Ivar was in deep sleep when Aubrey woke up, all he sensed was slight movements in bed, which he didn`t want to bother with. In his dreams he heard the echo of a familiar voice call out to him, a female voice that told him to wake up. He wriggled and turned, trying to avoid it, then suddenly a set of pants landed on top of him. Annoyed he immediately pulled the blanket over his head, wishing to sleep longer. Yesterday had been tiring, he needed to rest, and truth be told he was a sleepyhead. What seemed like a few seconds turned to minutes, the sun moved its position slightly and as the beams of light hit his face, he woke up.
Whilst yawning he stretched out, slowly opening his eyes to the daylight. He turned to look at the side, hoping to see his beloved Aubrey, but she was gone, she wasn`t there. Frantically he sat up and looked around the room, trying to see if he could spot her. Because he had been in deep sleep he hadn`t even noticed she had left the apartment, nor did he know where to find her. He assumed the worst and feared what might have happened, he had heard stories about people who just wandered off when they got bit, only to turn a monster alone without bothering their loved ones. Ivar hoped that wasn`t the case, because he loved her and he couldn`t imagine a world without her.
"Hello?...Aubrey?" He called out in a low voice, not wanting to attract unwanted attention. Once seated with his feet out of the bed, he reached and grabbed his clothes. Quickly getting dressed and afterwards went about the apartment to look for signs of her, hoping she wasn`t far. When he didn`t find her he was left in thought at the center of the room, her clothes weren`t there, which meant she had to have gotten dressed. He remembered they had spoken about searching the area for more supplies, although he hoped she hadn`t done it alone. She should have waited in that case, yet he knew how stubborn she could be.
Since she wasn`t in the apartment, he had to look elsewhere. Ivar decided to head on out, but before he did anything, he grabbed his weapons, flashlight and backpack. Cautiously he moved over to the outer door, opened it slowly and peeked out into the hallway. It was dark and empty, no walkers in sight. He stepped into the hall, looking up and down the staircase. Since the staircase up was blocked by rubble, the only way she could have gone was down, unless she went into another apartment. He headed down the stairs in a fast pace, glancing left and right in case someone tried to jump him. As he reached the bottom, he walked out the door and onto the streets.
He heard voices in the distance, someone was talking, it was then he noticed a group of figures not far off. It had to be Aubrey! He thought and hurried over with the gun drawn. As he approached stealthily he could clearly see it was her, but she wasn`t alone. Three others were there, but the little one ran off as he got closer. "Aubrey!" Ivar called out, wanting to get their attention. His gun was at the ready, aimed at the man. From his position he couldn`t clearly see the other woman. "You alright? Who are they?" He asked Aubrey concerned walking over, stopping as he reached her side.
