Hearing all the radio calls from her team leaders, Tegan looked up at the sky and caught sight of some nasty-looking storm clouds coming in from the north, wondering just how bad these storms could be...can't be as bad as what we got back east, she thought. Watching her TLs' walk over and sit down around her - Dana and Hannah, sitting together as always; Bam & Knoxville, they of the perpetual humorous attitudes; Jason kern, the Scouts' reconnaissance leader; Dave England, he of the perpetual scowl and Chris Pontius, he of the "I can climb anything!" attitude.
Acknowledging all of them, Tegan looked at each of them before speaking. "Before I say anything, put what happened with Dalton Miller earlier out of your minds now; I'll decide what happens to him," re-telling the events from earlier for everyone to know (which was important since neither England or Pontius knew what had happened).
"As for now, we've got the freedom of the Island for as long as we need to get ourselves rested, recuperated...everything we need to do to get ourselves back in fighting shape. Tomorrow, weather permitting," looking over at Kern a moment, "you're going to get to see me fly a helicopter for the first time in three years...yeah, I know: scary thought, but still, we're going up so that I can get an aerial view of what they've accomplished here. Unlike what we did with our outposts back in new York, from what they've said, they've actually cleared space west of the Detroit River and are holding their ground over there...and with far fewer people than the Hive ever had at its' maximum...
"Anyway, I also hear the food's pretty good here, so as soon as we break off here, go on inside to the dining area and grab some food....now," looking over at both Dana & Hannah, "as I understand it, Hannah, there's something you and Dana need to do outside the wire...permission granted, you two. Only thing I ask from the two of you is that you keep in contact with us every twelve hours you're out." Rubbing the bridge of her nose, she added, "unless there's anything else, let's get everyone settled in and get inside before those ugly-as-hell storm clouds get here, so let's be about it, people...."
