Would it be possible to make a reference list of significant landscape changes? So if future players spring up in areas abandoned / previously gamed in, there would be continuity as to what can be seen?
For example, my character Franklin blew up the fuel refinery in Granite City, IL. There was massive flooding along the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers last year, in a world without emergency preparedness, much less control of locks and dams. Shit's tore up, y'all.
The villain stronghold I'm building for my character General Comstock *is* Ft. Leavenworth KS, with outposts in Nebraska and Missouri (Rosecrans Army National Guard Airfield). Both airfields (Leavenworth and Rosecrans are flood damaged, as are any aircraft if any.
Stuff like that. If Grady spraypaints "Grady wuz hear" on a wall in Kansas City, will a player character passing through KC see it?

I appreciate the thought behind it, but if I attempted to do this, it would take up all of my time trying to map and change. I think people just need to use their imaginations with it. I don't want to bog down threads with geographical, landscape descriptions.

I agree with Remy, it's consuming. But if something arises that conflicts with past history in an app, I often bring it up. If people had questions they could always ask as well.
