Colette stood there, listening to the two of them talking like she was a piece of meat, unable to make her own decisions. She felt Cade pull away from her and charge at Acer again.
Cade was right, Acer was flat out forcing her to do this. Her choices were go and be his fuck toy for the night, or refuse and go to war. She knew the people in her bar and hotel didn't want to die. She knew they would fight to their last breaths to survive, but didn't want to have to do that. They had men with guns, and a few surprises, but was it enough. She was afraid not.
Her mind was racing , pissed that Cade of all people would say that to her. She would loose his respect! For trying to give everyone a chance, he would hate her for giving in. Then she heard it, that sickening sound came from Cade. Colette felt her heart plummet as she realized what had happened. Her eyes saw the blade covered in blood in Acer's hand. " arcade." He sank to his knees. Her whole would crumpled with him. He had been her rock for so long. All she saw was his blood on that blade.
James, he was there, confronting Acer. Tanya. She drug Cade away. Was he dead, dying? Her words stung Colette. Little bitch, she had no idea what was even happening! Everyone acted like Colette wanted this shit, like she had a fucking choice! She did NOT have a choice! Her eyes raked over Acer, as she stood up. When had she dropped to her knees? She didn't remember. Her only focus was the knife in Acer's hand.
Angel had been standing there staring at it all. She had heard it all. Acer was an evil fucker. He was forcing Colette into this. Cade strode out there, unable to stand by and watch this happen. She spoke to him softly as he left the doorway," don't do it." Angel knew by looking at her that Colette had made her choice. She would do it to save them all. It made Angel sick.
James burst past her through the door before she could stop him. This was getting out of control. She stood there feeling helpless to do anything. Cade went for Acer and then, she saw it. The blade, the blood. Frozen. Tanya moved past her, yelled at Colette and Acer, dragging Cade back. Angel watched in horror. She growled and charged out into the street." You sick mother fucker!!" She strode straight for Acer, pistol raised.
Holly stood in the kitchen , double and triple checking the supplies. She'd spent the night making bandaged out of ripped up towels and sheets. She'd scrounged for needle and thread, anything the could use. Hell, she'd even found a few tubes of super glue if they got that desperate. She had boiled and sterilized instruments and laid out sterile trays for them to use. Holly did anything to keep herself busy and to not think about what might happen.
Right before the knock on the door, she had walked right up to Andrei and kissed him. When she pulled back, she had stared at him and grinned," just in case I don't get another chance to do that." The banging on the door had broke that discussion apart , as she listened and waited.
Tanya's screams broke her thoughts and she grabbed a few things and ran out of the kitchen. Going over to Cade, she dropped to her knees." We need to get him into the kitchen." Holly moved to her feet and placed her arms under his armpits and started to drag him towards the kitchen.
Sam stood watching and waiting . Damon was ready, just waiting as well. The scream from Tanya made her shut the door to their room." Damon, what do we do?" She was shaking," it's starting." She looked at him and rushed over to the bed. She heard a female voice screaming at someone. It was Angel screaming at Acer. She grabbed Damon by the back of his head and pulled him towards her. She kissed him," just in case this is our end, thank you for being her for me." She smiled against his lips, then released him.
Sam sat next to him on the bed and faced the door. She would cover his back if they got inside.
"Then where the fuck has this Luca been. He ain't even come around. Seen him more hanging around some dude than you. You sure this boytoy ain't secretly gay? Suckin' on the other guys dick. You fuckin' a fag Remy. You ain't leavin without him, I get that, but he ain't even here for you. If he gave a shit he would be here right now to protect you."
Arden looked again, watching someone come drag the stabbed man away. He gripped the bottle Remy handed him tighter. There was another guy, someone Remy called James. She said she saved him, seems everyone was saving everyone.
He grabbed his own lighter and lit the bottle. The stab was enough for him to strike. He tossed the bottle from the window, at all the people gathered out on the street. He didn't know if it would hit, but it would cause some chaos. The angle wasn't right, but he had a chance of striking.
He turned back to Remy, pushing up against the wall.
Arcade felt someone grab him by his shoulders. He himself being dragged. His boots scraped song the ground. He saw Collette, James shouting to take him. He looked at Collette as he entered the door.
"Don't do it," he said to Collette as he passed. He groaned in pain, why did he taste blood. He gripped the door frame. Tanya had pulled him in, he didn't even think the girl could carry him. She must be running on pure adrenaline.
He saw the inside of the bar as he fell inside. Angel stormed past him, pure anger as always. He was still holding his side. "Andrei, the redhead, somebody get them," he said through gritted teeth.
The Redhead appeared and started to drag him with Tanya to the kitchen. Cad a linked heavier. He was loosing lots of blood, hands stained red with blood. I
Once Cade was out of the way, James came out to offer himself to the sacrifice. The time for negotiation was over, Colette and Cade had made sure of that. He had no intention of screwing Colette and leaving them alone. Either way, it was his full intention to make them all walkers and take over the hotel and bar that would be left empty.
"Come on Colette. Let's go work on that truce."
He grabbed her arm and held tightly as he started to drag her towards the framing shop apartment when the molotov cocktail came flying down. With a smirk, he felt the heat behind them as the flames burned wild. catching papers in the street on fire. Another woman came out screaming at him as she dragged Cade back towards the building, but his main target was right in front of his face. He tucked the switchblade, blade out, back inside the front pocket loosely with the handle still sticking out before reaching for his gun.
He stopped walking and turned slightly, looking James directly in the eyes as he answered the man.
"Well, if you insist." He pulled up the gun and fired off a shot, hitting James squarely in the chest. He had no intention of hitting between the eyes but he did have every intention to strike him in the heart and bring him down. He fired off a few more shots at Angel, not even sure if he was going to hit her as she moved back towards the building before bringing the gun to Colette's head.
"The difference between you and me? My animals are under control. Yours run wild. And you know, as hunters, we enjoy the kill of a wild animal."
His voice rose to the point where it echoed down the street.
"Shit!" Those were the only words he could speak as the shots were fired off at James and Angel and when the older guy called for his men to start firing on them, he took the initiative to take out the guy across the street. The flames and smoke made it a little harder and honestly, he hated trying to sniper. Too many variables that worked against him when he tried to do that, but with the wind visible from the flames that came from the cocktail, he was able to figure out the trajectory of the bullet and fire off that one, fatal shot.
Being on the bottom floor made him a target, but an idea came to mind. In the midst of it all, he would get Luca out of here. The blonde had disappeared with two guys, one of which he heard was her cousin. If she had family it was likely she had very little use for Luca and he had a feeling she was more into that Dan guy anyways. He wasn't going to let some girl break his friend's heart, but he also wondered if Luca was going to come willingly. Luca was a loyal dog when it came down to it all, but who was he going to by loyal to?
He slipped between the buildings, into the courtyard and started yelling out.
Dan saw the bottle hit below. It was Missed Acer, missed the target. He quickly grabbed a bottle of his own. He reached into his pocket for the matches. His fingers fumbled around, grabbing the book. Pulling it out he lit a match and lit the bottle. Aiming down he tossed it just beyond the fire, hoping to take out any of Acer's men approaching.
He went to go light another, grabbing another match. Then he felt it. A bullet. It tore through his side. He saw the spray on blood, stumbling back. The butler crashed beside him, the contents spilling all over the floor. Dam stumbled back. Headed against the bed. Blood was coming out his side. The bullet went clean through, bleeding on both sides.
Dan tried to call, but no sound came out. He pushed himself up the best he could, banging into the wall. He banged again, and again. He couldn't make it downstairs, not on his own. He would die here, there was no one to save him.
Dan felt his knees go weak as he collapsed against the wall one more time. He hoped the banging would alert someone, Remy, Arden, anyone on the floor.

"Ugh, Arden, why are you so crude?" She knew why. He was a bywater redneck that wasn't schooled in class. He was always doing his best to get under her skin. He was worse with Ellie, what she could remember, and she honestly wouldn't doubt it if Ellie just ran away to get away from him. "He knows I can hold my own." Although this situation was different. This was far more dangerous and she had confessed to him how nervous she was about this. He told her not to worry before heading off to take to his post, but she also knew that Simon had his ear and could influence, just as Arden started to influence her. In the beginning, after she first kissed him, he turned ten shades of red and she apologized to him if he wasn't into her, joking that maybe Randall was more his type. That was their first night being intimate together. He told her he wasn't good with this sort of thing and sometimes, it felt like a struggle with him. She wasn't good at relationships either, but she wasn't completely incompetent with them. She really wasn't sure it was supposed to be this difficult to figure out either.
Arden tossed the molotov cocktail down and it exploded in the street, missing the intended target. "Dammit, we're too far away."
When she saw Acer raise his gun and fire just as quickly at James and the door, she cried out. "James! No!"
And just as quickly, the exchange of gunfire started between the buildings. She saw the ricochet of bullets bouncing off the brick by their window and she crouched down, crawling towards the bed to at least give herself some protection in case a bullet went through the wall. A few doors down, she heard the breaking of glass, soon followed by the thumping of fists against the wall. She knew Arden could hold his own as she scrambled towards the door. She got to her feet as soon as she saw Dan on the floor, in the hallway covered in the spray of his own blood.
"Oh my God, Dan!" She raced to him and peeled his jacket off as she stayed at his side, looking for the bullet wound in hopes of trying to stop the bleeding. The damage was pretty extensive though and without Andrei right here, right now, she wasn't sure if she could do anything that could be helpful. She bunched up his jacket and pressed it hard against the wound. "Stay with me, Dan. You're gonna be okay. I promise. We'll get you downstairs."

To much was happening down below for him to see. From what he could make out was someone was stabbed, someone yelled at the two leaders while dragging said stab victim. Then another order was given by whom he figured was Acer. Kill them all. I want them as walkers. Wide eyed for a bit, he heard and saw the gunfire coming from the buildings across from him. Laying down flat, bullets riddled the wall where his torso was just leaning against. Rolling a bit, Victor was next to the propane tank. Grabbing a hold on it, he crawled away from the small wall and dragged the tank with him. Now halfway across the roof, he stood up. Running forward, he quickly stopped in his tracks and under hand tossed the tank. Kneeling down, he saw the tank bounce hard across the road. The sound of the gas leaking was heard as he took aim and fired two bullets. The first missed, but the second hit its mark. The propane tank blew up taking a wall out. A couple of Acer's men couldn't escape as debris flew into them. Flipping the switch, he was now on full auto. Doing quick aims, Victor began to fire at any target that popped up. His rifle began blasting rounds out as others in the hotel began firing.
"If I survive this, I'm going to need a fucking drink." Three of Acer's men appeared on the roof across from him. Adjusting his aim, he unloaded the rest of his clip into them. Blood, dust, and even brains went flying everywhere. Laying back down, he swapped clips with the empty now in the clip holders on his belt. He quickly got up and ran for the door. Bursting through it, he down the stairs and went to the Room he set up himself. But as he approached it, bullet holes riddled the wall and door. That would mean that the sentry inside was dead. So he ran downstairs to the bar area where the sight wasn't any better. Hell has just broken out. And he was going to kill as many as he could. Grabbing a flipped over table, he took it to one of the boarded windows. Aiming through the gaps between the boards. His assault rifle erupted in gunfire again at the different targets firing at the hotel.
Tanya was running down the hall of the second floor when she heard an explosion of one of the moltovs hitting the ground. Running into one of the bedrooms to see the sight of Acer putting a round into Jame's chest then shot a few rounds at Angel. Horror, fear and hate built up inside her as she yelled out. "NOOOOOO! YOU FUCKING BASTARD!"Raising the AK-74U up, she aimed down the barrel and saw Colette being dragged with gun at her head. She had a clear shot of Acer now as he moved to the frame shop. "Colette! Drop down!" Tanya yelled out, she pulled the trigger back as the AK began to blast rounds at Acer now. Bullets began to blast around her. As she jumped out of the way, a stray bullet grazed her right shoulder. Yelling in pain, she fed her anger with the pain. Standing back up, she aimed at those that were firing at them now. Firing her Ak until the first clip was now empty. Jumping over the bed behind her, she dropped the first clip and fed the next clip. Pulling back the receiver and she was now ready to fire again as more gun fire erupted from the hotel to the animals that Acer had under his control. Then an explosion from across the street made her fall to the ground. Looking back over the window, the building across the way had blew up. The front of it now had a massive hole in it as a propane tank blew up from someone shooting it. More bullets hit around her location. Running to the door, she simply rammed it breaking the door. She fell to the floor as she was now in the hall. Getting back to her feet, she ran up the hall way where she had stashed a few of the Moltovs the following night. Grabbing one of them, she took out one of the Bic lighters from her pocket. "Good thing a bullet didn't hit this...I'd be fucked if it did." Running into another room, she lit the soaked cloth. Getting to the window that was now fully shot out, she heaved it as hard as she could watching it fly across the street. It burst across a window seal making one of Acer's men draw back from it as the man's upper body was lit in fire. She could hear the screams. But pain hit her. Looking down, she saw a bullet had struck her in the stomach. Feeling weak, she fell to her knees as she began to scream in pain even more. Putting pressure on the wound with her right arm, she used her left arm to help crawl out of the room. Blood poured out of her as she reached the hallway. Ripping her shirt off. She pressed it onto the wound. She knew the bullet didn't exit out the back for the front was the only thing that hurt.
She cried out as best as she could. "Help...me..." Then her sobbing was heard as she laid there. 'Am I going to die here? I can't die yet...I'm to young to die. Please god...if there is a god...help me...I didn't even find out what happened to papa...' She thought to herself, laying there as blood began to pool around her. Her vision was starting to blur a bit. Dragging herself again, she was further out from the door and now laid in the middle of the hallway. She could hear one of the men shout out from outside. "I got that Russian Bitch! Wooaaah!" Tears just poured out of her as the pain was unbearable. Lifting up the shirt from her wound, she saw the bullet wound was small. Most likely from a handgun. Quickly, she placed the shirt back down and tried to press it hard onto the wound. She could hear foot steps approaching her. But she couldn't tell how many or if they were going to help her. They were in a battle now. Was she going to die there or was somebody going to help her. She didn't know.
Acer's men were stationed all around the building. There was one spot that was empty as really, there just weren't enough men to cover every window and every door. When the cry of Acer echoed across the streets, the gunfire started, shattering windows, bouncing off brick and aiming for anyone inside. They weren't exactly in a safe zone either as Colette's people fired back. A firebomb had been thrown to the street below and a bullet aimed for Dan as Arden pulled back into the room.
A man on the roof went down from Simon's shot, tumbling to the ground and landing with his head splattering open. Victor's rounds took their toll as well as bullets streamed through the open windows, taking out a few more men.
The gunfire was rapid, then silent. Then rapid again as people poked their heads out on both sides. Two of Acer's men saw the futility of all this. They dropped their weapons and started to run. Another one of the men aimed for cars, flattening some tires so if they tried to flee, they wouldn't get far. All the while, they had to remember these were the people that destroyed their home and killed their friends.
Acer's specific instructions were to turn them into walkers, but if a few got head shots, who would blame them? More shots whizzed past Victor with one hitting the mark and hitting Tanya.
While Acer seemed to ignore his offer, Tanya ran out to assist Cade who was bleeding out on the ground. Seeing what was happening, James began to worry about what would happen next, was Acer going to drag off Colette regardless? Then they locked eyes and for a moment James thought maybe he had him convinced after all. Oh how wrong he was, before anyone could react, shots were fired. When James realized what had happened, it was too late and in an instant he fell to the ground.
Blood started to pour out of his chest and as he reached his hand up to stop the bleeding, he failed. As one last breath left his body, his head tilted to the side and his eyes landed on Colette, slowly it turned into a cold stare. The last he heard was people screaming and shooting all around him, the battle had begun, though his last thoughts went to Colette, who he would forever love, even in death.
(And thus James passes away)

Damon had watched everything unfold his rifle followed Acers head until gunfire broke the glass above him. He took a small chard of glass in the cheek making a cut yet kept his focus and fired. The shot narrowly passing Acer. He realised now that the only hop e any of them had was to kill as many of these bastards as possible. Samantha had kissed him for what could be the last act of love or kindness he would receive in this world. He returned the smile not needing to add anything.
Damon nudged her "Get low and cover the door. Bastards are aiming chest high." He began scanning the buildings and firing. Focusing on one gun man at a time. Damon was unaware of James death below and kept shooting. He saw one reload and waited.
"Come on you surviille scumbags. Smile for the camera" As a head rose he shot perfectly through the forehead. Damon had found his mark and now focused on New targets. He then pulled the shard out of his cheek and glanced back to Sam checking she was not hit, then firing.
Dan couldn't move, not without a piecing pain in his side. He made all the effort to get out here, he spent all he could to do that. Looking up he saw Remy, offered a smile as tried to stand. Dan collapsed back down, his knees hitting the floor with a thud.
Remy was at his side, pressing the coat to the wound. He was bleeding a lot, to much to handle. "You and I both know that's not true Remy," he said, leaning more against the wall. "We're realists. We don't believe in hope, not anymore."
He let out a yell of pain, straining as he fell to his other side. "It hit something inside, I can feel it Remy. I...I'm not going to make it." He looked straight ahead. "I don't want to turn. I won't have it."
He looked at his gun in his holster. He couldn't grab it, was to weak. "Remy, you need to do it. Help me. I don't want to be one of those things. I've studied enough of them, I don't want to become one."
Colette shook her head as James offered himself to Acer," James, stay out of this!" She didn't want him to get hurt, like Cade. She felt Acer snatch her by her arm, dragging her towards him.
He aimed and fired at James. Colette screamed, fighting against him, pulling to try to go to him. Acer held fast, gun aimed at her head. He called her people animals.
James was dead, she watched the life slip away from him. Colette fell silent. She was in hell, it was ice cold in hell, not hot and full of flames. No, the last circle of hell was dead cold. She looked at Acer. He was shouting orders. Kill them all! He wanted her people to turn, he wasn't going to give them dignity. She canted her head and slide closer to him. Bullets whipped past them, fire swam near them, but she heard nothing. It was silent, for her. Time had stopped. She saw James sit up. It almost killed her. A small black haired figure rose up near him. Angel. Colette couldn't breath! It felt like the weight of every life was sitting on her chest, crushing her ribs, suffocating her.
She felt Acer draw her close, but didn't hear a word he said. Horror filled her eyes at every turn. She shifted and faced him, pressed against him. Her arm was free. Somewhere along the way, he had let go. The little piece sticking up from his pocket, her fingers slipped in and pulled it out. Her hand gripped the handle.
Her broken hand, wrapped still, grabbed his gun hand. Colette was so close she could feel his breath on her face." Let me show you love." She mumbled as sick and twisted grin moved across her lips. Her good hand came up fast, she released his gun hand and gripped his shirt. The blade slid in so fast, it melted through his flesh. The blade had entered his neck, and as she kissed him, she pulled it towards her. Acer's blood spurt out and covered her face and hair. She pulled her face back and gazed into his eyes as she pulled the blade out. Pain shot through her hand as she gripped his gun hand, forcing it down towards the ground. She stood and watched his face.
Movement caught her eye, James was coming close. She felt Acer falling away from her and pulled the gun from his hand. Colette aimed and fired at James. One shot. She couldn't miss at this range. " peace, love, have peace." Tears slipped down her cheeks through the blood. Colette screamed as she fired it James head and felt a searing pain rock her forward as gunfire finally found purchase to her ears. The whole place was deafening loud as bullets zipped through the street. She fell to her knees.
Victor was forced to duck down as bullets whizzed past him. It was starting to get to close for comfort. While swapping mags again, Victor peaked over and saw Colette stab the man named Acer in the throat. As that man fell, he saw James who had a bullet wound in his chest stumble towards her. He quickly took aim at the walker, but Colette said something, yelled then pulled the trigger. James body hit the ground again for the last time. His eyes watched her as it seemed she froze up. "Fuck....worst time to freeze!" Victor said as he had to think of an idea. Sadly one came into mind which risked both of them. Standing he dropped the Scar H to the floor and drew out his M9 Side arm. The front door was still open, but that route had multiple fires. Shaking his head, he walked back then bolted forward. Jumping, he went through what was left of the wood planks covering the window. Landing on his feet, he would run for Colette going in a zig zag formation. As they shot at him, he fired back. At one moment he had stopped dead in his tracks as a bullet whizzed and hit the ground in front of him. Aiming, he saw the person pop back up and he fired the rest of his clip up at the person. Not waiting to see if he hit him or not, he was almost there. Running again, he felt the all to familiar pain of a bullet wound in his left arm. But he couldn't let it stop him from his task. Saving Colette. As he approached her, he saw a person standing up in a window with a bolt action rifle. His sights were on the woman. Diving at her, he tackled Colette to the ground as a round grazed his back. Picking her up and over his shoulders, he ran to the side alley where he ran towards the back. Another sharp pain that burned in his left thigh. Pure Adrenaline was feeding him. Running in through the back court yard, he charged right to the back door.
shifting her from his shoulders to his arms, he brought his shoulder down and slammed through the door breaking it. Holding her tight to himself, his body knew they were safe for a moment and collapsed to the ground skidding on his side. He let go of her and told her. "Go...run..." He dropped the empty clip to the floor and slammed in a fresh clip into the handgun. Coughing, he saw his own blood just seeping out. Crawling backwards, he forced himself to keep moving. At this point, he was near the kitchen. Slamming his knees and hand on the ground. The sound of two people running from where he was just at was heard. Quickly spinning around, he aimed down his M9 and saw two hostels bringing up their fire arms. He had the bead on them. His gun blasted four rounds, dropping them both on the spit. Dropping his gun, he laid his head down on to the ground breathing heavily. "Make that two fucking drinks..."
Acer watched as James dropped to the ground with a satisfied grin. He deserved that, just like his brother. It just took a little longer and poor Colette had been housing the fool. All she had to do was turn him over and all this could have been avoided. And now, whether she liked it or not, she was going to come with him. He had no desire to rape, torture or kill her whatsoever. He just wanted to possess her. Plain and simple.
"It's okay Colette. When everyone is dead inside, we'll clear them out, let them wander the streets and we'll move right back in. You'll get your home back."
She had finally stopped struggling and continued to walk with him, although it wasn't far and she was released from his grip. She got ahead, stopped and turned to him using her best seductive voice to show him love. She blinded him. She made him just as much a fool as Cade and James were and he didn't care. She could be his and he would devote himself solely to her and she took full advantage of that.
"I've loved you a long..." His words were stopped short as she pulled out the knife and shoved it through his throat. At first, his mind did not react to what his body was already realizing. His hands automatically came up to his throat as she ripped the knife from his neck, feeling the hot gush of his own blood spilling out. Only then, his mind realized he could not breathe. The only thing he could feel was the blood that was starting to drown him. He tried to take a breath, but the only thing that started to fill his lungs was fluid. His piercing, blue eyes went wide. It was a slow, agonizing death as he fell to his knees.
The last thing he heard was the sounds of bullets being fired as he watched her body, eyes trailing down her legs, to her feet and finally to the ground where he landed. His body twitched and the fire of madness had finally been extinguished.
The firing continued, aiming at anyone that popped around a corner, popped their heads out, or attempted to come out. Several men watched as Acer was killed right there, in the streets, by Colette. But what were they supposed to do? Were they to kill her or would they admit defeat? Some would admit defeat and instead of turning themselves in to Colette and her men, they decided to hit the road and run off.
A few more men were taken off their perches on the roof and at the windows as shots were fired back. Arden, Victor, Luca and Simon were good shots that could pinpoint their targets, although it was a slower pace.
Only a handful of men were left, looking to avenge the death of their leader as he lay in the street. These people took their home away from them.
(Only about 5 men left. Feel free to npc killing them)
