The Airfield at San SimeonOn the Pacific Coast Highway, just south of San Simeon
There's the turnoff, Tegan thought as she eased the Tundra off of the three-lane stretch of highway that marked California's main coastal highway, the border-to-border Pacific Coast Highway. Keying her shoulder mic as she made the turn, she said, "Okay, Scouts, we're going to rest up at the airstrip just ahead and then proceed up to San Simeon; remember to watch your sectors, everyone. We're in Indian Country, don't forget that. Leader 1 out."
Looking over at her wife, Tegan said, "Just about another mile or so and we'll be at our new home," glancing back at Bailey, who was busy watching over Tyler as he rested in a small bassinet in the back of the Tundra. Reaching over, she grasped Julie's hand and squeezed tight, adding, "Our long, long journey west is almost at an end, Peach," smiling as she spoke.
Just then - as if to break the reverie between them - the radio in the center-dash crackled. "Leader 1, Recon 1," came the voice over the radio. It was the head of the Scouts' recon team, Jason Kern, calling them. "We're at the airfield waiting for the ground convoy; you should see our smoke up ahead," he said; looking forward, Tegan saw the almost-lime green colors of the smoke grenades wafting through the air. "Recon 1, got your lime green in the windshield," Tegan replied.
"That's us," Recon 1 said. "Come on up." Looking over at Julie, Tegan quipped, "Hopefully, no one got lost on the way up here....do me a favor, Peach; call the other vehicles and make sure they're following us, okay?" giving Julie's hand another playful squeeze as they headed out to the airfield.
Julie smiled at the sound of a home.... A honest to goodnes home not just a stop along the way. They haven't had a home since The Hive. Julie thought back to her days at The Hive.... it seemed like a dream more than a memory. She almost had trouble picturing it. It was at Yankee Stadium where she first met her wife but it was The Hive where they defined their relationship, where their bond became permenant. It was there where Julie and Tamara saw their ultrasound, it was there and then during the ultrasound that Tamara proposed to Julie. So many happy memories that all felt like dreams.... So many people on this earth should be lucky to have such happy dreams anymore. She thought about this as Tegan radio'ed back and forth with Kern. The big viking popping smoke up ahead. The journey west was finally over. Julie had offered to ride with the sick. To keep an eye on them during the travles west. But Ace told her no. He said he would ride with them and keep an eye out and say a prayer for those in desperate need. Ace was a man of faith and his god pulled through for all of them as no one died on the way out here. It was finally over.. The nightmare of trying to make it cross country was over. Ace was wonderful, he had kept them all breathing and that in and of itself was a mircle. Dana and Ramona had made full recoveries and were back to their usual selfs. Tegan squeezed Julie's hand and told her to radio the other and find out if anyone got lost. She could hear the playful tone in Tegan's voice and it made her smile. She knew she was joking. Dam it was good to hear a joke from someone even if it wasn't particuallarly hysterical. Julie picked up her radio and keyed down the mic.
Julie: Alirght all you smilin happy faces back there. Lemme hear ya lovely voices chimin in to lets know ya all made it to Cali and ain't twiddl'n your thumbs somewhere lost out in bum fuck wherever the fuck.
Julie was dam near giddy at the idea of having a place to settle down and call home. No more travling. No more danger at everyturn. The world was still dangerous nothing changed in that regaurd but she just felt it in her gut that this place was going to be safer. It took them a few months to get here. With stops for food, medicine scavenging, getting off the road to avoid bandits and detours because of the dead ones it was a long arguious journey but it was over. Julie was smiling as she looked back at her kids... Bailey seemed to be intently focused on Tyler who was fast a sleep. Two months old. That boy was two months old and he was already so big. Julie couldn't help but smile bigger when she looked at him. Over the radio in her had she heard Dana chiming in from the rig with her wife Hannah. She heard Ace chimming in from the quarentined bus. She heard Jamal chime in with his group, Ramona and a bunch of others. Julie wasn't exactly taking a headcount but she laughed at every stupid remark that flooded her radio. It was good to hear so many in good spirits.
Dana: Umm.... What if we got lost but we don't know what "Twiddl'n" means. * Dana said making fun of Julie's Georgia Bell accent.
Julie: Dana girl, you want to riding with McGehee don't'cha?
Dana: God no, we're all good here JL ( Julie Lyell )
Ace: Aye, this lot smell like shite, we'll all be needin a shower soon i reckon but we made it in one piece darlin.
Ramona: We're good back here Julie, glad to be off the road soon.
Chance: Yeah.... We're good back here too, though whoever is in front of me in the convoy can't drive for shit.
Jamal stuck his middle finger out the window at Chance's comment and radioed in himself.... Everyone seemed to be in good spirits... Ali, the woman they found the night they left had even ran into an old friend, someone from her group before they got serpated and even her husband....Everyone seemed to be in high spirits. Everyone was ready to be done with the roadtrip. Everyone was ready for a new start in San Simeon...

Taking the lead of the Convoy, was The Long Nose Crimson Red Peterbelt. Hannah even had a Trailer she was hauling. In it she had some of the groups gear so that they all had room in they're vehicles. Even One Harley Davidson made it's way into the Trailer. It was still unclear how it had gotten there since she didn't have it shoved in there with the help of Bam and his crew. Smoking a cigarette, she saw the Green smoke up ahead. Nodding her head as she blew out some smoke. Flicking what was left of the Cigarette out of the window, she heard the chatter going on along the convoy. Picking up the mic, she keyed in the mic as she let her irish southern accent come out.
Hannah: JL and TL, Don't Mind Ace, he's just a little Cranky since i took his Booze away from his bloody hands again. It would be bloody impossible for me to get lost since I'm leading the way into the West Coast. Ready to let you take the lead whenever you arh' Tegan. Jenna: Jenna here, no one missed any turns. I'm still watching the rear of the Convoy as asked for.
Ever since Ali had found her friend and Husband, she seemed happy. Leaving Jenna in a Depression like state when she was alone. It was heard in her voice whenever she spoke in person or over the radio. She didn't seem like her happy go lucky self anymore. As if that person was gone and replaced with a darker version of Jenna. The only two that really know how she is feeling is Julie and Dana. Much like Dana, Jenna was also Immune to it. Lawrence, he had made a full recovery and was back to his normal self. He had taken the Note from Tegan's hands and read it himself. He knew what David meant and kept it to himself. It only made him want to get onto the road even more so.
Lawrence: We here Boss. Me and Quin here are enjoying a Good buzz. But I do have to agree with that Chance fella...Jamal, what the fuck is wrong with your fucking driving? My grandmother can drive faster then that and atleast gave hand gestures when she was about to break...followed up with her Screaming bloody murder at people who were at least 10 feet away from her Car.
Preacher: Recon 2 here, watching over head of you guys right now. I can see the smoke as well. Me and my crew will follow the rest of the way until you guys pull up onto the tarmac Scout Leader 1. But I can hear Jason on his end complaining on how long we are taking, stating and I quote. "I could have Beaten it off with Me viking Hands at least Five times by now and they still wouldn't be here yet." End quote.
Jason:...Traitor....hurry up Tegan....I don't think I'm the only one here. Clancy, keep your weapon ready. Wh-End of Transmission from Jason-

Masumi was listening to the transmission's from Who were called Recon 1 (Jason) and Recon 3 (Clancy)from what they were saying to each other, Recon 3 did a few fly by's over the air field south to San Simeon and was Waiting upon Recon 1 to show up to give her some cover. Looking at the map, she remembered the man who came to the road of San Simeon. He was exhausted and very much tired. He told them that his group was coming from New York looking for his 'Bosses' sister, then past out only a couple of days ago. Picking up her hand held, she pushed in the button. She was nervous but excited at the same time. This man known as David Forest was resting and only knew her Sarah as Haru and not Lyell, Tamara's Sister.
Masumi: Everyone, Everyone. We got company coming to the Air fields. Please assemble the welcoming comity. Sarah Love, you want to ride along with me in my S10? I'll be waiting out front for you then. Masumi, out.
Standing up, she straightened her skirt and smoothed out her dress shirt. Picking up her UMP 45 and sliding herself into the three point sling harness. Walking out of the Comm's room, she shut the door behind her and began to jog from the room down the hall and towards the staircase. David, he been asleep since he had arrived and no one has yet to wake him. From the looks of it, he hadnt slept in days. So they were letting him sleep for the time being until he was ready to get up on his own. Rushing down the staircase, she had to hurry. She didn't want her lovely wife to miss this. Once her left foot hit the floor, she was already at full sprint running for the door. Being the first one there, she opened the front doors and out she went. Jumping into her truck, she fired it right up and waited for everyone to start showing up so that they could head out.
An Air plane flew over head this time over them. A few moments later, it flew by again heading for the airfield. Masumi froze when she saw the iconic OH-58 Kiowa fly over head with a .50 caliber machine gun on it's side. Her heart froze as she was getting a bad vibe from this. She was hoping it wasn't anything to worry about, but a machine gun on a Recon helicopter? Times were tough when the dead threatened your way of life everyday. Turning the frequency to that of the RECON team, she heard a woman speaking. "Recon 3 is now on the ground." Then Recon 1 spoke, "10-4 Recon 3, making my approach now."
Julie had no idea. The whole group had no idea, that anyone was waiting for them at San Simeon. The reliefe they felt was that of just everyone being ready to be done with the trip. Tamara had her hopes to find her sister, but Julie really wished that she had tempered her expectations. She didn't want to have to consol her when she showed up broken hearted to find the place empty. The world didn't deliever you happily ever afters anymore, it was rare that you had a moment to smile sometimes but miricales like finding your long lost sister? The group had already lucked out more times than it should have on the way west. With them arriving casuality free since they left Bell Isle. Julie thought of her brother Brian. And didn't remember it with sadness but a smile. She was glad to have gotten to meet him howerever briefe it was. Miricals can happen she supposed. Julie looked over at Tamara and unable to resist she leaned over and kissed her wife on the neck. Bailey was in the backseat looking out the window admiring what was to be their new home. The best part, there wasn't a walker in sight! At least for the moment. At least the arrival was going to be nice and walker free. Julie looked back at Bailey.
Julie: Honey, make sure ya brother's alright. i don't see any walkers for the moment, but before we got pilin outta the car i wanna make sure he's changed. i don't want him cryin and bringing the dead down on us.
Julie looked back and saw the line of trucks behind them. She picked up her radio and pressed down the button.
Julie: Alright. in a few moments we'll be headin on over to where we'll be stayin. The flyboys are gone need a ride as they're leaving their birds at the airfield. We got room for Kern with us in leader one's truck, Ace, you make some room. Hannah since you're already up there in your rig..... I'd appreciate if you and Dana could squeeze some folks in there as well. It's only a short drive from here and everyone can stretch their legs and mosey about how they see fit. We made it people, lets not loose sight of the finish line though. Let's be about it people!
Julie let go of the radio and looked at her wife realizing that she had used her catchprhase she smiled again and sat back in her seat, just happy to be happy for happys sake for once.

Everyone, Everyone. We got company coming to the Air fields. Please assemble the welcoming comity. Sarah Love, you want to ride along with me in my S10? I'll be waiting out front for you then. Masumi, out.
Hearing Masumi's call over the radio, Sarah - who'd been going over kitchen inventories downstairs - rushed outside, her pistol at her side. She knew they would be having visitors soon - people from the East Coast, as their visitor David had told them a few days before - but David had no idea that his former boss was also Sarah's twin sister, Tamara Lyell. Won't that be a kick in the head? Sarah mused as she got to Masumi's S10 truck climbed, barely even getting her seat belt across her before Masumi stomped on the throttle, sending the light truck flying down the access road towards the airfield.
Listening to the radio traffic from what seemed to her like an armada of aircraft flying overhead - and after three-and-a-half years, anything flying seemed like an armada to Sarah - she wondered if the day of reunion had finally arrived, of being able to see her twin sister Tamara for the first time in over three years. Looking away for a bit, Sarah tried to picture what'd it be like to see her, wondering what had happened to Tamara in all that time and wondering how she - and the armada she was apparently bringing with her - had gotten from New York all the way to sunny California...

Hearing that last little bit over the radio gave Tegan pause and made her wonder if someone hadn't gotten there first or worse, were there hostiles in the area lying in wait...her fears were lessened when she heard them talking once more...
"Recon 3 is now on the ground." ....... "10-4 Recon 3, making my approach now."
Seeing Kern's helicopter setting down up-ahead definitely made Tegan feel better; smiling as she felt Julie kiss her gently on the neck, she turned and said, "Well, another half-mile and we'll be at our new home," turning to smile at both Baliey and Tyler. Looking back ahead, she pointed and said, "See, Peach, the Viking's waiting for us....," adding after noticing an S10 pulling up nearby, "and it looks like we've got a small welcoming party up ahead," reaching up to key her shoulder mic. "Hannah, go ahead and pull up along the access road so that the vehicle coming towards us can pull up nearby," Tegan said, releasing the shoulder mic as she brought the Tundra to a stop along the access road, the other vehicles coming to a stop along the road.
Then, as she watched the S10 coming to a stop, Tegan's eyes grew as big as saucers as she watched the people inside the light truck climb out. Oh my God.....oh my--, Tegan whispered to herself as she set the binoculars down. "Julie, I'll be right back," she said, giving her wife's hand one more playful yet heartfelt grasp before climbing out of the Tundra. Looking to make sure she wasn't seeing things, Tegan shook her head and smiled the biggest, happiest smile that she was sure anyone had ever seen on her. "Sarah!" Tegan yelled, waving towards her sister before taking off at a dead run, her twin sister doing likewise towards her as well.....eventually, Tegan ended up meeting her sister about halfway between their vehicles and gave her the biggest hug imaginable as three years of worries, fears, doubts, concerns and other sundry emotions came pouring forth from her. "After all these years, Sis, I can't believe you made it..." Tegan said as she continued to hug her sister, the tears flowing as freely as they could...and at that moment, she didn't care who saw her like that; it wasn't everyday you got to reunite with your immediate family, was it?

Masumi Drove the truck down the access road and saw a Black MD-500 Black bird flying over head of something. Then she saw a massive Convoy with a Ruby Red Long Nose big rig taking the lead. The rig along with the rest of the convoy pulled off to the side of the Access road and Masumi parked her truck on the opposite side of the road. The rest of the San Simeon Convoy stopped and followed Masumi and Sarah's lead as to where to park. Putting her truck into park and turning it off, she saw Sarah getting out real quickly. As Masumi was getting out, Sarah was already in a dead run and Masumi froze in her tracks. That was Tamara, almost Identical to Sarah. Her eyes were wide. Shaking her head, she followed behind and she saw Everyone of both Convoy's piling out and conversing to the two group leaders. Smiling as she came up to everyone, she stood behind Sarah, watching as the two long united sister's crying. Tear's began to fill in her eye's as she watched the heart felt moment. As she stepped closer, she saw a big man who looked like a Military Viking stepping up next to Tamara along with a few others.
Masumi felt nervous around this big of a group. She felt, Small to them all. Masumi's blue eyes saw a short black haired woman getting out of the big rig with a Blonde who was taller then her. The blonde had pulled herself so that she was now on top of the big rig. It seemed that the biker looking blonde had an eye patch and had alot of upper arm strength to pull that off. Walking closer, she cleared her throat to Tamara and the rest of her group. "T-Tamara, I'm Masumi, your Sister Sarah's second here at San Simeon and her Fiance. I would like to welcome you and your group to our home. Our home is now your Home. Welcome to San Simeon." She held a hand up to her to shake. Her cheeks flushed a bit as her Nervousness began to get to the better of her as she began to shake a bit as if in fear. Then she saw a red hair color woman coming through they're group. She was slender and carried an Enfield assault Rifle with nothing attached to it. A big booming voice came from the back of Masumi. "BOSSSS! YOU GUYS MADE IT FINALLY!" And, came David, running up to them. It seemed he had heard the excitement and wanted to greet them himself as well. Rushing up, he gave everyone a hug, Even Tamara. Masumi's hand went down as it seemed everyone was reuniting. Masumi sighed a bit as she stepped back a bit.
Julie had gotten out of the truck and taken off after Tamara when she started sprinting at the strangers across the way. Julie had not yet seen who it was that she was running towards. She only knew that Tamara was running to take them on head on and by herself.
Julie: Watch em!
Julie yelled out to Bailey as she bolted from the truck. Bailey undid Tyler from his seat and got out of the car as well. Everyone in the convoy was now getting out. She climbed out of the truck with her little brother and watched as Julie and Tamara ran to meet this new arrival. Julie was chasing Tamara but stopped when she saw Sarah. She stopped just short of the warm embrace and looked onward. Julie's hand rushed up to cover her mouth as her eyes began to water. She couldn't believe that this was actually happening, Julie took another step foward as she watched her wife hold her sister. The sister she had been missing for three years. Julie took another step forward. Her eyes moved over to Masumi who introduced herself as Sarah's fiance. Julie smiled at her and she heard Bailey say something behind her. She turned to see that she was holding Tyler, Julie took him from Bailey and held him against her chest. Her eyes returned to Sarah. She smiled warmly at her, but didn't want to interupt the reunion so instead she introduced herself to Masumi.
Julie: Pleased ta meet'cha sugar.... Guess that makes us almost family. I'm Tamara's secon here... And her wife. This here's Tyler, and that's Bailey. *Julie wrapped her arm around Masumi with one arm ( the one not holding Tyler ) and gave her a light embrace. She could tell she was a little overwelmed or nervous and she supposed that was understandable. Julie turned back to Sarah when the hugs between sisters stopped flowing * It's good to meet you too! I'm Julie, keepin this one outta messa trouble's full time job, i hope you got some good stories of yall growin' up for me.
Julie readjusted how she was holding Tyler in her arms so she had a better hold on him and couldn't keep the stupid smile off her face. She took her free hand and reaching down laced it through Tamara's fingers. She was beyond words at this point, it was a pretty emotional moment for everyone. She smiled politely and waited for her wife to dictate what happened next. She was sure that Tamara had a lot of catching up to do and if need be Tamara could catch up with Sarah and Julie could get the convoy and everyone to where they needed to be and get everyone settled.

Riding down the access road, Sarah listened to the radio when she thought she'd heard a familiar voice....that can't be, she thought, replaying the voice in her head before realizing exactly who it was speaking over the radio. Holy Zeus, it can't be, Sarah thought, watching as they got closer to the approaching convoy...it simply can't be, raising a hand to her mouth in abject disbelief. The last time I saw Tamara was nearly four years ago, before the world fell apart, she mused, and now I'm hearing voices; am I losing it? Am I suffering from some maddening hallucination or something?
Looking back at Masumi and then back at the approaching convoy, she kept as steely an eye on everything around them as they came to a stop along the access road; climbing out, Sarah saw that it was one helluva large convoy....but then, climbing out of one of the lead vehicles - a gunmetal-gray Toyota Tundra, by the looks of it - was someone she hadn't seen in years. "Tamara!" Sarah yelled, as loudly as her lungs could allow her to; taking off at a dead run, she ran as fast as she could, meeting her twin sister Tamara about halfway between the two groups. Tears began streaming down Sarah's face as she got to Tamara, getting the biggest hug she'd ever had and giving one back in turn. "Where...where have you been, Tamara?" Sarah said quietly, pausing to wipe away the tears. "I've missed you so damn much....," breaking down for a bit as she gave Tamara another hug, this time not caring who saw her crying.
As they stood there, a crowd of people began to gather on both sides, then Masumi cleared her throat and spoke to Tamara and her group. "T-Tamara, I'm Masumi, your Sister Sarah's second here at San Simeon and her Fiance. I would like to welcome you and your group to our home. Our home is now your Home. Welcome to San Simeon."
Seeing how nervous her fiance was, Sarah was about to say something when a loud, booming voice called out from behind them, having recognized his old boss from Back East....as the introductions and reunions seemingly went on forever, Sarah saw Masumi start to shrink back a little bit and gave her a comforting hug as one of the others in Tamara's group introduced themselves... Pleased ta meet'cha sugar....
"Nice to meet you, Julie," Sarah said, smiling at Tamara's wife and son and playfully waving at young Tyler as all of them stood there on the access road, the gleaming aircraft just off to the side to Sarah's right. Looking around, she said, "We'll get our vehicles turned around, then your people follow us up to San Simeon, Tamara, okay? The sooner we can get out of this exposed area, the better....around here, the hills are about the best protection against walkers and bandits you can have and the sooner we can get back up there," pausing to point up the access road before adding, "the better, so if you'll wait for us to get turned around here, we'll head up the road here, alright?"

Feeling like an ant, she had moved back a bit more until Sarah had stopped her. Her blue eyes saw Sarah looking at her with her heart warming smile and hugged her to try and comfort her. To try and help ease her tension because of her being so nervous. But it wasn't Tamara who caught her attention now, but a thin blonde who weaved her way through they're group and was now holding a baby in her hands. But instead of going to talk to Sarah first since she didn't want to interrupt the twin's reuniting moment, she turned her attention onto Masumi. "Pleased ta meet'cha sugar.... Guess that makes us almost family. I'm Tamara's secon here... And her wife. This here's Tyler, and that's Bailey." *Julie wrapped her arm around Masumi with one arm ( the one not holding Tyler ) and gave her a light embrace. She could tell she was a little overwhelmed or nervous and she supposed that was understandable.* Smiling even more so after the hug and meeting the two young ones, she waved at them both. Masumi would speak in her language to the little ones. "Kon'nichiwa. (Hi there) O ai dekite kōeidesu. (It's a pleasure to meet you)" But flushed a bit when she gotten a confused look, or three to ten. "Hi there, it's a Pleasure to meet you." She would say as she corrected herself.
Julie turned back to Sarah when the hugs between sisters stopped flowing. "It's good to meet you too! I'm Julie, keepin this one outta messa trouble's full time job, i hope you got some good stories of yall growin' up for me." When it seemed that Julie was now talking and keeping the attention of Sarah for a bit, Masumi slipped back a bit from the mass of the crowd. It was starting to make her feel uncomfortable again. Taking a few steps back and now half way back to her truck, she had heard the plan to they're vehicles turned around and lead the convoy up the path. Nodding her head and knowing that her and Tamara haven't introduced each other yet felt a bit, Saddening to her since she was hoping to meet the famous outlaw sister of her soon to be wife. Masumi would be seen walking back to her truck and opening the driver side. Reaching in, she pulled out a cigarette from her pack and her bic lighter. Lighting it up, she blew out the jets of smoke from her nose as she looked at the ground. She hated to be shy and nervous around new people, and with the scale of how much there was at one sitting, it was frightening to her. Leaning against the the side of her truck, she wrapped one arm around her own waist as she lifted her one hand and took another drag from the cigarette.
Julie watched as Masumi quietly slipped away and headed back to the truck. Well, ok then. She thought quietly to herself. I best do the same. Only Julie wasn't used to doing things quietly she was a firey loud mouth and in her element. She was a bit of a social butterfly. She became and EMT because she loved people, and helping people. She wasn't one to get shy, but she was following Masumi's lead and leaving the sisters to their reunion and taking care of the boring menial things for them so they could just be fo a moment. Julie turned around with a baby in her arms and almsot ran directly into Ace who was smiling his ass off for some reason. It wasn't the sisters reunion he was smiling about he was looking in Masuimi's direction. Julie followed his train of logic and then reached up and grabbed him by his ear and yankeed him downwards as he was a little taller than she. She pulled him so that his ear was right by her mouth.
Julie: That girl that you're undressin with your eyes just now, that's my new sister-in-law you irish horn dog. Try and behave yourself.
As she pulled on his ear she pulled him away. Away from the Lyell's so he wouldn't interupt a truely beautifuil moment with his stupidity. Julie let go of his ear and started rounding up a few people to help. She handed off baby Tyler to Thomas, the head of their personal security team. He seemed a bit at ease with Tamara's sister being an exact twin he seemed a bit more relaxed than on gaurd. Julie turned to Thomas.
Julie: Thomas i want'chu to watch Tyler while i get everyone in third gear ok? *Turning to face the rest of the scouts and scavengers while he wife was busy just out of earshot but still withing sight, as julie had made he way back to the convoy* Alright people, we made it. This is our home now. I know yall had a hell of a hard ride, each and everyone one you has a right to be exhausted. But we just need you to ride a little longer so that we're all safe. We can then kick off our shoes and enjoy some pina colladas and mie ties what'cha say... You think we can move this dam convoy just a bit further up the way?
Dana, who had climbed out of the rig to get a closer look at Boss and her sister stepped up behind Julie. She put a hand on Julie's shoulder and hugged her lightly. She was happy for the two leaders of the group. During the hug she whispered in Julie's ear.. " I can't believe she's real." Pulling back a bit Dana smiled at Julie.
Dana: When we get there and get settled, i'll keep a eye on this crew off monkeys so you and boss can have some time alone . You both have done alot for us and we're really greatful.
Per Julie's request everyone left the sisters to their moment and got back in the convory. Julie looked over to Thomas who was still holding Tyler and she took her son back into his arms as he began to get fussy. He was tired and needed to be put down for his nap soon. She nodded at Dana before motioning to Thomas as if to say. "You're with me." Julie walked over to where her wife was. She stopped for a moment and gave Tamara a kiss as she bounced Tyler lightly. Trying to get him to stop crying. It wasn't working. Rather than have him crying out in the open, which made her nervous. Julie thought she'd try and catch a ride back to San Simeon now instead of waiting. Bailey had followed Dana it was just Julie and Thomas who wasn't going to leave her side.
Julie: Babe i don't like it when he cries when we're out in the open. Even with this many people round. Ima catch a ride back now, get him settled in. Take your time, i'll see you back at the house? *Julie paused a moment to note just how odd that sounded. It felt great saying it but it just sounded like such an odd sentence to her ear* I love you.
Withouth waiting for Tamara's reply Julie headed off to where Masumi had went to. She saw the cigerette and smiled politely waiting for it to be finished, which by the looks of it it almost was. Julie wouldn't mind a cigerette herself, but she had the baby. Julie shhh'ed Tyler as he continued to cry, but stopped when Masumi turned his direction. He actually started to settle.
Julie: He's tired, i figured i could catch up on my grown up conversations later i gotta put little man down to rest up. Can we catch a ride with you? *Julie noticed that Masumi had noticed Thomas and knowing she was a bit nervous around all the new people Julie spoke up* Oh, this is Thomas he's part of me and Tamara's personal security team, he can ride in the back. Give us girls a minute to chat.

Masumi kept smoking the Cigarette, not paying attention on what was going on with Tamara's group, almost finished with her Cigarette, she took one more hit off it and heard Julie talking to her. Turning her head to look at Julie who was carrying little Tyler in her arms and a man that was tall who's name was Thomas. Nodding her head, she went to the back of the truck and opened the tail bed for him so he could climb into it. One last puff and exhaling the smoke, she dropped it on the ground as the sounds of Vehicles firing up, doors closing and people getting into everything. She spoke to her side of the group. "Ok everyone, lets get this show on the road. Pastor, Paul and Larry. Make room for if anyone can't squeeze into they're convoy." Once Thomas was in, she would close the Tail gate and get her thin body into the driver seat where she was already met by Julie getting in.
Turning on the truck, she reached out and took Tyler into her arms while Julie put on her seat belt. Handing the little bundle of joy back to his mother, she shifted the truck into first gear and pulled forward. Driving onto the run way, she got a good glimpse at the aircraft and was amazed that such machines were still around and in perfect working order. Turning around with they're line of Vehicles behind them and David taking the rear of Tamara's convoy, Masumi took the lead shifting into second gear and drove up the access road. "I'm Glad you guys have shown up. Sarah was getting worried that Tamara was gone. But she kept praying for her to show. She always kept hope that her twin sister would come to her. And...that day has come. Ironic part is, Me and Sarah are getting married soon on the Beach later on in the month. We will hold off until you guys are fully secured into your new home. We have the main Castle and the two mansions. If we need more room, then I will lead a team into the City and see about bringing back some RV's and mobile homes back. Want you guys to be as comfy as could be." Shifting into third and trying to keep the ride as smooth as she could.
"I've been with Sarah's group for a little over two years now. She was actually the one who found me wondering around in a convenient store. Sarah brought me back to San Simeon and thats the day I fell in love with her. A few weeks ago, she told me that she had the same feelings for me since she had met me. That night, we spent time together, she then Proposed to me. Asking me to be her Wife, even if I'm not fully...-Masumi hesitated a moment as she was trying to find the right words to say.-...a female...." Her face lit up like the fourth of July. Her cheeks turning into a dark shade of red as she blushed.

Brianne sat at a desk in one of the rooms of the main building of the resort, looking over an advanced microbiology textbook with her chin and jaw supported lazily on one hand, the other lightly tracing the words in a sentence on one of the pages. Her eyes remained keen on the contents of the book, but her concentration broke when she heard the faint sound of a vehicle outside, and leaned upwards enough to see out the window nearby to see what the commotion was about. Climbing to a stand, she brushed aside a few strands of her jet-black hair out of her face and tucked it behind her left ear before opening the window and leaned forward with her arms crossed atop the sill, allowing herself sufficient room to see as well as hear what was going on. Strangers, it seemed, and she may not have wanted to get to be around them this time around. She's been left to her own devices lately, Sarah seemed to have not paid as much attention to her lately.
With a sad sigh, she shut the window again and returned to her research. She wasn't adept with biology, like nerd-like adept, but with how much time she's been studying, she's been getting a slow-but-gradual grasp on it. She was at the point where she may want to commit to an actual study of a part of the undead, but she lacked the proper equipment. Shaking her head a bit after a couple hours of study, she shut the book after saving its page, and crossed her arms beneath her before resting her head on them, her eyes closed, and just rested there, quiet as a calm night.
For a good couple of minutes Julie didn't know what she ment, and then finally.... Her brain decided to start working giving her some clarity.
Julie: Oh. Ohhhhhhh. Oh sugar, did you think that was going to bother me? *Julie smiled a genuien smile at her.* You just be yourself honey and we'll get on like two chipmonks sitting in a tree. You have no idea how happy i am to find you and Sarah here..... I ......*Julie didn't realize at first but she was about to just blurt out about her two brothers were dead and the wounds were still fresh* We've all lost alot * Julie said looking down at the floorboard while adjusting Tyler in her arms as he began to get a little sleepy* It's really good to know i have some family left. *Julie moved her free hand to Masumi's and squeezed her fingers lightly. She looked up and smiled at her before she added.* We're family now. Don't make no never mind to me if your 100% a female.
Julie pulled her hand back and used it to brush away the loose strands of hair that were falling into her face. She quietly rocked Tyler as she gently sang to him. It was motherly soft voice that was soothing and sweet and made sweeter by her thick georgia accent.
Julie: You can find another one willin to love you right. You can search all night long for somebody to hold you tight. You can close your eyes..... and whisper how one day you'll find the light of your life.... But as long as you'll ever live your mother will be at your side.... * Julie began to humm the tune of the song she was making up as she went along it was lyrical and beautiful and she was just trying to get him to sleep, and it was working. But she expressed how she felt about her son. He was part of what little family she had in this world with the loss of her two brothers and now Masumi was part of that family. Julie noticed Tyler had fallen asleep. She looked at Masmui and whispered* I thank he's asleep. Can i borrow on of'ya smokes when we get there?
Julie was very comfortable around Masumi. She didn't know how Masumi had felt about her, but Julie felt as if she had known her all her life and saw that inside she was a beautiful person and it didn't matter to her what parts made up that person, a person with a kind soul now days was rare and it was always nice to have..... Especially family.

As the two Convoy's met up with each other, Jon had the MD-500 hovering over them at 75 feet up in the air with his right side aimed towards the smaller convoy that came down the access road. Looking down, he had his new Co-Pilot giving him updates of what was going on. When it was mentioned that Tegan was hugging what looked to be a twin. Turning the helicopter around, he flew the black bird towards where the Kiowa had landed. Lowering gently, he set the helicopter down and began powering it down. Everyone began to pile out of the black bird leaving Preacher back at the Bird. When everything was good to go, he unstrapped himself from the seat and climbed out of the cockpit. Grabbing his gear, he placed the rifle over his shoulder and held onto his duffel bag. Walking casually over to the rest of the group. But the time he had reached them, everyone was already starting to head out. Now in a brief run, he ran to the big rig that Hannah was driving and opened the passenger door to only see that Dana was coming up behind him and inside, Hannah was now sliding into the Driver seat.
In the back was Wolverine and someone else from Jason's helicopter on the floor in the sleeper. Tossing his bag into the sleeper section, he slid his body back out of the truck and held onto the handle of the exhaust stack allowing Dana to climb in. Once she was in, he would shut the door for her and held on for dear Mercy. Once the San Simeon group was starting to roll up the path after turning around, Hannah turned on the rig and began to have the massive Behemoth of a Vehicle with Trailer in Tow up the road following right behind the last Truck. It was odd to see the Marine standing on the side of the truck with his sniper rifle slung over his back and his side arm out. He looked like an Iconic figure, like he was part of a charge in a movie. The journey up the road wouldn't take long, but with how slow the leading truck was actually taking since it had Julie and baby Tyler, it would give Jon the time to take in the view of California. He could smell the sea water in the air. A glorious scent it was indeed. Thinking for a moment, he remembered how the Boss liked her history. So he holstered his firearm and picked up his Radio. Keying in the button, everyone would hear Jon yell out.

As the combined convoy - Sarah's group and Tegan's Scouts - headed up the access road to San Simeon, Tegan felt like she were on Cloud Nine. We finally made it, she thought, the biggest brightest smile on her face as followed the lead vehicles up towards their new home...and now I know how Xenophon and his 10,000 felt when they saw the friendly waters of the Mediterranean all those centuries and centuries ago, she mused as San Simeon began to slowly take shape in front of them....
San Simeon from East to West facing South; the Main Gate is just outside the bottom right corner of the above picture
My God in heaven, Tegan whispered, that's one huge palace; keying her shoulder mic, she spoke...."well, there's our new home, ladies and gentlemen. As soon as we get parked, I want team leaders to assemble outside the front entrance of the castle there so that we can start organizing everything....this is our new home, folks....," letting the shoulder mic drop as she put her mind back to driving up to their new home.....welcome home, she thought to herself...welcome home.
{seeing as i wasn't informed of this post until after it started. I just kinda skimmed and made a post. So hopefully its all okay.}
After the sickness spread, there were losses to some of the people in the group. For him, though the person he actually gave any fucks about made a full recovery. His stubborn ass stayed with her the whole time and he did get a touch of sickness but recovered fully with her. The trip had been quite long but they eventually made it to California which had been the goal he supposed. Samuel just wasn't really in tune with this group and preferred to keep his circle small. He did anything asked of him but for the most part, he didn't get caught up with people. He didn't really want the attachment to a group in this world.
He hadn't really planned to stay with these people until he found Ramona with them. He was still searching for his daughters but things had been delayed when he found her. He couldn't really explain his draw to the woman but somewhere under the narcissistic asshole exterior he truly cared for her. He stayed in the vehicle with Ramona and eventually he heard over the mike that they were closing in on a new home. The timing couldn't have been any better because man was his ass going numb.
His eyes fell on this giant place that would be their new home. It looked like a god damned palace straight out of a fairytale. Leaning into Ramona's ear he smirked. "Pumpkin looks like we got a whole new mess of closest's to break in." He whispered in a cocky tone before he sat back to avoid being hit. He just loved to ruffle those feathers of hers because it always ended great for him.
The few lives that were lost were tough on everyone. But thankfully i was only a few people who perished. A group this large it was a good thing it wasn't more. The fact of the matter was.... They had been lucky and sooner or later luck ran out. Ramona didn't have any family waiting for her out west. Her only family was buried in a pile of metaphorical rubble back at what was left of the hive. The sad thing was. It didn't matter to her because of Samuel, because of Tegan and Julie and Dana and the others. She had family here. Right here. These people were her family and though she played the role of the bitchy outcast who had no friends she secretly cared for each and every one of them. She wouldnt' show it, it wasn't her nature to be emotional, to show her feelings, that's why it was so cathartic those few tender moments with Samuel when she could break down be valunerable. She couldn't be stone all the time. She sat quietly in the passenger seat, she had opted to let meathead drive. The fact was she was just glad to be alive. She had gotten pretty sick and if it wasn't for Ace's irish idiot ass she'd probably be dead. Ace saved Samuel and Ramona's lives. Ace wasn't sick, the lucky prick didn't even so much as get a stuffy nose, but he stayed in the quarentine vehicle with everyone to make sure they didn't loose anyone along the way. And after they were better Ramona and Samuel took over one of the trucks and drove in the convoy, not wanting to recatch whatever it was they just got rid of. Ramona sat quietly in awe of the sheer size of the mansion that was to be their new home. Fucker beds me a few times and now i'm moving in with him, jesus fucking christ she thought. But it put a smirk on her face. Hell, for some reason, though he drove her freaking crazy sometimes he always put a smirk on her face. Something about his fucked up skewed perspective was always so amusing to her. And fight all she wanted she felt something for him to. She quietly wondered in the back of her mind if he was really staying. If he would run off to find his kid. Didn't he have a daughter or something like that? She supposed that if he wanted to leave, she would follow. Not like anyone here would totally miss her if she left, but ..... She would miss them. Ramona bit her lip as these depressing ass thoughts dominated her mind until Samuel said something that snapped her out of her funk. Something about breaking in closets and she glared at him. How is it that someone who was probably locked in a closet as a child was so dam eager to climb back into one??
Ramona: If you don't shut up i'll lock you in that dam closet and leave you there! So...... What's the plan with you anyways.... *Ramona said leaning forward and looking up, through the windshield at the towering mansion* Are you staying with us or what? * She said not taking her eyes off what was to be their new home..... At least for the moment*

The feeling of Julie's hand gently squeezing Masumi's shifting hand. Turning her head a bit, she looked at Julie and smiled at her. Then turned her attention back to the road as she gently made a turn and showed Julie her new home. The castle and mansion's were now in sight and Tamara came over the radio. When Tamara was done, she lifted her's and said. "Larry, Paul, and Pastor. Park our vehicles in the back so that Tegan's group has more room for they're group to park and unload they're gear and people." Pulling through the drive way, Masumi's truck was the first vehicle to go through. Pulling into the back parking lot, she parked in the further portion of the parking lot. E-brake and turning off the engine, she pulled out her pack of Cigarettes, looked inside and just set the pack down on the seat.
"I hope you guys enjoy your stay here. I'm the one who heard your guys transmissions. When you are ready Julie, I'll gladly show you to you and your wife's bedroom. You'll be next to me and Sarah's bedroom on the fourth floor." Her Icy Blue eyes watched little Tyler as he slept in his mother's arms. Smiling, she gently ran her fingers across his soft hair. It was a beautiful child that she had. Still smiling, she looked out the windows and saw the vehicles pulling along her's and heard the people making they're move to the front of the Castle. Except for two still, because Hannah was pulling into the service way for big rigs making Deliveries. Hannah Jumped out and dropped the legs to the trailer and unhooked it. She gotten back into it and pulled the rig around front where she parked the rig.
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you

Luca Sultana: Really sad how this website went from being so active, with dozens and dozens of daily users, to a ghost town. We had so much fun here especially from like 2013-2018. What a fun few years. I probably won’t log in after this. Take care, everyone!
