Kevin had been driving for days, he didn’t really know where to look first, all he knew was that he was going for big cities first. He would be able to find more people there, well he hoped that he would, so he could ask if they knew Vince. The negative side of that was that most big cities had more walkers, but he didn’t care all he wanted as to find his boyfriend. He was able to check out the bar where Vince had the bachelor party, but no trail of him there. So then he left Las Vegas and headed to New York, on the way he stopped at every useful place to find supplies. He found, gas in a abandoned garage, and lots of it too, so that wouldn’t be a problem. Then in an deserted police station he found a desert eagle, shotgun and some ammo, and also needed to kill his first dead guys. And last but not least a med kit, utensils, canned food and bottled water from he found at road restaurant.
After some days of driving he finally reached New York, which was now the big dead city. He drove and stopped at what looked like an old hotel, he stopped the engine, it wasn’t in the center of the city since he figured that there would be too many dead people.
“Well this will be my stop for the night, hate to clear such big things though.” Kevin said to himself as he took his wallet.
“But I need to seep safe, so I can search you.” He added as he looked at the picture of his family with Vince. “And then maybe my parents, I know I always rebelled, but I need to know if they are still alive.” Kevin said as a tear ran down his face. He missed everybody so much and what hurt the most was that he wasn’t with anyone close when it happened, he was all by himself. He whipped off his tear and put away his wallet. Then he grabbed his backpack and took his desert eagle. He left the shotgun and the rest of his luggage in the car for now. The car had an open roof, but it was way too cold, so it was closed. Kevin grabbed his keys got out and locked the car. “Better safe than sorry.” He said softly. Then he swung his backpack on his back and walked closer to the deserted hotel.
