Claira watched as Nina first flipped out and coursed what Jamestown Island was and then helped herself to the coffee she just made. Raising a brow, she crossed her arms around her waist as she then looked at Chester. "Would you like something to drink, maybe your lady would like something?" She would wait for a bit for the answer before making it. Then she made herself some Tea. Picking up the steaming hot tea, she sipped it as she lead everyone outside to her back yard. "Please, sit down." She gestured to the chairs around the one Marble table. Sitting down, she set her cup down onto it and pulled out from under her belt her container. Pulling out the Cigar, she lit it with her lighter and blew out a cloud of smoke that smelled like Clove. Leaning back in her chair, she looked at Nina, the lady who was being in the beginning. Thinking for a moment that she was strange that she went from being loud to being friendly from after one or two sips from the coffee offered. Clearing her throat, she would begin to talk to them as a whole.
"This is Jamestown. A Safe Haven for any who seek it. If at any time you feel like leaving or don't feel like you belong here, we aren't holding you against your will. So you can leave at anytime as you wish. But note when you do leave and you have picked out a place, that place will then be open for anyone else that wishes to move into it." Taking another drag from her cigar, she blew it out and kept going on. "Now, we have a few basic rules that you all need to follow while you live and stay here on the Island. The first one is this, Do not murder in Cold blood. If you do so, then you will be found and dealt with accordingly. Second, If you see someone who needs help, ask to give them a lending hand and actually see if you can help them out with what they are doing. Team work is the Key here to our survival. Third, Everyone needs a job on the Island. The jobs are posted outside of the Library you first ran into me at. Now since you all are new here, you will have a three day grace period in which you can get used to this setting of life style and have a look around the Island. When you decide to go out on a run, you find something you like, you get to keep it for yourself. Tend to your gardens for they will be one of your key resources of food. After this meeting, I'll take you around so you can pick your houses to stay at." Tapping the cigar on the crystal Ashtray, she looked at everyone with a smile on both her lips and in her eyes.
"Now, your all probably thinking that this is to good to be true. I assure you, this is one of the safest places around. We've all been here since the day of the outbreak three years ago. I mean yeah, we get a bunch of the unholy dead at our gates, but it's nothing we can't handle. With each tower supporting a .50 caliber machine gun and everyone allowed to carry they're weapons except in certain areas like the Hospital and the Schools. We have power from Solar panels on each of the buildings and on the other island that is attached to this one is Wind Turbines. So right now, I'll take any questions you folks may have or if you would like to introduce yourselves so I don't have to keep calling you all Misses and Mister." Taking in another drag off her Cigar, she slowly exhaled out the smoke from her nose.
