Baron got a little heated as Ellie mentioned having him sleep in the dog bed outside. "And how about you suck my....." He stopped himself, realizing he was angry. He looked back at her. Her pretty smile paused the hatred and instead he went on a lighter note. "No."
With that, he turned around and headed downstairs and out the door looking for his tent. After spotting it he decided to scavenge through his bag and find his holy spider man shirt. Tossing it on before pulling the dope he stole from Ernie's room out of his pants and heading into a secluded area in the woods to get fucked up. I mean, how else would he spend his day?

Damon kept his poker face in tact as Ricardo digested his words. Angry and on edge, he took offense at Damon's acknowledgement of his pain, retorting that he had no idea what hurt was and that they hadn't walked in the same shoes. While the latter part of the idea was true, Damon couldn't help but to think of how ignorant it was to assume that he hadn't lost anything of his own. It was a true statement that he hadn't lost the love of his life to this new world, but he had lost plenty. With no knowledge of where either of his parents were, he was effectively an orphan. He had lost one of his best friends in the early days of the apocalypse, and it wasn't long after that he lost the other two. He had been alone until Charles and Dannie found him, and from then to now, he had lost people along the way, like weight shedding off of him as he walked. He had lost Skylar, too, in his own way, despite the drastic difference between Ricardo's relationship with her and his own. He chalked the ignorance up to lashing out on his part, and kept any kind of defense to himself.
As Ricardo turned the axe from the offensive to the defensive, Damon nodded to him. The man got in his face, but instead of flexing up to him, Damon just kept his weapon and his words steady. "Thank you." He had never expected anything in return when he had saved his life, and he didn't want him to think that he had had some kind of agenda when he rescued him. But this wasn't the time or place to have that kind of conversation, and Damon knew that it would fall on deaf, furious ears. He would have to talk to him later, once he calmed down.
Ricardo started to walk away, but just when he thought it was over, he came back to taunt him about Skylar and Charles. Damon didn't reply, didn't instigate a fight, and let him walk out of the house to blow off steam. There was nothing that Damon could say, because in a way, he was right. It was ironic that he was saving Charles, after everything. But that was just the kind of man that Damon was. He had a strong will and firm ideals, and when it all was said and done, survival was the name of the game. They needed supplies in order to live, but more than that, they needed people. They needed sane people. In Damon's mind, to survive by killing others to stay alive wasn't really living at all. Walkers did that. Against the backdrop of this new world, stained with blood and loss, Damon would be doing humanity a disservice by killing Charles, or letting him be killed, over something as trivial as a woman.
Once Ricardo was gone, Damon tucked his weapon away and went back down the stairs. Remy was helping Charles up, and it was then that he remembered what Charles had asked of him, to let Ricardo finish it because he deserved it. He shook his head. "You don't deserve it. No one deserves to die in cold blood. We didn't ask for this." He waved his hand around once, referencing more than just the fight with Ricardo. "And besides, fucking up doesn't mean you deserve to die. If fucking up was a measure of life or death, we'd all be six feet under by now."
Remy asked him to go and reassure the girls of the resolution, and he nodded and gave Charles a reassuring pat on the good shoulder before he moved past them and out of the house. "Crisis averted," he said to Nicole as he slid past her and down the stairs of the porch. He looked over his shoulder as he moved, realizing that he hadn't properly met her yet. "I'm Damon, by the way. Nice to meet you."
His eyes scanned the front. Ellie had already gone up to her room with Baron, and Daisy was still around the back of the house with her brother. He wanted to talk to her, but it would have to wait until later. He was sure that she wanted to catch up with Owen, and the commotion from inside of the house had clearly died down. He was sure that she could put two and two together. His eyes finally fell on Skylar, who sat with Walker in the distance. He hadn't spoken to her since the night prior, outside of the quick quips while fighting the horde earlier in the day. He didn't know what to say to her, and so he had given her space while he figured it out. But she seemed shaken up, and the time spent away from the baby bothered him, but he knew it was something he would have to get used to. He walked over to her with that thought in mind, and took a slow seat next to her on the bench.
"Hey." It was quiet and soft, both for the baby's sake and theirs. He watched her face, the way that she stared down at the baby, and his eyes followed hers to Walker. His little shifts in her arms made him smile, and had it been a different time, he would have reached out to take the baby. But something had changed, had past, and it felt foreign to him now. "Are you guys all right?"
Those dark corners of the mind where light cannot appear. The place where you are swarmed by your demons and suffocated of hope and the chance of escape was shallow. Skylar sat there looking down at walker as he shifted in her arms. She was so tired of everything and she wondered what kind of life walker was going to have. Would he even make it? Would any of them make it? The end of humanity seemed closer and closer with people dying bloody all the time. Most humans losing their humanity and becoming could twisted souls. Walker should be a ray of hope that life could eventually be back to normal.
Maybe he was to some while others thought Skylar was crazy for bringing him into this world. He was the only thing that kept her going it seemed. Her mind kept edging back to the hurt she had caused people and the look on Charles face when he came out of whatever delusion he was in. The look of hurt and confusion on his face was such a sad thing. Sky didn’t even notice anyone had sat down beside her until a voice rang in her ears. She was still trying so hard not to just break down and fall apart. Looking at the person beside her she was relieved to see Damon there but it also stung at the same time.
The tension in the air just made it all so much more apparent that things had changed. This unspoken wedge between them made the silence just so loud ringing in her ears. She wanted to just sneak away with him back to the time when they could spend the day just together and everything seemed to perfect. That time seemed so far away and in a different life time. She let her eyes shift from walker trying to hide the fact she was on the verge of falling apart she smiled.” We are okay…” she said quietly trying to sound convincing to Damon as she watched him watching walker move.
“I…I..” She started to speak but her voice just faded out. What was she supposed to say to him?Sorry Damon I know that you had strong feelings for me and even though I felt for you as well, I went and slept with the guy who treats you bad. I’m sorry for stabbing you in heart. Let’s just be friends. She thought to herself which just made it worse. A tear rolled down her cheek as she looked down at walker. “Nothing is okay honestly. I'm so confused.” She finally muttered out quietly not wanting to even look at Damon because the guilt she felt was already killing her.
I miss your tanned skin, your sweet smile,
So good to me, so right
And how you held me in your arms that September night
The first time you ever saw me cry.
"I'm Sorry Damon. I truly am. I don't deserve your kindness." She said to him quietly. She really didnt feel that she deserved him sitting there talking to her. After how she betrayed him in the worst possible way. She knew that he knew about it and they needed to talk about it to remove this wedge between them. If that was even a possible scenario. Damon was her best friend and she would be truly devastated if that ever changed. She couldn't imagine not having him around. He was a part of her life and a part of walker's life.

Damon listened as she tried to formulate her words. At first, none came, and together they sat in a soft, sullen silence. They started slow at first, like trickles of water, and before he knew it, her words tripped and fell from her lips like river. Regret and remorse for all that had happened, perhaps even a little bit of shame if her tone of voice was anything to go by. A tear rolled down her cheek, and his gaze followed it down and off of her chin. He frowned and looked at Walker, the way he snuggled in his mother's arms, oblivious to her plight. Damon knew of her confusions, knew of them long before Charles entered the picture. His presence had only stood to muddy it all in her mind. But as she uttered out that she didn't deserve his kindness, his frowned deepened, and he realized that although she had brought this upon herself, she didn't need to be punished anymore. She was doing that job well enough on her own. He had never intended to hurt her, keeping to himself out of his own pain, but it had happened anyway and it needed to come to a halt. If she kept suffering this way, he feared for what might become of her.
"Hey, that isn't true." Damon reached out and wiped the tear from her face, the touch of her soft skin on his fingers oddly familiar, yet somehow far away still. He rested his hand on his leg, wanting to hold her as she cried, but knowing that they had fallen too far for that to be an option just yet. Instead, he watched her with understanding eyes and kept his voice reassuring. "You could never do anything to be undeserving of kindness. You would have to change as a person for that to ever happen. You'd have to be evil, and even then, I don't think I could ever be mean to you."
Damon leaned forward and rested his forearms on his knees, smiling over at the baby. A little lower, he used the leverage to glance up into her eyes. She was tormented, he saw, and it reminded him of how nothing in this world was permanent. Just a few weeks ago, he was a tagalong that didn't really belong. He had met Skylar, helped birth a child, and had virtually fathered that child despite the unexpected presence of the actual father. He had been given responsibility over them, yet the man who gave it to him also took it away. And here they were now, still so close yet so far, as if stuck behind an invisible wall. What he had thought would become of them weeks ago had changed, and the more that the circumstances shifted, the more that he realized he was slowly shifting back to his former state. He didn't really belong again, though it was an improvement this time around.
Damon didn't know how he felt about that. All he knew what that he didn't want to see Skylar in pain, and didn't want to see Walker have to suffer. He reached out and gently rubbed the baby's hand, outstretching towards his mother, and smiled when a tiny grip came around his finger. In the presence of the perfection of a child, all of the mistakes seemed to fade away, even if it was only for a moment. "So you made some bad choices," he started slowly. "So what? That doesn't change anything." He was able to put his feelings aside for this, even if the others weren't. "It's not like you killed someone. It's not like you robbed anyone of anything." At least not literally. "Don't lose sight of who you are, Sky. You are not your mistakes. You are not the pain you cause. And you are certainly not the explanations that you feel you owe." He turned his gaze back up to her, away from the baby, long enough to offer a small, forgiving smile. "You are you. Don't ever forget that."

That's it? He was just going to leave him there, he wasn`t even going to finish the fucking job? Coward! Charles thought to himself as he stared coldly at Ricardo walking down the stairs past Damon, knowing this was far from over if it didn`t end today. The others had managed to convince him somehow to let the matter rest for now, which was beyond him, why would anyone do that? He deserved to die after everything he had done, he deserved the punishment, who better to deal it than Ricardo? Perhaps it was only him seeking an easy way out, perhaps he wanted others to feel relief upon his death, whatever it was he couldn`t help but to feel frustrated over the situation, though he also felt a slight sense of relief and gratitude towards those who tried to spare his life.
Once Ricardo left them alone, Remy told Damon to go see Skylar and as soon Dannie`s name was mentioned Charles`s eyes lit up in confusion as to how she knew the name. Had the kid revealed everything about what had happened, without his consent? All kinds of questions raced through his mind and he wanted to ask about it, though fell short to utter any word as grief suddenly overwhelmed him by the share thought of her. Rather reluctantly he stood up when Remy helped him to his feet and she said she wanted to fix him up and undo all the damage he had done, her words made him chuckle knowing she maybe wouldn't have said that if she knew how much of a mess he had caused.
Together they walked back up to the attic where he had been earlier and there it became apparent what he had done to the place. He could tell by looking at Remy`s facial expression that she wasn`t pleased, and it made him wonder what Arden would think once he returned, though she didn`t seem to care much about that right now as she moreover wanted to treat his wounds. She told him to sit and so he did, like a broken shell of a man he hugged his legs and tried to restrain the tears from falling. Charles wished it could be over, that he could move on and meet Dannie, his sister, father, mother, everyone in the afterlife, if there ever was such a thing.
When she began to clean him up, she told him straight to his face that Damon had spoken about his girlfriend and by putting two and two together she must have figured he had seen her again, as she didn`t hesitant to ask if he had. "She wasn`t my girlfriend..." He answered brief, ignoring the question completely as he didn`t want her to believe he was crazy. As his eyes landed on her while she brushed his face, he failed to realize he began to stare, and it wasn`t until she spoke again about herself that he came back to reality. Hearing that she too had lost someone made him sympathize, though it was different than what he had experienced. However it made him curious enough to know more about her. "Why did he leave you?..." Charles asked, believing she referred to a man.

Remy was worried about running out of bandages and perhaps it showed in her face, which may have been the reason he was staring at her. She looked at him briefly, pulling her hair back as her hands were now spotted with his blood as she cleaned him up a bit. She wouldn't mind one of those buckets of water right now, but she worried if she left him here alone, what would he do to himself?
Several bandages were starting to cover his cuts and bruises now and he was going to be hurting tomorrow, in all ways. "She wasn't your girlfriend? Huh. Damon seems to think she was. She must have been someone you really cared about if you saw her."
She really knew nothing about Charles and his past. She knew nothing about Charles and his present. She wasn't about to preach to Charles about his future either. When he asked about Luca, her face turned from worried to a bit more sad. He was staring at her still.
"I.." She paused for a second, protective of her own identity as that voice screamed at her to say nothing about herself. But Charles needed someone he could talk to before a bullet from that gun ended up in his skull. "He chose a different way. An old friend came back his way, found him in all this and convinced him to leave...without me."
Even though that was not what happened in the least. The truth may never be known but if she knew that truth now, her heart would likely break in two. But then she thought of Owen and it made her smile a bit as she worked. "I left New Orleans to come here, to find my family. I should have never left the state in the first place, but I'm home and home can be full of surprises."
She finished with the last band aid and started to move his arms gently up and down, making sure nothing was dislocated or broken. Once she found his arms were still in tact, she went to a dresser that had been knocked askew and pulled out a men's t-shirt handing it to him. She knew spare clothes were kept up here as the attic was usually a guest room for visiting relatives. She handed him the shirt and sat down next to him on the cot.
"I know you're not a bad guy, Charles. I know you got secrets, we all do. But you can't be reckless. None of us can afford to be. Whatever Dannie was to you I'm sure was special. You'll work through it. We just gotta move ahead. We can rest here."
She tried to offer a comforting smile to him as she said that, thinking about Owen and his sister. Charles' sister disappeared and she wondered how hard the family reunions were going to be on him.
Sky waited in silence for further information to come from Damon about this situation. Damon had been around Charles longer than her and maybe could give her a better picture of what happened before they got to the bayou. She wasn't sure what to make of Charles breakdown otherwise. Damon finally spoke up saying he wasn't surprised about what happened. Skylar listened as he went on Talking about Dannie being with Charles when they found him. She assumed that she had to be his girlfriend or from the way Charles was acting he must have loved the girl.
Her lips formed a frown hearing about Dannie's Death. The truth was that Charles was just now getting the chance to deal with what had happened. Sky knew how she felt when she was separated from Ric and the moment she believed he was dead. She wanted to break down but she to didn't have time to sit down and deal with it. She had to keep going and stay alive for Walkers sake. "Sounds like she was a great person. I'm assuming she meant something to you as well. I'm sorry for your loss Damon." Skylar said looking over at him.
His eyes stared off into the distance looking for something. Not sure really what he was searching for but she looked to see nothing but trees and leaves swaying in the wind. She looked back at Damon and let out a small sigh. She felt kinda bad for injuring him now but she was just trying to get her child away from him. Damon said that she should really talk to him for more information about the past, present and future. Looking down at walker she debated on what she should do next. She needed to speak with Charles about this. The fact was if he was going to be with her then he would have to be a part of Walkers life.
Her eyes moved back to Damon she could see him smile. "Wanna visit with uncle Damon?" Sky said quietly to the sleeping baby. "Will you keep a eye on him for me?" Sky said as she slowly stood from her place on the bench. She gently placed The sleeping baby in Damon's arms. Leaning down She kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks best friend." She said quietly in his ear and then headed towards the house. She needed to know where Charles was with all this and that he was okay. Not seeing anyone in the lower level of the house she made her way upstairs.
She passed the room where everything took place and saw the bloody knife on the floor through the open door. She moved up the stairs towards the attic and stood in the door way seeing remy sitting beside a beaten Charles on a cot. She knocked on the open door to get their attention. “Charlie when you have a second can I Talk to you?” She said looking at him. Her eyes shifting to remy she raised her hands. “I’m not Armed. No weapons I swear.” She said to her then looked back at Charles waiting for him to say whether he would speak to her or not.
Each walker he took down was nothing but fierce anger. When he had already kill all the few walkers he stumbled upon with his ax he sat on the floor and hold his head.Thinking that he should have killed Charles and refuse to listen to Damon but Ric had honor and he didn't wanted to decline the man who saved his life request.
He had to get away from here,or he definely will kill Charles. He had to get away from Sky also because the hurt she put him through tore apart his soul.He would have never did this her no matter how much he would have disconnect from her,she meant too much to him.He then feel his gunwounds to see if it was okay and it was.He then gets up and walks further in the woods. His mind trapped, his heart broken and his soul cold.
The commotion in the house settled, more or less. Ric stormed out and she watched Damon try and comfort Skylar. She kept her distance from everyone. The new group that arrived that had been family, the 'warring' parties, everyone. She also saw Baron take off to the wood line after he grabbed a shirt from his tent.
Thank God.
Her eyes followed Ric until he too was gone.
It was decided. She was going to follow Ric. Ric was hurt and no doubt worked up. He shouldn't be off by himself. She quickly followed after him leaving most of her gear behind. She wanted to be quick, make sure he was as alright as he was going to be and bring him back so he could be looked after. Her pace quickened as she began a light jog as she went deeper into the woods.
"Ric?" she called out as she pressed forward. Nicole knew he might want to be alone, but if he really had a GSW that wasn't properly treated... "Ric, come on now."
She caught a glimpse of him standing up from the ground and drove deeper into the woods and farther from the house. "Ric, wait," she called out and then sprinted in his direction. As she got closer she spoke softly. "Hey, come on. Let's get back. I get it, you're hurt. Physically. Emotionally. I get it. But out here isn't a place to be right now. You said you were shot, well, let's see it. Let's check it out and make sure nothing is wrong with the wound. Make sure it isn't infected."
Nicole slowed her pace until she was a few paces from him. She still wanted to keep space between them. People who were hysterical could often be irrational. Irrational people could be violent. She wasn't saying that he was, but she'd rather be cautious.
Ric then heard a familiar voice call him.He then turn around to see Nicole behind him.She told him to come back to the house so he could get his gun wound check and see if it was infected. He thought to himself she was right even if he didn't want to go back he had to. "Why would she do this to me? I thought she just needed space to think things through." It really hurt....it really did but he had to move on.It wasn't going to be easy but he had to stay focus for the sake of Walker.
He will get to face Charles another day for what pain he brought him.I mean here it is now Charles turned most of the group against Arden then turn around and slept with Sky then tried to hurt her and his son but somehow he was the good guy, shit just didn't make sense. He have to get away from this group and get his son out and maybe Sky and Nicole but he really had to get he and Walker out because to be led by criminals was not in his best interest. "Okay.Lets go." He follow Nicole back to the house to try convince Sky and who ever.

Damon had it wrong; he and Dannie were never officially together, even though he wished they had been. Sure the feelings they had for each other was strong, especially his, but work and other commitments had kept them from becoming more than that. It wasn`t until they met a few weeks prior that their relationship had started to blossom, except that it failed the moment she died. He had thought he could protect her, though he was no better than anyone else. Maybe if he hadn`t taken her from the group she had been with things would have been different, perhaps she then would still have been alive. He felt guilty about lying to her, about them dying when they hadn`t. He knew the truth, that they would be alright, yet he had used the chance to take her away. However the past would and always would be the past, there was nothing he could do now.
Charles kept staring at Remy as she cleaned his face and he could tell that he had hit a nerve when she paused before answering his question. She seemed legit hurt when she told him about the special someone she had lost, that another had taken him from her. He assumed it must have been a she, though he didn`t know for sure. It made him think of his own situation with Dannie, had he been the one to take her from someone else? The more he listened to Remy speak about her life, the more he got to know her and what she had been through.
Soon as she started to speak about her home he could see a smile form on her face, he understood why, he had seen her with Owen and how close they had gotten, and to be honest, he was happy for her, she deserved to be happy, hell everyone did the way the world was. He just hoped he hadn`t fucked it up with Skylar, if he could he would speak to her again, the least he wanted was to scare her with the things he had seen lately. Although the fact that he felt lonely wasn`t the reason why he wanted to kill himself, it was because of all the trouble he had made, in particular those he had failed to protect.
As he thought about his sister and where she could possibly be, he sat still while Remy finished the last band aid and checked his arms. Luckily nothing had been dislocated, though he couldn`t shake off the pain every time he moved. The beating he took from Ricardo had left him battered and bruised, and he knew he probably wouldn`t be nice to look at for some time to come. In one of the drawers nearby Remy found a shirt he could wear, and she gave it to him the moment she sat down next to him. It was a kind gesture and he gladly accepted it, because he had walked around half naked since he woke up. The vest he had worn though had been taken off when she treated his wounds.
What she said next gave him a new perspective on things, just because life was hard didn`t mean he should roll over and give up, no he should fight and overcome it, like the rest had done, and he agreed. He had been foolish with his recklessness and it almost cost him his life, hadn`t they intervened when they had then he most likely would have been killed. “Thank you, for everything…” He started answering, pausing for a minute as his mind contemplated what he had done. “You`re right…I shouldn`t have, I…” He stopped speaking, uncertain what to say next.
Then the least person he expected to see showed up, it was Skylar and she came asking if she could talk to him. Speechless he looked at her with an open mouth, he didn`t know how to respond, he hadn`t even thought she would come and see him so quickly after how he had acted. He was glad though, that she came, that was she willing to talk. It made him smile and for a short moment he glanced between her and Remy, carefully replying. “Ehm…sure, we can talk, Remy was just done fixing me up.”

Remy was about to respond to him when Sky came back upstairs to the attic to talk to him. Apparently they had some unresolved issues that was none of her business. Besides, she was hungry and wanted to eat some of that fish Owen cooked before it went back. She placed a hand on Charles' shoulder and stood up, patting him gently. It was a knowing touch, reassuring him that she understood whatever it was that he was going through. "When ya'll are done talking, there's fish me and Owen caught this morning. He cooked it up. Don't let it go to waste."
She passed Sky in the doorway looking at the woman seeing the baby was not in her arms. With a sigh, she moved out of the room and was going to enjoy that well-deserved meal she had spent all morning working so hard to catch.
