When William lifted his shirt to show her the mottled bruising she gasp. Her hand covering her mouth as she stared at the supposed work of her husband. “My god William…I’m….I’m so sorry…” And then he started to leave, Fable turned. Trying to catch him before he disappeared. “Its not what you deserved!....It was my fault..” And then she fell quiet. She didn’t know what she could do…how to do it….but if this was true and Cedric did have a more dangerous side to him as William spoke of then was she truly safe? Was Darynn?.....She couldn’t imagine him harming the child, he seemed as if he truly loved her….But what if this was all just an act and she had become an unwilling pawn?
William kissed her cheek and left, leaving a very confused and torn Fable. It could be a ploy by William….but….bruises didn’t lie. Cedric was so calm and restrained….what if there was a lion lurking just beneath the surface of his poised disposition? With Darynn still under the watchful eye of a maid Fable decided to seek Cedric out. She would have to play her hand carefully to try to keep this from coming back to William….again….But she needed to know that the man she had feelings for was real.
She found him at the table, seemingly deep in thought. There was a blade stabbed into the wood before him, not something unusual really…But when you were about to question someone it could be a bit worrisome. “Cedric…”[/i] She said softly as she came up behind him. She leaned in to kiss his cheek and then his lips. It was so difficult for her to picture him as the monster William painted him as…but…maybe he wasn’t? She was so conflicted and confused, and that was a truly horrible feeling. She nibbled his ear, one of her hands sliding under the collar of his shirt. She needed time to figure out how to ask him what she needed to know….needed to hear it from him.
The others hadn’t arrived yet….and so the ever timid and shy Fable hesitantly sat on Cedric’s lap. Her lips moved to his neck. “…where did you disappear to?” She ask, her lips moving against his skin.
