She eyes the bread in Alex's hand and drools. "I told you...I'm not hungry.." She looks away and stares at the ground, trying her best to distract herself from the food. She thought that maybe if she ate the bread he would want something in return. Lottie hugs herself and then returns her gaze back to Alex. "My name is Charlotte..."

Lottie shuffles further away from the man and pulls at her sleeves in nervousness. "Look i know you're trying to create conversation...but..I don't really want to talk." She sighs and tightens her ponytail.
"You sure? You look cold... Here, have this." Alex takes a few things from his bag before reaching into the bottom of it and produces a blanket of which he drapes over her shoulders quickly before she has time to decline and protest.
"You're very welcome!" He exclaims with a closed eye smile. He then turns away to check the surroundings whilst eating the bread. The cold suddenly gets to him and he shivers as the cold travel down his spine.

The dark blue eyes fixed on a female who approached him with her hood up. She had a friendly smile and had her hand extended to him. Introducing herself as Sarah Sharpe, Damen would raise his opposite hand and give her a firm hand shake. A smile came across his face as she explained about the delay. Once his hand was free, he raised it up and shook his head. "Ma'am, no need to explain. I'm a sailor. so the cold dont bother me much. Commander Damen Smull, Naval Commander. Well, what's left of the Navy I'm not sure of. I only know that the ship I was a second on blew up almost four years ago." Ms. Sharpe started to explain that they were gonna talk on the way to the bridge and back. Her question she bared to him was how many souls could fit inside the Vehicle he called Chimera.
" Two in the front, three in the back seats, One in the turret and if you want you can fit someone on the small enclosed tail bed." He walked with her to around the side of it, and opened the passenger side door for her. Raising a hand for her to help her inside. "Let me help you in Ma'am." He offered. Once inside, he would close the door for her and walk around to the driver side door. Hopping inside, he would move his SMG to sit in between his seat and the center consul. Turning the key, the heavy diesel engine fired to life. Backing the vehicle and turning it around, he shifted it into first gear and began to drive towards the McArthur Bridge. Turning on the heater, the vents on the dash board began to fill the compartment with heated air. "So you have questions you want and I might have answers to give Ms. Sharpe."

Commander Damen Smull, Naval Commander. Well, what's left of the Navy I'm not sure of. I only know that the ship I was a second on blew up almost four years ago."
Shaking his hand, Sarah listened as he explained how many could fit inside the military vehicle and where, offering her a hand and some assistance in climbing aboard the front passenger seat. "Ah, thank you," Sarah said as she settled into the seat. "Hyatt, I want you up on the turret; Chris, I want you and Kasie with us as well," Sarah said, watching as everyone climbed on-board. Once everyone was aboard, Damen fired up the diesel, backed the vehicle up and they headed back down towards the MacArthur Bridge.... Turning the key, the heavy diesel engine fired to life. Turning on the heater, the vents on the dash board began to fill the compartment with heated air. "So you have questions you want and I might have answers to give Ms. Sharpe."
"Plenty, but they can wait until later when we get back here and we can you through Medical," Sarah replied, adding, "for now, we need to get back down to the bridge and see who's out there," pausing as she looked out the front of the vehicle, hoping it was just survivors at the bridge and not anything more than that.

Lottie heard an engine growling and her head snapped in the direction of the sound. A small smile plastered her lips as she tightened her grip around the blanket giving it one last hug before throwing the material back at Alex. "Can you see? Are there people coming?" She asked, hope and excitement in her voice.
Alex quickly stands up, discarding the blankets as he rises.
"Looks like it. Hopefully they don't think that we're those walkers and kill us on the spot..." He mutters, his voice was suddenly quieter as a sudden spike of panic hits him. He had no intention of staying too long but this place looked like it housed a few people and could hold two more.
"If they start shooting, just run. They probably have more advanced weapons than us, especially you..." He mutters and noids to your knife.

Lottie glares at Alex. She hovers her hand over her switchblade. "I'll have you know...I'm very skilled with knives...i once killed 7 geeks under a minute with this bad boy!" She pats her pocket holding the knife, wanting the lie to impress Alex.

Damen stayed quiet as they drove closer and closer towards the two (who he was hoping were friendly) survivors. Turning on the high beams and the four mounted lights on top (One on either corner of the roof of the Military vehicle.), which flooded the area with bright light and lit up everything. Putting the brakes down with pressure of his boot, the vehicle came to a slow stop. With the head lights slightly aimed away from the child and the older man, Damen stepped out of the idle vehicle. Grabbing the SMG that looked like a Sarbine version of the M-4, he brought the butt of the stock to his shoulder as he walked closer to them, but enough space that they couldn't lung for him. Studying them carefully, he noticed the younger female patting her pocket. His ears heard the Swivel of the turret moving and the machine gun moving slightly to aim. "Hello there, I'm Commander Damen Smull. It's a bit cold out here. Do you two want to warm up? If so, I will be needing your weapons for the time being while inside my vehicle. Don't want an accident to happen while in it."
Sticking his free hand out towards them, he waited for they're answer. There wasn't much to worry about since the guy named Hyatt was on the .50 caliber machine gun. Across Damen's face was a warm, friendly smile as he stood there with his sleeves still rolled up and buttoned to keep them in place. His right hand stayed on the handle of the Submachine gun as he could stand there all night long if he needed to. Listening closely, he was listening to hear if there was any one or Anything else waited for them outside of the lights reach.

Alex looks down at Charlotte before squinting back up at the 'commander'. He wasn't sure about him but he wanted to go somewhere warm and safe maybe until spring came around.
"We'll come with you but I'm keeping my guns. Doesn't seem fair now if you take away our only line of defense but can still stick a rifle to our heads. We won't cause any trouble." Alex tries to reassure but he doesn't think it'll work. 'Maybe he could take pity on us because there's a child?' He thought.

"Here..." Lottie reaches into her pocket and hands over her blade. "But i want it back as soon as i can, alright?....my name is Charlotte." Lottie smiles nervously, hoping that they were nice people...people that she could trust. She felt unease and her eyes often drifted to the barrel of the turret. It was aiming towards her direction, so she tried to remain calm and obedient.

Listening to Commander Smull's instructions to the two survivors, Sarah rushed over and with Kasie's help, got the inner barricade raised so that the two could pass through; once they had passed by them, the two quickly lowered the barricades and walked back over to the M-ATV....
Upon hearing those words, Sarah's face grew stern and she said to the man, "Let him have your weapons; you'll get them back once you've been checked out at Medical." It was standing procedure that anyone arriving at Belle Isle was required to go through a medical exam, both to make sure they hadn't been bitten (or were hiding evidence of bites) and to make a general assessment of their overall health. "Now give him your weapons...both of you, alright?" she asked the two newcomers in a voice that brooked no question as to who was in charge on the Island.

Lottie patted down her pockets and removed her AK 47 from her bag...it was useless anyway, as it didn't have ammunition. She was now defenseless but she reassured herself that she would get them back later on. Lottie passed them over, giving up her gun and wooden bat and glared up at Alex, wondering what his next move was going to be.
At first, the girl handed over her switchblade knife. But even with the rules set for his Vehicle transportation, the Man resisted to comply to him. The Naval officer was gonna say something to him, that is until Ms. Sarah Sharpe decided to chime in and made it clear that if no weapons were handed over, then no entry to the community. He was given then an AK-47 assault rifle. Not from the man, but from the girl again. Raising an eyebrow, he slid back the receiver and saw it was running dry on ammo. Or lack of Ammo. Nodding his head to her, he would address the girl who said her name was Charlotte. "Ok Ms. Charlotte, you may climb aboard. Someone will help you on either side it. The heater is on, so get yourself warmed up....and as for you." Turning his cold blue eyes to the man who yet was to give him the weapons he has on him.
"The rules are simple. You give me the weapons now, you get driven across towards Medical, get checked out and get your weapons back. Or, you and I can just stand here. I don't know about you, but I can stand the cold a good bit of time. My transport, my rules for safety of others while In my transport. Now Pick your poison, Mister. Hand over your weapons and get into the warmth of the cab of the Oshkosh M-ATV, or stay out here and freeze. I'm not forcing you to do anything nor does anyone have a Gun pointed to your head. If that was the case, I would be talking to a corpse instead of a living person." With the AK-47 slung over his shoulders and the switchblade knife tucked into his Bulletproof vests front pocket, he waited to see and hear what the man would do next.

With a grumble and a groan, Alex removes the rifle from over his shoulder and slides it across the icy floor. He then removes the knife from his belt and the sshotgun from his back but keeps the magnum holstered in his belt.
"You can have those but I'm keeping this... You dare take any ammo from my guns or even fiddle with them in any way, you'll be sorry." Alex zips up his bag then slings it over his shoulder and adjusts it so it sits conformably.
"I'm not as niave as a child. I know and have seen the evil of this world before and during this mess".

Charlotte didn't think twice. As soon as she heard the word 'heater' she bolted towards the vehicle. Lottie looked over her shoulder to glance at Alex before hopping into the vehicle, a wave of warmth hit her and she shivered. She greeted the people in the vehicle with her, with a shy "hello.." Before finding a seat and making herself comfortable.

Hearing the man's continued protestations over giving up his weapons, Sarah walked over to him and held up a finger as if to say 'shut up' to him and repeated her words from earlier... "Sir, turn over your weapons right now. You will get them back as soon as you and the others - and yes, that includes Commander Smull here - are checked out at Medical; you have my word on it." Sarah's tone of voice and manner of speaking, she hoped, would convince the young man to give up his weapons for the time being. "Sir, the longer we stay out here, the faster we start turning into human popsicles and even though I'm from Detroit, I don't particularly relish that kind of feeling, so if you would please, hand over your weapons and come with us; you will get them back once your clear Medical."
