With the rooster sounding early in the morning and the sun rising in the horizon, a new day was set at Yankee Stadium. Already up and about before most people, Marcus had left his children in charge of the nanny to work in his office, where he now waited on Rose to arrive. Having received news about what had happened at the armory the day before, he now had made another major decision that hopefully would improve matters. Meanwhile those that woke up went to their workplace, where they had been granted a daily task from their superiors. The newcomers that had yet to receive one, was told to join a summit for more information. Once they were gathered, a stern old looking man stepped forward to speak.
“As is tradition here in our community, we all work together for the common good. Each and every one of us possess a skill, a skill that`s essential for us to thrive, be it good or bad. With that said, I have with me a list from which I now will read your determined role. When I read your name, we expect you to go to your designated position and report in to your superior. As a note, this is determined by what we know about you. If you don`t like it, or want it changed, come to me with your complaint.” He began and cleared his voice, adjusting his glasses before he began to read from the list.
“Shelby to the scavengers.
Craig to the guards.
Danielle to medical.
Alice to medical.
Tanya to the soldiers.
Rory to the builders.
Katie to the farmers.
Wade to the farmers.
Lewis to the scavengers.
Stacy to medical.
I will hang the list on the wall for future reference; this will be what you do every day.” The man finished and stuck the list to the board on the wall, making it available for them to go up and read.
Having recently appointed Lt. Byrne as his second in command and Damen as the new chief of security, he believed that the future looked bright, knowing that they both would take their part seriously. Claire was probably busy preparing a scouting party to investigate Jamestown, whereas Damen had his hands full making changes to the security. On the agenda for the day, they also had to figure out how to get Craig`s brother out from the museum, as well maybe send someone to look at Hamilton base that the Hive had sought to make an outpost. Then there was the issue with Hayes and Bennet, whom had returned in the middle of the night empty handed and at the cost of three lives. In frustration he had grounded them, but with the cover of the dark they left regardless to make up for what had happened. Serena who was the sister to one of the causalities was also gone, probably cause of some personal reason.
