Gareth raised his hands in defence. "Fine, fine, no more touching your squishy ass. I'll keep to minds to myself. But you're gonna regret it, when you busy sucking on Johnny's limp dick you'll be wishing for mine sugar." He grinned "we both know it. You'll be crawling back to all this, wanting a real, man not some scrawny kid."
He looked at Drake, watching him leave with the meat. "Come on ladies, best follow the boy. He gets bitchy if you don't." He chuckled to himself, grabbing what was left with the beer.
He wasn't going anywhere. Not till he was done with these ladies. They'd fall for him, warm up in time.
Sierra looked at her sister who seemed to have taken in a sour mood. What got her craw anyways? She looked at her sister and pulled away from Johnny guessing he wanted some help with the grill as they found the frozen food. Stopping in front of Gareth, she glared right at him and placed her hands on her hips.
"My ass isn't squishy." She kept going outside and watched as Drake set the burgers and hot dogs down. Her stomach was growling already as she anticipated the hot, cooked meat.
"Damn, I wish we had some keiser rolls, mayo, lettuce and pickles. Maybe a sprinkle of blue cheese to put on top. Maybe a big side of fries and a strawberry milkshake."
Now she was just dreaming as she looked around for some chairs to pull closer to the grill. It was starting to get a little cool out so sitting next to the grill would do right by her. She started to drag some old metal chairs that were out on the old patio where clearly bikers used to gather and drink. There were empty beer bottles scattered around and the wood on the deck was already starting to rot from the elements.
"Sorry about my sister. She can be a little moody sometimes."
Johnny followed Gareth, Sierra, and Drake out. With Gareth outside he didn't feel the need to watch Sienna, she could do as she pleased. He came out and helped Sierra with the metal chairs. Once they were set up, semi close the the grill he took a seat, Gareth sitting across from him. The old man just glared, not responding to anything but the odd glance at Sierra.
Johny rubbed his beard. "Think some bacon is what I'd prefer, maybe a nice egg on top. do we have buns for this meat, plates, anything like that? I'm fine eating them with my hands, but they'll be hot to touch. We even have a napkin, or anything to hold them?"
He leaned back, stretching out his long legs. He looked over at Sierra, watching her sit down.
Drake looked st the propane tank of the grill. It was full, he was surprised. As he opened the grill he grabbed the brush on the side and scraped it off. Once clean he started it up, when it started, without blowing up, he sighed in relief. He quickly tossed on the burgers and dogs and closed the lid.
"Alright, good fifteen, twenty minutes should do it," he said calmly. As Sierra and Johnny set up chairs, Drske took one of the beers from Gareth. "Cloesest thing we have to pickles and mayo is some jerky. Think we have a bag of chips, would go nicely with the burgers and dogs. Close as we have to fries. That and a Tequilla will have to replace the shake."
He smiled, "yeah I don't know what I said, but Sienna went storming off. Came out of no where." He rubbed his jaw from where Sienna s Elbowed him.
"Johnny, why don't you go find some plates or something, try the kitchen. Grab some of out food too, from the saddle bags."
Sienna sat there on the bar stool for a moment or two after everyone walked outside. She didn't care everyone thought she was a bitch. It was all stupid. Why the hell should someone sleep with someone else, just cause it's the apocalypse? They had just met! Drake seemed to think they were some kind of spoiled rich girls and nothing could be further from the truth! Sierra did enjoy the lifestyle and the money, but neither of them went crazy with it. They paid off bills, helped their father get out of debt. The place they called home had finally been paid for, along with their bikes and the garage. It just rubbed her the wrong way.
Slowly she slipped off the stool, and moved towards what she figured was a kitchen. Just meat, was all Drake brought out. Bread was out, unless one of them baked and she doubted that. The idea of one of them in an apron, mixing flower and making dough caused her to laugh out loud. She rummaged through cupboards and drawers looking to see what she could find.
Pickles, can of baked beans , some salt and pepper packets, few plastics forks, couple bowls and a few paper plates. There was other stuff that she sat aside figuring it didn't really go with what they were eating. She looked up seeing Johnny walk in," oh, guess we were thinking the same thing."
"Buns? Jesus, I love bread. The only good thing that came from this apocalypse was my figure coming back." True, she had lost several inches from her body, then again, everyone did. Those that were too large to run became hamburger meat themselves. She winked to Johnny but suddenly got quiet as she was left alone with Gareth and Drake. Gareth already made his intentions known and Drake had called him off like a pet, but she really didn't know these guys. Johnny didn't pull her back and force her to take care of him on the bar, which he really could have if he wanted to. It made her appreciate him a little more.
"You know, sometimes she takes things the wrong way. When we were in the racing circuit, she was under the gun a lot more then me. Me? I was just a pretty face riding hard. She ...she had to deal with the mechanics judging her work, harassing her. She had to make sure I could ride hard and sometimes in that boy's club, it's harder."
She looked at Gareth, wondering if she could break him of his bad habits, although she really doubted it.
"Where are you guys headed anyways? Wandering or what?"
"You lost your figure," Johnny asked, she looked like the splitting image of her poster. She looked fine before, and after all this. "You looked fine before this, and still do now." He smiled at her, keeping his gaze down low to the ground after he did.
Drake told him to go find plates, and Johnny did, standing up with a sigh. Always the fucking errand boy. Being pushed and ordered around. If he disagreed he would say something, but if he didn't, best not to argue with the two of them. So plates he would grab.
He tucked his hands in his pockets as he walked. Entering the door to the back kitchen area he nearly ran in to Sienna. Narrowly slipping out of the way he smiled at her a she tried to steady her and everything she carried.
"Yeah figured we needed something," Johnny said looking at everything she set out. He smiled again. "Need help carrying it?"
He looked at the baked beans. "Frank and beans, classic combination."
He felt awkward standing there, with the sister of the girl he was just necking behind the bar. "So, uh...does Sierra lead all the boys on. Tease and treat them like that. I don't want to say I'm a fool, but I am. I mean, I gave in without a second thought. I feel.. I don't know... Guilty I guess. Like I deserved it, and should have known better."
He saw Sienna as the more mature out of the two. Though he didn't interact with her much, it was obvious by the way she held herself.
Drske watched Johnny leave, and ignored the comments about Sierra and her body, coming from from both Johnny and Sierra. He saw the wink she gave him. Dam fool was being led on again. Gareth just glared, probably wanted attention from them. To bad he wasn't getting any.
Sierra spoke about her sister and drake just nodded. "See I didn't say anything about that. I apllauded her for her hard work on my bike. But as soon as I mention how better off you are she storms out. I mean you all had more money than us, it's obvious. It was just a joke too, guess she didn't take it well. I'll have to apologize to her."
He smiled. Listened to Sierra ask about where they're going next.
"We haven't decided. Either south more into Arizona. Or we swing up north to Montana, maybe east to Tenesse. Haven't decided yet. Sienna said you two are heading to Ohio, ain't that the other way? Where you looking at here. I mean it's Walker free, but food is just as rare out here."
"Better off? Well, yea, I mean, we got our winnings, but we weren't rich by any means. Everything we made went back into the bikes, the trailer, parts, salary, paying off dad's debt. I mean, hell, we were just starting to get sponsors to take care of all that."
She shrugged and looked over at Gareth who went oddly silent. Seemed like he only piped up to cause controversy and she wondered if his bark was bigger then his bite. That seemed to be the case. Drake and Johnny seemed nice enough and first impressions were everything. There was a pang of guilt as she thought about that, wondering what kind of impression she made on Johnny.
"Montana? That actually sounds like a good idea. I've only been there once for a race and slept through most of the drive in there. Pretty remote I would suspect. I told Johnny we were headed to Ohio, but ..yea. That can change."
She leaned back in her seat waiting for her sister and Johnny to come back outside. She was really looking forward to this meal even if it were freezer burned burgers and canned beans.
"I don't know if we're looking to travel with anyone though. I mean, it's up to my sister." She knew she came off as the stronger personality but really she considered Sienna to be the smarter one. Even if she refused to admit that out loud most of the time.
"Yeah but you travelled the country, went to Europe. You had multiple bikes. I lived payment to payment. Based on what I didn't host day was whether I ate, or payed bills. We were a rely making ends meat," Drakemsaid calmly. "The chapter, we barely got by. Business wasn't running as it used to, and the dealers were going elsewhere. They'd rather deal with the Chinese, or the gangbangers. Between that and cops always having to take a cut, we didn't see shit. You had multiple outfits just to race, I owned three shirts."
He paused, "and when your sister didn't even recognize a barbecue I just assumed. I mean you don't come off prissy, and are willing to get dirty. But hat don't mean you weren't spoiled. I see that you weren't, keep talking. About debt. At least you had family around." He opened the girl to flip the burgers, dropping the subject.
"Yeah Montana is just as desolate as here, but not as hot. Lots of wildlife too. Can only eat snake for so long. What's in Ohio anyway? Seems way out of the way. We first we're going to head to this border town, but that can change too. All I know is I'm not going back to Vegas. Place is to loaded, to crowded. Barely got out the first time."
He looked down, taking a sip of his beer. "You all are welcome to travel with us. I know Johnny would probably like it. And some input coming from someone either than Gareth and myself would be appreciated." He took another sip. "There were six starting chapters, and two formed after that. Being all over, we could go anywhere. At some point we'll cross it. South Dakota is as far north, and Lousinana or Arizona is as far south."
Sienna managed to not drop anything. He did try to help her. She stared at him for a moment and nodded," sure, help would be nice. It's just what I could find." She handed him over the untensiles and things , but held onto the other stuff.
He didn't waste time and came right out with a question about her sister." She is a flirt, always has been, I ain't defending it, but she uses it to learn if she can trust ." She shrugged," no, you didn't deserve it, you've been nice to us. Even I can see that." Sienna offered him a smile," look, you're the first one I've seen her actually seem to feel bad she hurt your feelings, if that says anything."
She wanted to drop the subject, her sisters sex lode was not something she wanted to be involved in.
"Drake says you work on bikes, like me, maybe we can check them out after food." She sighed," we aren't leaving , least til we get a shower, if Drake was serious about that?" She raised a brow, fishing to see if Drake had been lying to them." We should probably get this out there, I don't want to leave her with that old asshole for long."
"Maybe you should have turned to drugs for your gang. Isn't that what bikers do? Make meth? From the circles I came from that's who they bought from. Never tried it myself but from what I saw I'm glad I didn't. It fucked up too many of my friends."
She looked at him as he spoke about her sister not knowing what a barbeque looked like. "No, come on. My sister knows what one looks like. Maybe she was just playing with you. Kind of like how I was doing with Johnny. Sort of." On a far different level. Her sister wasn't wrapping her legs around this guy and getting him aroused like that. Thinking of Johnny, she looked towards the door to see if they were coming out any time soon.
Sierra shrugged as he asked about Ohio. It was a little lie she told Johnny to continue the test. She wanted to know if these were a bunch of guys that would follow but it was turning out that in an odd way, she maybe wanted to follow them. Montana sounded nice.
"After what I did to him, you think Johnny will want us..me..to come along?" She chuckled as the tequila made her far more relaxed then she normally would be while Gareth sat to the side pouting. "I like him. He's got a good face. Maybe we'd be better off with a bigger group. I just hope your bikes can keep up. Slow ass Harley's." She winked as she said that, leaning back in her seat and letting her head fall back as she closed her eyes.
He took the utensils and anything he was handed. "Anything to help," he said with a smile. He meant it, Johnny was always a pleasure, he liked to help, to do good deeds. Maybe not the most typical traits for a biker, but he wasn't the best biker either." As Sienna spoke abo her sister, he listened. It made sense, most of what she said was obvious, but he still felt like a dam fool.
"Well I guess that. Makes me feel a little bit better," he said. If Sierra actually cared, then maybe it hadn't just been teasing. He admit it was all a little to,fast, but there could,be soemthing there, eventually. "Thanks," he said, seeing Sienna didn't want to discuss it further.
As she spoke about bikes and him being a mechanic he nodded. "Yeah, I mean we all fix bikes, but I defiantly have the most skills out of the three of us. Drske doesn't know what he's doing, and Gareth is just lazy. We could definetly check the bikes over. I think I need to tweak some on the bikes anyway. Mine was rattling today. Just have to check the bolts."
She went on about not leaving, and the shower. "He was serious about that. Bar has it's own well supply, and sewage run out. So everything should work perfectly. Having it's own power grid, that was unexpected. But I guess solar panels, and the underground wires work."
He looked at the door. "You don't trust Drake to watch over her," he asked starting to walk back. It wasn't like shyness alone with Gareth. He came back in to the garage and walked to where the grill was. Setting the supplies he had in his arms on the table he smiled before taking his seat next to Sierra.
"And end up in prison," Drake asked. "No we dealt some drugs, or transported them. Mostly we ran guns though. But when buying a piece guess gangbanger would rather buy from gangbangers. In the end we did more stuff being muscle. Needed someone to look tough,ms hake someone down, we could handle it. I was trying to get them to buy into the bar scene. Control the shipments of beer to the bars and whatnot, just was a slow process."
"Think she just didn't recognize this kind. She could have been playing, but when I started playing back she got prissy," he shrugged. She mentioned her and Johnny, but he wouldn't ask that. What happened happened.
"I don't think Johnny will care. You could probably torture him and keep doing it the whole ride, and he would go along with it. He isn't stupid, he knows what you're doing, now, but he he likes to please. He'll play along, just don't hurt the poor kid."
She made fun of their bikes again, "the bikes will go just fine. They aren't much different then your sister's bike, she keeps up just fine. If you want to travel with us, then travel with us. We won't complain either way. Firsts things first though, we need to get water running and a showering going tomorrow. You have until then to decide I guess."
He smiled and flipped the burgers. Seeing Johnny and Sienna come out he smiled. "Foods just about done, few more minutes."
Sienna didn't answer Switch's question about her trusting Drake. She didn't feel it needed an answer. She smiled at him and spoke about working on the bikes," sure we can check it out in the morning, if you want." She rounded the corner of the garage and saw Drake. He smiled, that mean he accepted her apology?
Sienna glanced at her sister. It did not bode well how relaxed she seemed. What, she flirt with this one too? She really needed to pick one or the other. Sienna hated it, but her stomach betrayed her and actually growled when she smelled the food cooking.
" found some stuff inside, baked beans, pickles, salt and pepper packets and some other packets, ketchup, mustard, mayo, I think." She grinned at her sister," figured you would like that, no buns." She shrugged and set stuff down on a chair.
She glanced at Drake," you have power, so I could charge my iPod, right? Been a long time since I had music to work by, it helps me focus." She glanced at Sierra," told Switch I'd help him with his bike in the morning." Sienna glanced back and forth between them," guess we each get our own rooms, right? Or should Sierra and I share?" Her eyes strayed to Bones for a brief moment.
Sierra chuckled as he spoke teasing Johnny and him going along with it.
"I'll be honest, I don't really know him at all, but I like him. There's something ...sweet about him." Jesus, did she just call him sweet in front of his biker friend? She wondered if she was going to regret saying that. She didn't want Drake to look at Johnny in a different light because she said that. They were tough guys after all.
She was thankful when Sienna and Johnny came back outside hoping that statement would be forgotten. She got up and helped her sister with the condiments and beans, pulling out a knife and jabbing it down into the top of the can. Slowly she started to puncture it and peel back the top of the tin so they can heat it up and help themselves.
"I can't believe all this food is here. Did you guys know about this bar before you came here or was this completely random?"
She set the can on the grill, a bit off to the side so the beans wouldn't burn as her sister set out everything else.
"Too bad all the bread is moldy. A nice keiser bun would be perfect." She sat back down next to Johnny and smiled wide to him. When Sienna mentioned helping Switch with his bike in the morning, there was an odd pang of jealousy. It was stupid and she knew it, but she wanted to make sure Johnny knew where she stood with him.
"Yea, we can share a room. I think I'd like to shower first though." She sheepishly looked at Johnny wondering what it would be like to sleep next to him. It had been so long since they lost their boyfriends she could barely remember what it was like to have a warm, male body next to her again. She wanted to find out tonight. "Eat, finish off this bottle of tequila, shower, then...yea, sleep." She picked up the bottle and passed it gently to Johnny allowing her fingers to gently touch against his as she passed it.
"What's a keiser bun," Johnny asked looking up from where he sat. He helped with the grill the best he could, meeting out plates while the girls worked the condiments. "I'd love any bread, I need carbs." He sat back down and stretched out his legs again. He leaned back.
When Sierra sat down he smiled at her. He saw the jealousy on her face. "Yeah we need to fix the bikes, get them tuned up. Leave by mid morning. We could drive out mid morning then, get a good ride in. We could make the next place by diner time."
He looked back. "There's enough rooms for very one so you don't have to share if you don't want to. We'll each take on for ourselves, you ladies can share or have your own, up to you." He smiled and took the bottle when based to him. The lingering of her fingers caused s slightly blush.
He traced his forefinger across the back of her palm. "Eating, and drinking sound good to me. Add me to the list."
Sierra thought Johny was sweet. drake shrugged it off. Johnny wasn't always the thought guy. You could be sweet and tough at the same time. Johnny was different he was more sensitive, but he could be tough too. Drake always vouched for him.
Drake took the beans once Sierra opened them, and placed the. On top of the grill. The can would expand, but he could cook it, he had before. "All this stuff should be good. I doubt we'll get bread anytime soon, unless we end up baking it. You girls ever bake bread?"
He looked around. "Should be able to charge that. Can't believe I can say that. I stopped carrying my phone a while back, just a paperweight. If you have the charger you can charge it, shouldn't drain the power that much. Might be good to have some music. I have t heard any in a while. Would be nice, what's on your playlist?"
He opened the grill and took off the beans. Taking one of the plates he added all the meat to one plate. He set it down on the table. "Foods done, ladies serve first. Take as much as you want."
He smiled at them both, "as for the shower. We can't do that till morning. I don't want to go crawl around in the dark looking for a well. If the water isn't flowing you'll have to wait. We can check a tap after we eat though. I want some food, miss been a while eating trail mix and jerky. Anything warm is going to be good."
He looked at zsienna, "so if you fix the bikes will it give you enough time to travel tomorrow, we appreciate the help, but I don't want to be a bother to you. You can sleep wherever you want though. Again you girls get first pick."
Sienna heard how her sister commented on them sleeping. She didn't want to share, she could feel it. She got it, having her in the room would cramp her style if Switch came in later. Three was a crowd and no way Sienna was into any kinky shit. Her eyes darted at Sierra, then to Gareth. She was trying desperately to get her sister to know why she wanted to share a room. Sienna didn't want to take a chance that old creep would try crawling into bed with her.
She grinned widely when the food was done. Drake didn't have to tell her twice," looks good" she got a burger, dog, and beans. She was putting ketchup and mayo on the side of her plate as he spoke about the bikes. Sienna paused," no problem, sides, we owe you guys for the food, right?" She glanced at him and frowned," so you don't know if the water is actually running." She had her hopes up about the shower. Her playlist, she laughed." Honestly, I don't remember what all is on it, probably classic rock, some metal, I don't know, I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music, a little bit of everything."
Sierra looked down as Johnny's finger moved across her palm and her mind let loose on other ways he could use his hands. She was dutifully brought back to reality though as she released the bottle and heard Drake talk about no showers until the morning.
"Well damn. I was looking forward to getting some of this road dust out of my hair. And don't lie Sienna. Just admit you have the entire Justin Bieber collection on your IPod." She grinned as she teased her sister speaking to the boys. "And I have to listen to her sing it all at the top of her lungs."
The food was ready and the boys offered them up the first bites. She happily obliged behind her sister and when the mention of baking bread came up, she elbowed her sister and laughed quietly. "Can you believe that?"
She piled up some beans, a hot dog, pickles and loaded up on as many condiments as she could without looking like a complete hog. She didn't need much and she didn't want much. She remembered the last time her and her sister came across a 'feast'. She also remembered throwing it all up from eating too much. A total waste. She wasn't going to let that happen again.
"Do we honestly look like the kind of girls that know our way around a kitchen much less our way around a bunch of shit we couldn't throw together and make from scratch? Like we're just a couple of Betty Crockers here." She laughed and sat down at the picnic table next to her sister. Grabbing a little plastic fork, she started to dive in as she looked at the little engravings on the table. Names, gang symbols, stuff she didn't recognize until she saw a pair of boobs carved between her and her sister's plates. Rolling her eyes she looked at Gareth who seemed to be staring off into the distance. She wasn't sure she really wanted him to be a part of this conversation as he had already been far too hands on with her and her sister already.
"Alright then, so it's settled. Tomorrow we fix the bikes and take off with you guys."
