(OOC: Unless there's any objections, I'm going to go ahead and post as if everyone in the thread is back together in one group so that we can get the thread finished up.)
As the Blackhawk made its way down, Major McKenna could see Lenka and her team running towards them; waving towards them, she yelled out, "Come on, come on!". Seeing the chopper almost on top of them, McKenna tapped one of the other soliders on the shoulder. "Corporal, pop smoke now," she said to him; moments later, a cloud of smoke began to rise from their position.
"Cueball, this is Blackhawk, I have your grasshopper green in sight," the Blackhawk pilot called out over the radio, signifying that they could see the smoke grenade underneath them.
"Copy, Blackhawk, I confirm the green smoke," McKenna replied over the radio; handing the handset back to her RTO, she signaled to the others, "That's our ride, let's go!" Everyone trotted over to the Blkachawk and climbed aboard, the rotor wash feeling as to McKenna as if someone had turned on a small wind machine, mixed in some dust and dirt and blasted it at all of them. Once aboard, she did a quick check to make sure everyone was on onbard before signaling to the pilot, "Take us up, take us up!"
As the Blackhawk took up almost in a dead vertical liftoff, McKenna took off her helmet and put on her headset. "Pilot, as soon as we're about a klick away from Rikers, go ahead and fire off the Hellfires', two on the bridge and four on the Armory. Gunners, go ahead and burn off your ammo; Rikers' is now a free-fire zone, so have at it." Leaning back against the bulkhead separating the rear cabin from the Blackhawk's cockpit, McKenna looked around and smiled at everyone; in her mind, they'd done what they needed to do....now, they needed to get back up the Hudson and back to West Point as fast as the Blackhawk could carry them.
