Hazel lent on the bonnet, it was that moment Calida softly placed her hand on Hazel's shoulder and pulled her aside. Any frustration within her vanished with the Calida warm touch. Even now all Hazel wanted to do was kiss her, but this was not the time.
" I think it's time we went full force in, We can't wait any longest" Calida soft words made Hazel's face dropped, " It's either go full in now or wave the White flag to Portland."
Hazel could hardly believe she was going to pull this order, but she trusted Calida's judgment that it needed to be done and that was enough to her. With that she took out her radio and pressed the button to speak.
" Central put me on broadcast and get the Bell to my location," Hazel waited a second as she looked towards the others and then spoke again but this time her voice was broadcast over the speakers echoing across the town," ALL PERSONAL, ALL PERSONAL WE ARE NOW AT LEVEL ONE, ALL UNITS AND CIVILIANS ARE TO REMAIN WITHIN THE WALL. CODE 2457"
With these words a siren rang out across the town and then a second voice came across the speakers echoing Hazel's same orders.
Hazel returned to the Humvee. They had fuel for two days. She needed the coming battle finished quickly.
"All Routes South and routes East of us are to be blocked by morning. All troops will fall back within friendly walls and make their stand or make route up north to a larger battle group," Hazel took a pause to take a gulp of wine," We are in Kane, but when this battle is over we need a proper talk. For this battle in Portland, I'm going to take a hell of punch from my South and loose more than half my area. "
Calida took a step towards the British group,
" I would suggest your force take an advisor stand, any involvement will convince some factions that you are here for other reasons and when the battle is over the last thing we need is a civil war." Calida stood strong, " For a union to form, you need to keep British troops out of the battle to come. But on that note there would be no harm having personal take up a defensive position within Kanes settlement and with Winchester Bay. It would free up a lot of personal."
Hazel passed the bottle to Kane as a sign she was willing to share and trust him.
" Calida, I want the Viraat or as the British known her, the Hermes launched and up the coast. Mackenzie I have an active Aircarrier with six active Harriers. I would appreciate any helping hands and fuel you could spare so we can make ever airstrike count on Portland." Hazel jumped into the Humvee " Mackenzie, Kane with me, we are going up to these monks ourselves. We can talk on route. Kane you can take the reins of my Bell and fly us up to these monks. "
Hazel watched as the Bell Model 407 made a soft landing next to the British Helicopter, but the engine kept running as Hazel made her way towards the Helicopter. As she approached she held her hand up to display she wanted five Sheriffs to remain on board. The rest jumped off.
