Johnny saw the bike, her bike. Why was her bike signalled out, maybe because it was different? She spoke and he kept his hand on her back. She needed to be quiet, they didn't have time to be in shock. They other bikes didn't have their keys, and they couldn't fix it. She suggested taking his and he nodded.
"Alright. Let's go," he said calmly, he didn't think they would come back for it. He wasn't coming back, not with those bikers here. "I'm sorry sbout your bike," he said as he guided her over. He climbed on and felt her climb on the back, wrapping her arms around him. She whispered I his ear as he placed a hand on her knee. Wheeling the bike back he had it pointed straight at the road.
"You won't," he said calmly, "they'll be fine." He looked back at her before placing both hands on the handle bars. Revving the engine he tore off down the road, kicking up dust and dirt as he left. He could hear bikers rushing out the door, a few shots going off as he left. He looked back in briefly, at Sierra, then at bikers.
They got farther and farther away as Johnny kept driving, heading north bound towards Vegas.
Her bike, damnit! It was all she had left!! She couldn't stop staring at it. Sierra, she had her sister! Sienna glanced at him as he told her to come on and ride with him. Did she have a choice?
She grabbed her bag and headed for him and his bike as she heard an engine rev. " that's one." She rushed forward and slipped a leg over his bike, holding the bag between them. Sienna slid her arms around him and gripped tight after putting on her helmet."go, go, go" she saw a group of men rushing around the side. They musta ran out of the bar as they heard the engine.
Drake heard the sound of the bike Rev off. One down, Johnny and Sierra had gotten out. There was yelling and shouting behind them, followed by the odd gunshot. Not hesring a crash, at least they made it.
Sienna quickly hopped on. He felt her arms around him, bag pressed into his back. He started his bike and drove it forward, out the garage doors. He turned the bike around and aimed a gun into the garage. Firing a shot he hit the the leaki fuel. It was called fire arm for a reason. The gas erupted as he sped around the building.
There was a loud bang and fire erupted from inside. It should be enough to keep the angry bikers busy as he took off down the road. Unkwingly to him he went right down the road, as Johnny went left. He just headed out, hoping to catch up with his friend and reunite the sisters. His plan now was simply put road between the bar and the bike, hope to hell they came across Johnny.
Sierra wrapped her arms tightly around Johnny's body as they took off down the road. She could feel the dirt and sand against her body as they shot out and away from the clubhouse. She looked back as she heard the bang and saw some smoke starting to rise from inside, out of the eaves. She yelled out to her sister as they took off. "Sienna!!"
There was nothing she could do. There was no going back and she watched as her and Drake took off. She lost sight of them and assumed Drake saw which way they were going. All she could do was hold on tight. What little she had was completely gone. Her clothes, her backpack..her bike. She was completely destitute now and that made stinging tears come to her eyes.
The rumble of the bike was loud and she couldn't hear him anyways. She didn't know where they were going or how long they would have to ride for. She just hoped Johnny would hear her. She didn't even feel safe without her helmet on and it made for great protection against the biters.
"Johnny! Where are we going?" Her voice cracked as she said that. Her tears were dried by the wind as it whipped against her face and her hair blown back. All she could do was close her eyes and keep herself close to him.
Sienna clung to Drake, but dared to glance back as the gas caused an explosion. She couldn't see Switch or Sierra. She craned her neck around, trying to see any sign of them. She looked front and back, and nothing. She saw smoke, and flames behind them, "Drake! Where are they?!" She sounded afraid, probably for the first time since he had met her, "Drake! I can't lose my sister!"
Her mind raced. No, they were up ahead, somewhere. They had to be. She held tighter, "We gotta find them!" she spoke loudly for him to hear her, but inside, she was struggling to not cry. Sienna was thankful her was not able to see her face with her helmet on, because she couldn't help it. She felt this gap growing, this void, deep inside. She knew Sierra wasn't close.
"They took off before us," Drake said taking only a brief second to look back. Having not seen them gone he had only assumed it was this way, up and around like Johnny and him had discussed, but he was starting to think that wasn't the case. Maybe he went back toward Vegas, was gonna stick to the major roads. He didn't know, he was gonna swing west then head north like the plan.
"You ain't gonna loose her. I'm not loosing Johnny, you won't loose her," Drake said gripping the handle. He saw the thick dark smoke rising. "We'll find them, catch up to them, you'll see. They got a head start, that's it. We have to put distance between us and the bikers, and then we'll be fine. We can regroup after we're safe."
He looked away, straight ahead. "It will be fine. We'll find them." He didn't know if he was reassuring her, or himself, it they would find them. He felt it, they would be okay. He kicked the bike into a faster speed and sped off. The bikers weren't chasing them at least, that much was evident. He went silent, no longer wanting to yell over the road.
Johnny kept going. He never liked being a biker, that was never his main inspiration. He liked bikes, the people like drake. But these petty feuds, between bikers, shooting, being chased away, he didn't like it. He kept his gaze street on the road as he just drove. He could feel Sierra behind him, holding on as she sat close.
He didn't know what to say. He saw the fire, the explosion, but didn't see Drakemdrive off. By the time his friend disappeared he was already long gone. The only bet would they would hear the roar of the bike wherever they stopped. At least the bikers didn't chase them, they had been to focused on Drake blowing it up and running away. Johnny and Sierra were forgotten, for once.
Johnny kept his eyes on the road, but he hesrd Sierra speak. "Away from the bar," Johnny said calmly, "all we can do. We'll stick to the main highway, hope drake and Sienna can spot us. I don't know what else to do. Next town we come across we'll stop, wait for them to come. That explosion the fire, it had to be them, they did that, and got out."
He just wanted to know why when he looked back, he didn't see any sign of them. He hoped they were okay
"Johnny! We have to wait for them!" She turned her eyes back over her shoulder looking to see if she could see or hear anything but with the roar of the wind and his bike in her ears and her hair in her face she couldn't see or her anything.
He didn't stop though. He kept going towards the highway in hopes the Mexicans didn't follow them. She kept her hands wrapped around him tightly and pressed her face against his back as they moved swiftly down the road.
"We have to stop!" He wasn't going to stop, she knew that. She could barely see the signs as her hair continued to whip against her face. With any luck maybe they would start to head back to Flagstaff. They were in Arizona and if anything, Sienna may think her and Johnny were heading back to their home. She wanted her own bike. Her mind was reeling from what just happened. She had left herself vulnerable the night before and now she was starting to wonder if it was all worth it.
All they had to do was leave...they could have their bikes, they could have each other and they possibly could have found a safe place to be right now.
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
