The group had arrived at Bear Lake, the rest of the group were already outside meanwhile Emyr found himself in the RV, taking the longest time to exit a vehicle known to man. He had decided that now was the perfect time to reorganise his backpack. Emyr thought he could use this as an excuse he could use to delay himself from meeting any new survivors, but this way he could do so in a productive fashion. Taking his time, the man knew that he couldn't delay going outside any longer. The man timidly made his way out of the RV.
The first thing he noticed was Bear Lake. Emyr covered his mouth in shock, the place was burnt to a crisp. The group had made such a long journey from Texas for nothing, or at least that was what he believed. He could see Lara and Wyatt heading towards the burnt gate, Emyr was hesitant about going inside. "Somebody needs to stay by the vehicles, surely." Emyr whispered to himself. He wasn't alone at the vehicles though, he could see Mason and a new blonde. Brilliant, they weren't alone. Everybody had their weapons ready, he had no idea what was going on but he felt obligated to copy everyone else, so he grabbed his pistol from his holster. The man stood awkwardly by the RV, he would stay back unless he saw the others were desperately in need of help from him. The man hoped they would face no conflict, but he remained very doubtful.

Dakota nodded, having time enough to answer Nic without Scott giving one for her. "Yeah-huh. Uh, the woman on horseback probably did. So its safer to say the others did too. I hella hope they're not the people that... wiped out this campground."
She couldn't help but feel that she had jinxed them all by saying that out loud. Because of course it would be bandits dangerous enough to burn a whole community to the ground. It had to be trigger happy madmen back in Texas, like it had to be cannibalistic cultists in Denver. By that track record, it only make sense to be beset by omnicidal maniacs next. Dakota called quietly after Nic, Clem and Scott, "Make sure ALL of you get to the lake... if you have to signal trouble."
Watching them go, Dakota gripped her rifle tight and made sure to stay alert. She would need every minute she could get for guiding María and Becky with Mikey and the babies safely to the lake.
Clementine took the binoculars, murmuring to them, "Please show me some friendly faces." The hope behind her plea was real, if not strong.
As she turned to follow Nic and Scott out, Clem considered Koda's voiced fear of these arrivals being the bandits responsible for Bear Lake's destruction. Her immediate and suspiciously swift reaction was was a retort even she didn't have full confidence in. "I do hope it's a Tala or Tori. And why would the bandits even come back?"
Rather than answering or letting anyone answer that, Clem offered a smile meant to reassure herself as much as to was meant to reassure Koda and the others. "Don't worry so much, just be ready." She gave a little wave before turning to follow Scott to where he and Dakota had watched the arrivals.
Scott lead the way to a burnt out ruin for cover. He would have lead them further, but he spotted the others just starting to wander in. The teen waved to Clem and Nic and pointed toward the burnt out gate from beside the burnt wall he had brought them to, his voice lowered.
Scott: "They're coming in."
Clem jogged up to the corner of the ruin and knelt down to take the low end of the corner to peer around. There they were, still a little too far away to be sure, but that barely glowing ember of hope she'd sprang into nervous excitement.
She stayed crouched and moved along behind the standing burnt wall ruin to peer up over what had been a window. Clem put Nic's binoculars to work, getting a closer look through them. There it was for sure, Tala, Wyatt, a girl about her or María's age whom she didn't know, a man she didn't know, another man back by the RV that she wasn't she knew or not, and the woman she didn't know. She assumed the only woman she didn't know had to be the on horse earlier. Clem was excited and anxious at the same time. Tala and Wyatt were alive and just down by the gate there. Yet the strangers they were with could spell trouble for everybody.
Clem waved Scott over to the ruined window. They traded the binoculars and forth, while Scott pointed out which ones he and Dakota had seen get out of the RV and ambulance that had pulled up together. Only one of those people who didn't come with Tala , and according to Scott's recounting had weapons drawn on Tala's people back at the gate. That woman on horseback just might be one of the bandits Dakota had feared this group of arrivals would turn out to be.
Clem thanked Scott and told him that woman was the only one he had to keep an eye on. Scott crept back to his corner of the ruined wall to peer around the corner, and Clem waved Nic over to the ruined window. She offered him the binoculars, "I don't know the odds of your brother and our Wyatt being the same Wyatt, but our Wyatt's down there if you want to look. Tala is there too! But there's a girl about María or my age, one man I know I don't know and another man I'm not sure if I know or not."
She described Mason as the man she absolutely didn't know and Emyr as the man she wasn't sure about knowing from this far, even through binoculars. She continued, "Then there's the blonde woman I don't know. But I saw man I kind of know come out of the RV myself, and Scott said the blonde woman was the one on horseback. She was the only one who didn't come with our family down there. So if we let them know we're onto them, they'll have to back off. I'll just make sure they think there's a lot more of us."
Without coming out of cover she called out to the new arrivals "Tala!! Wyatt!! You're alive!! Don't worry, we've got you covered! You! Horse lady. Weapons on the ground! Hands in the air! Tell any hiding friends of yours to back off! You're not going to take us or our friends like you took this camp! We're the Canejos de Vampiro and we never miss a shot, so I wouldn't push it if I were you."
There were cartoonish faces of vampire rabbits graffitied on the ruined walls here and there, so the threat of other members of a youth gang being hidden somewhere among them could be credible.

María didn't know if she should be excited or scared. Dakota and Clementine had been promising the possibility of meeting the rest of their adopted family for so long, she didn't she wasn't so sure she wanted it to be true. She grown to accept Koda, Clem, Nic and Lee as hers. Even Scott, Mikey, Becky and Tina were working their way into her heart in their own way. Despite the time she had spent helping Becky, the newest four kids to the group still seemed more their own sub-family to her.
The idea more people from Clem and Koda's past coming back, felt like they might be stealing her new family away from her. If she had gotten to know these people just a couple months earlier, it would have been no problem. So she didn't really say anything before Clem, Nic and Scott went off.
When they were gone Dakota handed María her gun, and María tried to refuse it as she had nearly every time one of of the older girls or Nic may have tried to coax her into getting used to carrying one again. The nightmare she had while taking care of Lee back at the Hyatt Regency in Denver would leave her alone.
It took a surprisingly terse tone from Dakota for her to even begrudgingly hold it. If there was bad news waiting by the burnt out gates, she might really need it to get the lake. Looking at the gun she held limply in her right hand, she plucked the silver crucifix hanging around her neck into her other hand. She squeezed it tight and prayed for forgiveness and for Clem, Nic and Scott to be safe and find nice people out there. She rather face losing her new family to old friends than accidentally shooting one of them.
María was a not so bad a shot in her practice. She was still convinced in the back of her mind that no matter how well she aimed, the bullet she fired would find a way to hurt someone she cared for. She added in a prayer that she wouldn't have to shoot, just to be safe.
((And I'm back. I'm sorry for being so long. -.- There was one vacation in there, but I didn't expect even that to interfere. Then everything just ran away with moving. Anyway, none of that matters, hopefully it won't spiral my time out of control again.))
A tension came into the air and Harper shifted her attention for a small moment to the brunette woman of this group. She seemed a little unhappy about her being so forward and flirting. In the days before the apocalypse she would've just smiled and winked at her but now she let it go. Turning her attention back to the man in front of her he spoke his name and said that was all she would know for now. 'Fair enough' she thought to herself and smiled winking at him. "I promise no tricks outta me hunny." Her expression sincere as she prepared for whatever was out there.
Her eyes scanned the gates as they were headed in and what she heard next was the voice of a girl. Sounded like a child to here but you could never be too sure these days. "Sweetheart where ever you are. If I had wanted to harm your friends I could've done it without them even knowing what hit them. I'm not here to take your camp I have my own home. I live alone in boulder and I'm just here to hunt." She spoke in a soft tone but loud enough for the girl to hear her.
Turning to Wyatt she offered him her crossbow and Revolver. "Here ya go handsome. Don't really want to get shot by your little warriors out there. I got plans to live for a while and get to know ya." She turned and pointed to the direction where her horse went. A tent and the animal could be seen. "Check my camp. I wouldn't hurt kids or anyone unless they tried to hurt me first. If there is anything out there I will have your back." She spoke sincerely and glanced around looking for the mystery voice.

They were coming, through the gates. "I doubt it's the people who brought this place down. But it's possibl. We need to expect the unexpected." He looked through the scope of the the rifle. First over the RV, the two men beside it. They didn't look hostile, but neither were Wyatt. He saw a little girl, thst was always promising. She didn't look like a captive either. So far it was promising.
His eyes scanned the woman who rode in on horseback. She had weapons, lots of them, and seemed to be t distance from the others. They didn't look at her the same, watched her movements as Nic had watched Soctt's when he first joined. It was possible she wasn't on good terms with them, or she was new. He guessed the later.
Flicking the scope the last female, she seemed young, younger than Nic. She walked in like she owned the place. So,etching was on her mind, he didn't trust her. He continued up and stopped, setting his scope on the last man. His back had been turned, talking to the horse lady. But when the male figure turned Nic froze.
It was Wyatt, weathers and beaten, but it was Wyatt. He did all he could not to drop the gun, a smile on his face. He wanted to shout out, wanted to run down there. But he knew he shouldn't, not yet. He didn't know these others. It had been three years, but his brother barely changed a thing. He was still awkward, awkward with the ladies.
Clem said it was Tala and Wyatt. Nic looked at her with a smile, "our Wyatt is one and the same. Guess it was fate." He aimed the rifle to one of the other men but kept his gaze on Clem and Scott beside him. "You think they are holding Wyatt and Tala prisoner? Where's the others that were with them? I don't see the people you described." He spoke quietly, al last a whisper. Last thing he wanted was to be heard.
Clementine yelled out, ordering the blonde to drop her weapons and yelling to Wyatt and Tala. She ordered hands in the air, exclaimed the name of their gang. It almost made Nic laugh. They were serious, a gang. Sounded funny coming from the little girl. He was tempted to fire a warning shot, as he watched the blonde through the scope.
She luckily handed we weapons to Wyatt. "Sounds like a threat," he said under his breath as he watched his brother and the two women. "Stay low," he said to Clementine, loud enough for only her and Scott to hear, "tell Wyatt and Tala to come to my tent, the others remain where they are. We need to get an idea who they are, Wyatt will tell us straight."
He moved back. "Scott, Clem, you stay here, keep an eye on them. They move, give the signal." Grabbing his rifle Nic climbed down the rubble back to his tent, making sure they couldn't see him through the gate. He pulled the hood of his hoodie over his head, watching back, waiting for Clementine to call out again.
Nic made his way back to Dakota and the others. He gave a knock to let them know it was him and stepped inside. "It's Wyatt, and Tala. They didn't see anyone else. They are with people Clem didn't recognize. Told clem to tell Wyatt and Tala to go to the main tent. Figured you and I can talk to them, see who these others are."
He looked at María and the others. "We will just be outside the tent. Still in an ear shot, here to help and get you to safety if we need to." He didn't like leaving them all in a room without Dakota or Clem, but knew he would have to. "Everything will be okay." He wanted to reassure them, he hoped it helped.
"Let's hope these people listen, send just Tala and Wyatt to the tent. I want to speak to them alone, they could be held captive, doubtful, but it could be."
Once two little girls came into view pointing their guns at the blonde on horseback, Mason knew from Lara's description that at least one of them were one of the ones they've been searching for. Still, knowing what he knows and going through various situations in this harsh wasteland, Mason kept his gun at his side. Can never be too careful, and there's no law against it.

Clementine nodded and as Nic headed back to wait at the tent, she did her best to relay his wishes. She called down Wyatt and Tala's group. "Tala, Wyatt, head on around the the second ruined building on your left. Nic wants to have a little family reunion before he's sure of the strangers with you. the rest of you just hold tight. I'm sure if Tala and Wyatt trust you..we can too. Hopefully this is just.. a a formality? Is that the word?"
Scott just shrugged and he and Clem their weapons ready, though Clem was more relaxed, and she wished Scott wold be too.

Wyatt chuckled as the blonde chick called him honey, he hadn’t been called that in a long, long, time. Everyone was a bit on edge and very cautious, cause no one knew what was going on. All of the sudden a voice was heard, of a child. Wyatt had to give it a minute, but then he recognized the sound. It was Clementine! A wave of enthusiasm and happiness filled his heart, did they finally found the others? He just smiled as he let her talk, she seemed to be happy as well that the group was reunited. She also yelled to Harper and by the sound of it, it seemed like she didn’t trust her.
Wyatt looked at Harper as she replied to Clementine, he wouldn’t let her say anything bad to Clem, it was sweet the young girl, tried to protect them. He was just about to yell back as Harper handed him her weapons. Wyatt nodded and took the guns. “Thanks, giving up weapons means a lot these days.” Wyatt replied. He noticed how she called him handsome, he chuckled, he could get used to these words. By doing that she at least gained some of Wyatt his trust. “You took the first step, you are now unarmed, so I’ll make sure you stay safe.” He spoke with a little smile. Then focused back in the direction of Clem her voice.
He heard how she asked to meet a guy named Nic. “There wasn’t a Nic, when we split up.” Wyatt spoke softly as he raised his eyebrow. “I hope the girls made a wise decision by trusting a stranger.” Wyatt added. His guard was back up, cause there wasn’t much info. Who was with Clem, from their old group, why did they need to see a guy named Nic, who was he? Was he keeping them hostage and using them to lure them into a trap. Wyatt his blood boiled, when he thought about someone keeping the young girl hostage.
He got a stern look on his face, he handed the weapons of Harper to Emyr. “Keep an eye on everyone.” He spoke stern as he grabbed is gun from the holster. He had to know what was going on, no time to plan something. He then looked at Lucy and tried his best to force a smile. “You stay close to Emyr and keep an eye on this gang.” He spoke with a wink. “I won’t be long.” He added.
Then he walked forward, he passed Tala and walked into the direction Clem told him. On his way to the meeting spot, the name danced in his mind. It was then he remembered his brother, who he should have been searching. But that mission blurred because of everything that happened. But he promised himself he would find him. But one Nic at a time, for now he would need to deal with the Nic, that was with Clementine. Wyatt wanted to get this over with, he wanted to know who else, besides Clem was there, he wanted to know if all of them were ok.
He noticed some sort of tent, he looked behind him, but Tala wasn’t there yet, he didn’t want to wait any longer, so he proceeded. He raised his gun when he reached the spot he was supposed to meet this Nic. “Hello?” he yelled as he looked at some sort of tent.
(I have no idea what to do with Tala, so for now I just left an open spot, since I don’t want Wyatt to be the one who kills her….)
Dakota almost dropped her rifle when she first saw Wyatt. She all but forgot about all proper caution and ran straight over to greet him with a hug! Then she ran on to greet Tala with a bigger hug and happy tears. She had her big sister back! ...for now.
Wiping at her eyes, Dakota glanced back to Wyatt and then back to Nic. "Nic! They're really here!"
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
