As the group reached the docking area for the boats Jordan can see the docks and a boat sitting there from a distance from the road. While Jordan continues to walk with the group she notices how quiet and calm it is. She feels it's to quiet. Almost like something seems wrong or out of place. Jordan stops for a moment as the group passes by her and then she picks up the rear seeing everyone is accounted for. So she thought anyway as her sister did her disappearing act again for a moment. Toni-Lynn been doing this disappearing act for six months now even before her and her sister Jordan even met up with these people. Although Jordan thought nothing of it she did feel something was off about her sister disappearing like this for the past six months.
Toni-Lynn then comes up behind Jordan following her and the group. Jordan notices then her sister was missing from the group for a moment. Hey, Toni where did you go? Jordan asked her sister out of concern. I just had to use the bushes. I been holding it since we were in the sewers. Toni-Lynn said to Jordan trying to hide from Jordan her true purpose for disappearing. Okay... Well don't do that again, Toni. It's to dangerous to wonder off alone out here. We all have to be careful out here and we can not leave each others side. Jordan said to Toni- Lynn protectively.
Heather walked front of the group with Kull, she kept one eye on him as she knew him all to well and the signs when he heard things. She kept at a pace every once in a while turning to make sure she hasn't gone to far ahead of the group.
Heather couldn't help but notice Jordon and her sister stopping for a conversion about toiletries. Heather shuck her head in discuss knowing time was against them and every time Kull looked around he looked at the same spot.
" For crying out loud, we need to move and get to the boat. Something or someone I mean is behind us. From the look of Kull I think there living, "
The boat was with in sight and stopping now was just foolish in her mind. She may not be the leader of the rag tag group but she knew they needed to be pushed. " Let's move" She had survived this long in the city cause of Kull, he was quicker at picking up the danger's and knowing when to move.
Jordan hears what Heather says about needing to keep moving to get to the boat on time and the fact her dog Kull senses something behind the group that just doesn't seem right. Jordan grabs her sister by the arm dragging her along for a second giving her the indication to keep moving with the group. Jordan picks up the rear of the group again and she notices how Heather's dog stops for a few seconds every so often looking back behind the group while his tail and ears raise up in a alert position looking like he senses something wrong.
Jordan looks back as she keeps walking with the group, but she doesn't see anything behind the group. Jordan pulls out her hand gun checking her ammo and then keeps it in her right hand holding it at her side just in case. She really starts getting a unsettling feeling as she keeps watching Kull and looks back with him feeling something is really wrong. Okay we need to pick up the pace. That dog keeps looking back behind us like he senses something wrong and it's making me feel very unsettled. Jordan says to the group.
Suddenly a piece of a building falls to the ground near them off to the right as it fell off of one of the roof tops. Jordan trains her gun at it quickly while looking all around that direction for any signs of trouble, but sees nothing. Then Heather's dog starts growling at the building while standing in a sudden attack stands.
With the piece of building on the ground, Heather felt a bad feelings running through her nine times over and Kull just reinforced her feelings. Heather drew her sword knowing that Kull's actions spoke volumes, the main one was that the living were near by and she could only gather that it wasn't to say hello.
Out of nowhere Heather watched as two men tried to rush her, one with a bat and second with crowbar. She paid little attention to Kull knowing that he could take care of himself, all she heard of him was growling and then a noise of something in his mouth. First was the men with the bat, Heather slowed her breathing and kept relaxed not wanting to panic herself. As he swung his bat the force he swung with worked against him, Heather took a quick step back to let his swing miss and she returned the swing with a stab to his chest. Her strike made the man with the crowbar freeze for a second in fear, which gave Heather the time to lay a cut along the man with the bat chest and making him hit the ground hard. She felt the adrenaline building up in body and her grip tighten on her sword. At that moment she remembered when teaching she would hit hard on her pupils if they had ever held a grip like she just did then. Taken relaxed breaths she scoped the next attacker and loosened her grip like she use to tell her pupils.' Grip the weapon as if you have a small bird in your hand ' It was line she picked in her own training.
As she loosened her grip she gave the man a second so she could contemplate his move. He swung a non blow and as a result Heather lay a deep cut along his right arm forcing him to take the crowbar in his left hand. Than a second light cut along chest before he could react and that was the moment fear took over as his face dripped of it. With his crowbar the man fell back wounded as his comrade now lay temporary dead. Her attention quickly turned to were Kull was, straight away she saw how lucky she was to have Kull as his mouth was wrapped around a third mans arm and preventing him from firing his gun. She called Kull and straight away he let go of his grip as her sword pierced his chest. His weapon hit the ground and then his body.
Heather turned to the rest of the party unaware how they went on,

Through the sewer labyrinth the group had traveled to the docks and as they got closer to an exit, the draft of wind was felt and the smell of sea air. At the end of the tunnel, light was disappearing in the horizon. They had to hurry, twilight was upon them. Luke had jumped onto Marcus`s back as they walked, and with one hand, Marcus held onto Samantha. He never wanted to leave them ever again, not after what had happened. It had been just barely that they managed to survive their encounter with the walkers, though they were still in danger. Any moment a walker or herd could pop up and they would need to fight their way through, they couldn`t relax, not yet anyways.
As they stepped out of the tunnel where the filth ran into the sea, they could finally see their destination ahead, the boat with the crew lay anchored by the end of the road, and it wasn`t far. Walking alongside the others, Marcus smiled at his daughter, trying to calm her down. She was still shaken after her incident and by the look of things she didn`t seem like herself anymore, something had changed. How Toni-Lynn could leave the kids to fend for themselves was beyond him, though he felt worse for allowing a stranger to take care of them.
He allowed Heather to lead the way with her dog, whereas he rather wanted to focus on the kids. When Toni-Lynn traced her way back to Jordan, he turned to watch them and began to ponder the same questions Jordan asked, where had she been? The answers that Toni-Lynn gave was simple, stating she had been in the bushes, but it wasn`t the first time she had all of sudden left them. Thinking back, he remembered she wasn`t there when they dragged up his children from the vent. It seemed odd that she would do such things, though decided to let the thought pass.
Looking around Marcus felt an eerie silence, it was to quiet and he knew the others sensed it too, everyone was preparing for the worst. Within short time it became clear they weren`t alone, the dog gave it away when it turned to several directions. Rubble fell from one of the roofs and shortly after they were charged by two strangers, one carrying a bat and the other a crowbar. Staying back, Marcus sheltered his kids as he allowed the girls to take care of it. When Heather sliced and cut the men open, he placed his hands in front of his daughter`s eyes.

In the distant waters visible from where they stood a boat armed with two guards and the captain. Steadily it came closer into view toward the docks. "Boat should be arriving in a few hope your there.." The redheads voice announced over the radio
As Jordan sees a couple of bandits come out from behind the buildings around them and sees Heather dealt with them quickly while a third came out and Kull the dog dealt with the man. Jordan then turns to her sister Toni-Lynn only to find her running to the bandits who come out from behind the buildings on the ground in back of the group and out from behind the roof tops above them. Jordan screams to her sister in fear of her safety. Toni!? What are you doing!? Then it becomes clear to Jordan and the rest of the group seeing one of the bandits handing Toni-Lynn a AK 74 U submachine gun and they open fire at the group.
Jordan takes cover behind one of the abandon cars in the streets while grabbing Samantha's hand and yells to Marcus while he's holding his son Luke. Get down now, Cowboy! Jordan then returns fire and yells to Heather as well. Get down, Heather! Take cover now![/i Jordan takes out a few of the bandits, but her sister Toni-Lynn open fires at Jordan forcing her to take cover again. Toni-Lynn! I'm gonna kick your fracking butt when we get out of this! Jordan yells to her sister across the way. Jordan then whispers to herself, but the kids and Marcus can hear what she whispers. Ugh.... I'm gonna kill that bitch! After all this time she been working with these thugs! Er.... that bitch is dead when I get my hands on her.
Suddenly the gun fire stop and a man comes out from behind the bandits up on the roof top of one the buildings. He puts one foot up on the highest part of the roof and leans with both arms on his knee.Alright! Now that we have your undivided attention... Listen up. We just want your women and children and we'll let you live. You can walk away from all this alive and in one piece. It's your choice young man. Of course you can keep the dog though. The man says to Marcus loud enough for his whole group to hear him.
In the mean while Jordan hears Francesca on the radio telling them that the boat will be there shortly and that she hopes they are there at the docks. Jordan closes her eyes shaking her head. You got to be kidding me! If that's not the boat at the docks then who's boat is that then!? Jordan says out loud to herself. Jordan then hands the mic to Marcus after taking it off around her neck.Here. You talk to her. I'll keep them off us. Jordan says to Marcus.
Heather ducked behind some of the falling rubble as Jordon gave out a shout to cover and then Heather called for Kull to come beside her for cover. Finally she realised why Jordan's s sister was dragging her heels and had slowed the group down so much. Heathers skill was with the sword, but with guns was a different story and not a good one. If she had of been good shot she would of put one in the back of Jordan's sisters head there and then. Heather kept her head down as bullets hit over head, by the way they shot at her it was clear they wanted them alive and with men down already it was clear at any cost. Finally a man appeared over head and spoke
"Alright! Now that we have your undivided attention... Listen up. We just want your women and children and we'll let you live. You can walk away from all this alive and in one piece. It's your choice young man. Of course you can keep the dog though
Heather looked up to the man direct and spoke "First the dog is not his to keep and second is you want us unhurt other wise you would of killed us by now. Third how many man have you already lost, why don't you cut your losses and leave."

What happened next was almost unbelievable; Toni-Lynn was turning tail to join the attackers who had them surrounded. Just as she was handed an automatic rifle by their supposed leader, they were fired upon and Jordan commanded Marcus to take cover quickly. She took hold of Samantha`s hand, leading her out of the fray and Marcus jumped to cover with his son on the back, allowing him to get off afterwards. Terrified he hunched over his kids, looking concerned at Jordan before turning to Heather who had taken cover behind some rubble. Marcus still had his shotgun in one hand and his pistol holstered to the belt, no way was he going to allow them to threaten his children.
From time to time he would peek over the edge of the car and fire at whoever got to close, and he as well his children could hear how pissed off Jordan became at her sister. After a moment, the shooting stopped and there was silence. Then their leader spoke up and demanded Marcus to hand over the women. It was outrageous, how could someone ask that. Could it be the same men who had taken his sister? He wondered and felt the need to find out, but then the radio turned back on and Francesca tried to communicate. The boat was nearly there, they just had to hang on a little more.
Listening to Jordan`s confused question, he didn`t know what to tell her, he had no idea who else was on the boat in the distance, perhaps it was a decoy? Being handed the radio Marcus had no choice but to deal with it, meanwhile Heather gave the thugs an answer, refusing to give in into their demands. “You need to arrive now, we are surrounded!” He replied to Francesca in a quiet voice, not allowing the strangers to hear. “Tell your men to give cover fire, we`ll make a run for it.”
Looking across the water he could see the rescue was getting closer and with a glance back at Jordan, he said. “We need to move, we can`t stay here. On my mark, you all run to the boat.” Pumping the shotgun ready, Marcus answered the leader. “No way!” As he said that, he stood up and began to fire at the enemy, giving the others time to run towards the shoreline. “Now! Go, go!” He shouted.
As Jordan sat there for a minute listening to Heather yell to the bandits and then later Marcus yell to make a run for it while he cover fire for the group. Jordan got up grabbing the kids running towards Heather and her dog Kull. When Jordan reached Heather her and the kids ducked behind the rubble with Heather. Heather, the kids, Kull, and you will run for the boat. I'll cover you from here. Jordan then looks to Samantha and Luke while placing her hands on Samantha's and Luke's cheeks. Don't worry kids. I promise your father will get on the boat with you both safe and sound. I'll die before I let anything happen to you kids and your father. Jordan says to the kids with a motherly affection towards them.
Jordan then peeks over the rubble and open fires on the bandits. Go! Go now, Heather! Run! As Jordan and Marcus both continue to fire on the bandits they too open fire feeling that they won't get the women and children without a fight.
Suddenly, Toni-Lynn yells out to the group. Jordie! Give it up! We got you all surrounded! There is no way out of this! Just give up those kids and the woman to them and they'll take us in! They'll give us protection! Hell they'll even make us squad leaders of our own squads of our choosing! Just give us what we want! They are not your responsibility! Hell they aren't even your kin! Jordan just get more angry at her sister. Toni-Lynn! I ever get my hands you I'm gonna kill you! You bitch! Your not getting the kids and your not getting Heather! You bitch! Jordan yells to her sister out of pure anger at Toni-Lynn.
Jordan runs back to Marcus as the bandits shoot at her and the bullets snap at the ground just behind her feet while she runs to Marcus. Just when Jordan reaches Marcus, Toni-Lynn gets a lucky shot off hitting her sister Jordan in the right leg just above the knee and then hits her again in the left shoulder. Jordan goes down face first into the ground and just lays there not moving. Jordan's scream could be heard far and wide when she got shot twice before hitting the ground laying there as if she was lifeless.
Suddenly the gun fire stop. Now you see what you did young man! You just got one of your own killed! Come on boy...! We just want your kids and your women! I promise my men and I will take good care of them! Hell..! I'll even take your kids in as if they were my own and the women as if they were my family! You have my word on it son! there's no need for anymore blood shed! The leader of the bandits said to Marcus in a friendly tone of voice like if he was doing Marcus a favor.
Heather placed her arms on the girls shoulders and on Jordons mark made a run for it to undercover. Kull got to the cover spot before Heather had even reached half way. She could only hope Jordon was on there side and not just playing along. But it wasn't till Jordon got shot in the leg that she thoroughly believed her to be with them.
Heather had been in the city since the outbreaks, this hadn't been the first time she encounter people like these and it wouldn't be the last. She could account all occasions, men seeing her as an easy target and of no danger. It would be when they got close that she could ever do her tru damage. Today was different, these guys had guns and she wasn't on her own which changed things.

The boat steadily got closer toward the shore. Both the guards had been informed by Francesca over the radio. Bullets flew from the rescue as it got closer. Unfortunately the two gunman were only informed of a man and his children and a another women going by weird nicknames. Other then those vague descriptions whoever didn't fit were the enemy at the moment or going to arrested upon entering the boat. Finally it came to stop at the end of one of the docks but the gunfire from it didn't.

Marcus aimed his shotgun at the nearest enemy and fired, killing three in one blow. He then aimed at the next and did the same, killing two more. After pumping the shotgun again he continued until the others were out of harms way, giving them cover fire, whilst hoping the boat would be there soon. Every now and then he ducked behind cover to not get hit in the crossfire, and as he turned to look at the others, he noticed that Jordan managed to get his kids to Heather, who then told them to run towards the shoreline. Once Jordan joined Marcus in the shooting, Toni-Lynn shouted out to them trying to reason with her sister, but it was all for naught.
The battle was intense and as the rescuers arrived by boat, they joined the fray. However they immediately began to fire in Heather`s direction who came running with the kids, apparently they hadn`t got enough details on who was the enemy. When Marcus noticed this he panicked and reached for the radio, quickly telling Fran. “Don`t shoot the red-haired woman and her dog, they are friendly, she`s helping my kids!” Shortly after he could see Jordan sprinting towards his location, and bullets followed in her heels.
Just as she reached him, Toni-Lynn fired and got lucky, hitting her own sister twice. Face first Jordan landed hard against the ground, unable to move. Her screams echoed throughout the entire area, no doubt drawing unwanted attention. Marcus couldn`t believe it, was she dead? No she couldn`t be! How could Toni-Lynn do such a thing? Without thinking more about it, he grabbed Jordan`s hand and dragged her to his lap. Checking for her pulse, he discovered she was still alive, but severely wounded. The wounds she got didn`t look good and she was bleeding heavily, they had to get out of there.
“Hey, stay with me…you`ll be alright, just hold on.” He said to her and thought of what to do next, knowing he couldn`t fight back with her in trouble. For a moment the shooting stopped and the leader spoke again, he was trying to convince Marcus that giving up was for the best and that he would take care of the children. The very thought agitated Marcus, no chance in hell was he going to leave his kids in the hand of a madman. “If you think I`m that stupid, think again! We ain`t giving up and you`ll get none!” With that answer he knew they would begin to fight again.
Without caring about the consequences, Marcus lifted Jordan up with both arms and carried her across the field, making a run for it toward the boat. It was a risky plan, but he had to do it. If she didn`t get medical help soon, it would get a lot worse. Bullets continued to fly through the air and Marcus stayed focus, he wasn`t going to let Jordan die. When he reached the boat where everyone else was standing, he fell forwards in pain, dropping Jordan. Marcus had been hit in the back by someone and now he was in trouble.
As Jordan laid there she can hear the bandit leader speaking to Marcus and heard Marcus replied to the leader. Jordan then feels Marcus dragging her body to cover laying her on his lap and she begins to fade slowly as everything becomes a blur. The bandits started firing again at Marcus, Heather and the kids, and now as well as at the boat that arrived. As Jordan becomes unconscious her life begins to flash before her eyes seeing a bright white ball of light and she starts going towards the light. As she continues towards the light images start flowing through her mind of Marcus' kids, but feels like to her the images are flashes of her own kids. However, Jordan never had kids of her own, but she always hoped someday she would have her own kids with a good husband who is a good father to them.
Jordan wakes up again for a moment feeling her body being carried and hearing all gun fire around her before fading away again. As Jordan continues to fade in and out of consciousness because of her injuries with the lost of blood her breathing also starts becoming more shallow and finally everything just black with silence. Jordan remains motionless as the clock in ticking now and she doesn't have much time left. Time is definitely not on her side and it's looking more and more grim for her.
Heather sat low in the boat with the kids beside her as Kull still kept his head up as one of the boat men returned fire and as the other began to stear the boat. Heather realised the two would need medical attention quick and with the others occupied, she knew she need to do something.
" OK Samantha I need you be strong cause I'm going to need your help. I know it's tough but your father needs you to be strong and you need to be strong for your brother too. So here's what we'll do. Before I can help your father I needed to stop Jordan's bleeding cause if I don't she won't make it. "
As Heather took a quick glance over Jordon she realised Jordon was losing blood fast as first taught, she wasn't the best in First aid but she knew enough from the books she'd read. She sat up over Jordon and made sure she was lying flat.
" OK Samantha , I need you to get my first aid kit from my bag, now be careful as I have sharp objects in my bag."
Once Heather was given her first aid kit she cut through Jordon's clothing around the wound, the wound looked as if it had hit a main blood vessel and all Heather could do was to place gauze on the wound. Than she rapped around the leg the bandage hoping it give her time for proper care treatment, next she place a bag under Jordon's leg hoping it prevent some more blood loss by raising the leg.
" That all I can do, now Samantha keep an eye on the wound and if the bandage begins to go red call me, I'm going to see to your father."
As the boat rocked Heather moved over to Marcus on her nee's, not wanting to fall over board even do there was little chance. Heather looked to Kull who was now watching over board as the city moved out of reach and all the while keeping one eye on her. All Heather could do was make him comfortable. Heather turned to the kids.
" Until your father is back on his feet, I'll keep an eye on you two. So you don't need to worry, I'm here." With that Heather crossed her fingers hoping that he won't die, more for not want to kids to look after at the moment.

The rescue ship left once all of extractions were aboard. Bullets still being exchanged between the gunmen on the boat and the enemy from what they were told. With deep breaths the two men walked over toward the injured. One of them keeping a eye on Heather with suspicion before going to work on treating them.
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
