But with the pain coursing through her body, she only managed to get to a knee and then having to sit back down on the floor. Laying on her right side, she curled up slightly into a fetal position as her body was hurting from the gun shot wound.
As Alex drank his coffee and relaxed in chair, he heard a few gunshots coming from outside of the kitchen. His body quickly went tense and he slammed his mug on the table, unintentionally, spilling some of its contents.
"What in God's name is that?" He shouts and stands up, drawing his magnum from his waistband.
The hallways were eerily quiet, no one was to be seen so Alex continued travelling towards the sounds of the gun shots.

After waking up in her and Chris's new quarters on the second floor - who knew beds could be so comfortable? or romantic? she mused - Kate headed down to Medical, figuring she'd check on both Quentin (who'd been moved to a separate part of the infirmary) and Dana (who'd had to be restrained for lashing out at Melissa late last night) before she grabbed a bite to eat and began her duty shift in the Medical office.
Walking down the back stairwell, Kate was about halfway down when, for a brief fleeting moment, she thought she heard what sounded like something crashing into a wall, followed by several gunshots. "Holy shit!" Kate whispered, pulling out her .38 revolver and making sure it was loaded and ready to go before she began making her way down the rest of the stairwell, keeping a sharp eye on the first-floor stairwell door;having heard the radio traffic over the past few minutes, she decided to wait in the stairwell, knowing if anyone came through the doors, they'd have to get past her to head upstairs...
Sitting in one of the exam rooms, Kara waited for a medic to examine her; for the past few weeks - going back to when she'd been with the Hampton group - she'd been complaining of various vague symptoms: fatigue, morning sickness, an overall sense of malaise - and just wanted to know what, if anything, was wrong with her.
Suddenly, pretty much next door to her - there erupted a cacophony of sounds, like someone had opened up a wrestling ring next door, followed by a bunch of loud bangs - things erupted; sliding down off the exam table, Kara got dressed, grabbed her pistol and peeked outside the exam room....seeing someone frantically moving in her direction, Kara took the opportunity to sneak over across the hallway. Getting into a position by the hallway corner, she waited for Dana - at least, that's who she thought it was - to get to the corner. Quietly, she heard the frantic footfall , waited and waited and....
Bang-bang!
Things happened so fast that, had Kara lived to tell about it, she would've thought it was almost instantaneous the ways things went down; stepping out from behind the hallway corner, Kara had just drawn her weapon when Dana, seeing her, fired at her as well, the two of them exchanging a shot a-piece at the other. The startledness both of them had plus their skill at wielding their respective steels all-but-dictated where there shots went and the results of those shots....
For both it was million-dollar shots, the kind that no one ever sees coming, the kind that would've baffled investigators at a crime scene....both of them had unloaded at the other, striking the other in almost the exact same spot on their foreheads; for Dana, the shot entered just above her right eye and exited out near the center of the back of her head...for Kara, the shot entered just about at the center of her face, exiting near the center-back of the head.
Neither one of them would've felt the round go through, but at least the threat Dana had posed to Belle Isle was now done and gone....Kara MacMillan is dead.

BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG!
The shots rang out and Hannah forced herself to her hand and knees. Grabbing her .45 back off the floor and her right hand now holding the injury, she began to stumble through the medical room. Pushing herself through the door, she followed where the gun shots rang out. When she came about to where it happened, she saw Dana's lifeless body on the ground. But it wasn't that that horrified her. It was the other blond laying on the ground with blood pooling up at the back of her head. Dropping the gun, tears began to fall down her cheeks as she began to cry. Stumbling over to the dead woman, she fell to her knees and lifted her lifeless head into her lap. As she cried, she was trying to speak. "I-I-I'm sssso ssorry...It..should h-have b-been me laying here...I-I o-only bring D-Death to those a-a-around me..." The blood coming from Kara's head was starting to stain her jeans as she held the body in her lap.
Moving her hand, she moved the hair from out of her face as she looked down at the once ago cop. Hannah felt guilty that someone innocent had to die because of her mistake. With more of her own blood was coming out and pooling on the ground, she could hear the sounds of running as everything was starting to sound distant and her vision was starting to blur. Feeling heavy and weak at the same time, she decided to lay down on her side as the head was still in her lap. Hannah laid there, looking up at the ceiling.

"They turned out pretty good. Can only imagine how the others are fairing," Hannah said as they sat in the dining hall; Sarah adjusted herself in her chair as Hannah slipped her hand onto her lap...it was all Sarah could do to not trap her hand between her legs and just let it rest there, like she was tempting Hannah to do something illicit - maybe even a little naughty - while they were sitting there in the dining hall.
When Hannah was done her breakfast, she kissed Sarah again and said. "I'm going to take a walk around and get familiarize myself again with the Yacht Club. I'll be outside in a little while if you still want that Snow ball fight sweetie."
"Oh, I can throw down with the best of them, love," Sarah whispered as Hannah got up from the table, winking at her as she walked away before turning and joining in the conversation with everyone else at the table. Finishing the last of her coffee, she got up herself and said, "Gonna' fill up the cup; be right back," walking over to one of the mugs and filling her cup. Just as she got done, she - like everyone else - heard what sounded like gunshots from the other side of the building."What in God's name is that?" Sarah heard Alex shout as he drew his pistol and kept watch on the dining hall doors.
"I don't know," Sarah whispered. "Stay here--" Before she could finish her thought, she saw Dana rushing over, firing several gunshots in their direction....ducking down, she saw Commander Smull get hit, but he brushed the shots off (she didn't know it, but he was wearing a vest underneath his clothes) and hurled a few invectives in Dana's direction. "Damen, stay here and watch over everyone. Alex, come with me," she said, having drawn her .45 out and making sure a round was loaded in the chamber.
As the two of them headed outside, one of Sarah's fellow Belle Isle residents yelled down, "What's going on?" but Sarah didn't answer; waving Alex over to one side, the two of them walked down the hallway through Medical....it was as they got down towards the end that they saw what appeared to be three bodies on the floor - two of them were obviously dead, the third---
"Hannah!!" Sarah cried out; rushing over, she knelt down and cradled her lover in her arms. Looking down at Hannah, she brushed a few stray hairs from Hannah's face and just held her close. "Alex," she said, looking over at him, "Go back to the dining hall and get the Doc right now! Go, go!" As she kept holding onto Hannah, she heard her crying and it broke her heart... "I-I-I'm sssso ssorry...It..should h-have b-been me laying here...I-I o-only bring D-Death to those a-a-around me..." she kept saying.
"No, you don't, Hannah, you hear me?" Sarah cried out as Hannah appeared to be slipping in-and-out of consciousness. "No, no, you stay with me, Hannah, you hear me?" Sarah said as she frantically looked around. "Medic!" she yelled, all-but-crying herself. "Medic!"

Stumbling a bit to his chair and pulling out his side arm, the SIG SAUER P320. He saw the Doctor coming up to him to see about injuries. Opening his shirt, he showed his Bullet proof vest. "I'm fine Doc, it hit the plate in the vest..." He could hear a person yelling out something out in the distance of the buildings hallways. Looking at the Doctor, and then at everyone else who had they're firearms out. "Ok Doc, we know that there was a few gun shots heard. We do no good standing here in case someone is dying out there. So I'll escort you and we will see about any injuries. Agreed? Ok, let's go." Stepping out of the hallway, he saw Alex rushing towards them and that wasn't a good sign. Damen ran down the hallway from which Alex was coming from. With handgun at his side, he didn't let anything stop him from reaching where Alex was.
Coming up to the place in question, he saw a short woman with black hair laying in a pool of blood. Two gun shot wounds. Going over to her, he saw that the one bullet wound was in her head and in the right shoulder. Shaking his head for a moment, he heard Sarah crying out for a medic to his left. Turning, he saw another body with a single gun shot wound to the head. But Sarah was holding the blond from earlier, Hannah. "Sweet Jesus." He said as he rushed over to Sarah and Hannah. Hannah was saying over and over. "I-I-I'm sssso ssorry...It..should h-have b-been me laying here...I-I o-only bring D-Death to those a-a-around me..." To him, it sounded like Survivors guilt. Frowning, he yelled out from behind him. "Doc! Over here!" Reaching over, he turned Hannah to the one side to see about her injury. Lifting the shirt up with some effort needed since the shirt was starting to stick around the injury, he saw that it was a through and through wound. Placing one hand on the back side of the injury and the front side injury, he began to apply pressure to help slow down the bleeding. It caused Hannah to squirm a bit as the pain woke her up a bit as she cried out some more, holding onto Sarah now. "I'm sorry Hannah, but I have to slow down the bleeding. You've lost a lot of blood so far."

Hearing the sound of gunshots coming from the other end of the yacht club building, Joseph all-but-threw his chair back from him and drew his .44, holding it at his side as both he and Commander Smull headed towards the center of the building... "Ok Doc, we know that there was a few gun shots heard. We do no good standing here in case someone is dying out there. So I'll escort you and we will see about any injuries. Agreed? Ok, let's go," he said to Joseph.
"Then, by all means, let's go," Joseph replied; getting his ready out, he got on the horn to Kate and told her to get the medics rallied down at Medical for what sounded like a mass casualty kind of situation...then he witched channels and tried to get hold of Kara. Shaking his radio, he tried again when both he and Commander Smull got to the scene.
"Ka-....Ka....Kara, no," Joseph said quietly, repeating that last word over and over. "No, no, no," he whispered, kneeling down next to her lifeless body for a few moments. "We were going to have a family together," he said quietly, almost to himself more than to anyone else around....that was why Kara had been in Medical - Joseph had known from the symptoms she'd been having the past few weeks that he was going to be a father but he wanted a second opinion...that was why Kara had been in Medical that morning; he had asked one of the medics to examine Kara (including an ultrasound to confirm what he almost knew was certain to be the reason for her morning ills).
Hearing Damen call over to him, Joseph got up a little and whistled to Kate, who'd spent the time during the gunfight keeping an eye on the stairwell in case Dana had gotten out of Medical. "Kate, go get Exam 1 prepped and ready for surgery," Joseph said, putting thoughts of Kara out of his mind as he examined the bullet wound in Hannah's midsection. "Okay, we got a through-and-through," he said, snapping his fingers as both Hannah and Natasha came running over to join them, followed by theother medics rightbehind them. Watching as Commander Smull began applying pressure on the wounds, Joseph snapped into action. "Alright, Hannah, go get the surgical kits and take them to Exam 1; Natasha, help the commander here keep pressure on these wounds. We've got to stop that bleeding and soon.
"Haley, you and Kasie grab a stretcher and bring it over here; we'll lift her up carefully and get her into Exam 1...Melissa, go check on Quentin, make sure he didn't get hit again by any stray rounds, then go to Exam 1 and assist Hannah and Natasha." Looking over at the commander, he said, "As soon as we get her on that stretcher, I want you," pausing to look around a moment before continuing, "and Alex to lock Medical down; no one gets in or out."
Alex had a wave of emotions rushing through him as he saw the two women on the ground, one presumed dead.
"What about bodies? Do we do a count then move them or do we just leave them and check if they won't come back?" Alex asked, not knowing whether to be sincere or just straight to the point.
Before going through with the doctors instructions, he locked over to Damen and tapped his arm. "You OK?" He asks, showing genuine concern for the man he held a grudge on.
Post by Damen Smull on Mar 10, 2017 19:58:17 GMT -5
Damen stayed there holding the injury. The Good Doctor began to bark out orders and the one nurse had taken Damen's job of holding the injuries. When the stretcher came and with Sarah holding Hannah's upper half, Damen went to her feet and helped lift her onto the stretcher. He watched as Hannah was wheeled back into the Exam room where they were going to work on her and save her life. Holstering his handgun, he started to walk back towards the two that were dead and seen Hannah's M-9 in the one who shot him and Hannah's .45 laying by the wall near the dead blond. Picking them both up, he heard Alex's question about the bodies. He replied. "These two both gotten a shot on each other in a odd fate of way. They both head shot each other from where they were...no need to worry about them coming back to life. When they are done with Hannah in there...we will get these two buried. But it might take some time since the ground is frozen."
Alex walked over to him and was actually worried about the Naval officer and asked if he was Ok. Smiling at Alex's question, he patted the man's shoulder and turned to face him. Opening up his fatigue shirt to reveal his bullet proof vest. Undoing the upper part in front of the vest, he slid out the five pound plate of steel and held it as it showed the 9mm round had hit it. Reaching to the bullet hole, he pulled out the bullet and showed him. "Yeah, just going to be a bit sore in the chest from that shot. It stops the bullet, but the Kinetic force of the bullet still hurts upon impact." Sliding the plate back into the vest and zipping it back so that the plate couldn't be messed with. Damen buttoned his shirt back up and tucked it into his pants. Pulling out his side arm again, he took up place a few feet from the Exam door. "Well Alex, we have a task ahead of us. No one is allowed into here or out of the building."

As the medics wheeled Hannah into Exam 1 for emergency surgery, Joseph steeled himself for the task at hand; he could grieve for Kara later, he thought to himself, stripping off his long shirt and undershirt and slipping on surgical clothing in its' place...watching as the medics continued their work on Hannah so that she could be safely operated on, one of them asked, "Are you alright, Doc?"
"Yeah, I'm alright," Joseph replied as he washed his hands thoroughly in surgical solution and dried them - or more precisely, held them up for one of the medics to dry them off for him - before walking over to Hannah, who was out like a light. "Is she...," he began to ask.
"Knocked out on anesthetic," another medic replied; nodding his approval, he said, "Alright, let's see if we can't save her..."....two hours later....
Satisfied that Hannah would be alright and safe, Joseph set down his instruments and said, Well, I think we can say we saved another life, everyone," adding, "Let me get these few sutures in and you all can wheel her over to the infirmary so that she can begin to recover."
Several minutes later, Joseph stepped out of the exam room, feeling as though he'd just run a marathon with his feet encased in concrete; looking at the others in the hallway - Alex, Commander Smull, Sarah and a few others - and said to them, "Hannah's going to be alright; we got the bleeding stopped and managed to patch her up. Good news: whoever shot her's the lousiest shot ever to live; that bulled missed everything inside of her....on the other hand: she lost a lot of blood; I've got her on blood plasma and dextrose/saline to try to keep her blood volume up, but it's going to be touch and go for a few days. Bottom line: if she makes it past the next 48 hours, she should be just fine."

For two hours, Sarah paced the floor outside of Medical, a set of rosary beads in one hand, a worried, pursive look about her....she thought about the night before and the morning with Hannah and kept whispering to herself, Please let he be alright, please let her be alright, almost in a staccato fashion. Suddenly, the door to Exam 1 opened and Sarah rushed over to join the others as Dr. MacMillan stepped outside, looking ashen white but otherwise seeming to be in good spirits. "Is Hannah going to be alright?" Sarah asked.
For several minutes, she and the others heard the good doctor tell them what they'd done, the good and the bad of it; before he could finish, she said, "Can I go see Hannah?"
Nodding his head towards the infirmary, Dr. MacMillan said, "Go on; she's unconscious, but you can go in there." Without waiting, Sarah sprinted down the hallway and all-but-knocked the door down to the infirmary, rushing over to Hannah's bedside...sitting down in a nearby chair, she took hold of Hannah's hand and held it tightly in hers', hoping to transfer some of her own warmth into her lover's hand. "Doc says you're going to be alright," Sarah whispered to her, putting Hannah's hand up to her face and holding it there as the tears began to flow from her eyes. "They say even when you're unconscious, you can hear things people say, so," leaning up as close as she could without disturbing the IV lines going into Hannah's arm and whispering to her, "Hannah, I love you...as God as my witness, I love you," squeezing Hannah's hand to emphasize the point, not caring if anyone saw her crying as she there next to her lover's bedside...

Two hours had went by and her surgery was a success. The Good Doctor had stopped the bleeding and she was wheeled into the recovery wing. It was the same room where she laid when they brought her back to life when her heart had stopped pumping months earlier. She was dreaming about her and Sarah sitting at the Dock on a summer day. They were watching boats going up and down the river. Holding each other's hands, she heard her voice whispering to her. "Doc says you're going to be alright,They say even when you're unconscious, you can hear things people say, so, Hannah, I love you...as God as my witness, I love you." The dream's walls around her shattered as she could feel her hand getting wet with drips of warm liquid. Sarah would feel Hannah's hand equally squeeze her's as Hannah turned her head and opened her eye half way to look at her. A weak smile came across her face as she moved her hand and placed it on the side of Sarah's face, wiping the tears away with her thumb.
"And I love you too, Sarah. And they are right...we can hear while unconscious. Besides...I'm not allowed to die without living a good portion of my life with you and to watch Meredith grow up." Smiling still, she watched as more tears came forth from Sarah. "Hey,hey, hey baby girl...no need to cry. I've survived from much wor-" She cut herself as she looked around the room a bit and realized which room she was in. "...worse. This is the room my heart stopped.Ironic if you ask me....but I should have knew better then to trust Dana and take off her restraints. Last time she saw me, I took away her pain killers away from her. I now know she still held the grudge of me finding out about her cheating and me taking her drugs away from her. She told me that you guys were holding her Captive...I'm such an idiot to trust her." Hannah said with a crack in her voice as she was thirsty.
"So...did the good doctor say I could have anything to drink? I got one bad case of Cotton mouth and...I'm sorry if our day is now...ruined." She looked down as she felt ashamed of what had happened. She was looking forward to the snow ball fight.

Sitting by Hannah's bedside, Sarah gripped her hand like it was a lift-jacket, the tears wetting Hannah's hand where they fell from her face...suddenly, she felt Hannah move and a familiar voice say to her, "And I love you too, Sarah. And they are right...we can hear while unconscious. Besides...I'm not allowed to die without living a good portion of my life with you and to watch Meredith grow up."
"And I'm not going to let you die, Hannah," Sarah said, the tears flowing more freely now, "not if I can help it," an even brighter smile coming across Sarah's face as Hannah continued.
"No, you're not an idiot, Hannah," Sarah said as she motioned to a medic for a glass of water, "you're simply human, like me and everyone else in this world," reaching over and gently caressing Hannah's face before sitting down once again. "Doc says you're going to be in here a couple of days; I'll see if I can't get the medics to move you up to our bedroom, let you sleep on the bed," adding, "I'll have 'em move the couch into the bed so that I can sleep there next to you," gripping her hand once again.
